Alright, I was browsing the computer and looking up different things, trying to see when we're getting in the 360 elite, and I saw that there was a new listing for Wii. The number is 200620, I think and it's still $339.99.

However as it's a different number than last time and a different description, I think it'll include Zelda and another remote/nunchuck. Of course I could be wrong about the packins, but I'm positive that all Costcos will have them.

Thanks for the info. I already have a Wii but was going to get an Elite, though. So, will Costco have them? I'd love to get a bundle there (PLEASE include Oblivion in that Costco!) for the warranty (however it has or hasn't been changed for consoles ;)). I'm assuming you didn't find any info on them though.

You are correct, I couldn't find any info. I was going to check the work computer that gets all the corporate emails, but the managers were using it so all I could check was the inventory computers. They did have some various bundles, but that was the bundles that are on the website. As well, yes, the warranty has not been changed for consoles.

I asked them why and they said they didn't see a market for them. :bomb: :bomb:[/QUOTE]

Seriously?? That has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard from any retail establishment EVER. It seems like a Wii bundle is the PERFECT Costco item. I mean, mine had a pallet full of PS3 bundles with fucking Genji in them. If they think there's a market for that, they ought to carry Wii bundles. I'll just assume that what you heard was from an ignorant individual and does not represent any particular Costco corporate decision or policy ;). I mean, they do sell Wii games, do they not??

Anyway, sonderiaom, now that the Elite is on the Costco web site for preorder, does that make it likely they will be in store? I'm sure they will at some point, but the question is when. I am willing to wait a few weeks for them but it will be hard... I'd get it online but it seems a bit expensive + they charge shipping (why can't they give some perk for the stupid Executive membership like free shipping??). In the past, the 360 bundles have been $10-$20 more online than in store + there's shipping on top of that. So I would expect this $530 bundle (extra controller + Plug-n-play) to be $520 or so. They want $18 to ship to me also... I'm tempted, but I'll hold off until we get some info about in-store sales.

That is complete bullshit. When I'd checked the listings, EVERY SINGLE werehouse in the northwest was getting a pallet of 24, some even getting 2 pallets. I'll check the other regions to be positive that your werehouse is getting it just to be sure.

Agreed, that's to offset the people from just ordering online and to go into stores, where they will invariably spend $100 more on things they 'might' need.

I'll check the in-store specs today when I go in and post about it around 11pst.

Yes, they sell Wii games, so the whole thing about not carrying them made no sense to me.

And we have the same PS3 bundle here at our stores with Genji in it, so I know they're carrying those.

I'd prefer to pick up a Wii from Costco, since my EB/GS stores around here suck in getting one.

There's only two stores in the St. Louis area, the one in St. Peters on Costco Way and the other one in South County on Rusty Road.

I thought it was complete BS, though I'm usually in Costco at least 2-3x a month, so I'd expect to see them if they were being carried. They have PS3's, 360's, PS2's, PSP's, DS's, so it's not like they're not carrying any hardware.

Interesting - didn't know the motivation behind the different pricing. I will be eagerly anticipating your post on the Elite info, thanks!

Of course they'll never admit it, but that's of course what it is.

And, it's not the good info like I'd hoped I'd be able to get to you. It appears that it's not set up for any werehouses, or at least none I could find, so it looks like online is the only choice for now. I was having a terrible time at work so I wasn't able to do all that I was able, but I'll try again later.
