Wii Bowling games (Wii Sports vs the Others)

Interested to see how AMF does. I mean the damn tech demo wii bowling was great. I dont understand how a studio couldnt copy that and then go deeper? Is it that fricken hard to just copy Nintendo, maybe Sony should make a few games for the Wii, they would get it right! But in all seriousness C'mon.

Bowling, Boxing both need to be extended and soon.

Damn. I picked up Brunswick over the weekend for my dad for xmas. ($20 at Best Buy)

Will have to see if AMF is any better befire wrapping it. :)

The problem with Brunswick is that the bowling wasnt in real time. You finish making your bowling motion and then the game goes thru its canned animation of throwing the ball. It was probably just a port of a PS2 game with tacked on Wii controls.

The awesomeness of Wii Sports bowling is that it feels like your actually doing it. Any bowling game on the Wii needs to mimmick that, and then add in a good story mode, with lots of other characters to play against, Tournaments, and some kinda online modes, leaderboards at the very least.

Oh yeah.. and cosmic bowling... :D

Take the Brunswick bowling back now. You stand the chance of ruining Christmas if you let someone open that as a gift. Seriously, a 54 on gamerankings is a GOOD score for this game. Anyone giving it more than 25% must be hitting the pipe too often. One can only hope that the AMF is better, but I wouldn't bet on it at the $20 pricepoint on release. Sounds like shovelware bait to me.

The general census is correct, Brunswick is nothing more than a lazy port of the PS2 game - and by lazy I mean the devs either did as little as possible or they gave it to evil zombie monkeys to complete.

My mother-in-law picked up AMF the other day, I'll give that one a try tomorrow, hopefully.
