Wii capabilities beyond what you've ever dreamed possible

Only did it for a couple of seconds, but it worked for me... Did you set it up right? (wiimote able to "see" sensor bar on your forehead at all times?)

I don't think it's impractical. Even if you still had to use joysticks to move or a button setup to actually move, it still adds amazing possibilities to periphal vision. This would actually make me pick up an FPS again.

Again, I know it sounds cool, but I've played FPSes using IR tracking on PC, and it's really, really not very fun at all. Just my own personal experience.

Haven't tried it, but a few puzzles here and there in a puzzle game would be cool.

What head trackers are there on the PC?
Also I think the Wii would be diffrent sine you could actully duck for cover and dodge side to side rather than sitting at a keyboard bobbing your head around.

You can spend a lot of money and buy a TrackIR system, or you can get the exact same effect with a standard webcam and the program FreeTrack.

They used one of this dude's ideas and made an app for Homebrew. This is awesome.

That is pretty amazing.

That's great. The Wii is going to have a bunch of really impressive and innovative homebrew apps by the end of it's lifespan.

Crazy tubby asian.

While it is interesting, its not overly practical. As so many console enthusiasts are ever so eager to point out, the nice part about consoles is sitting on your ass on the couch. This is going to require a large, open environment to play on and its practically useless on small-midsize TVs.

Yeah, what is this guy thinking, designing an application that has you standing up and waving a remote thing around. It reminds me of that system that was supposed to come out a few years ago called the "Revolution" or something. It's no wonder they never bothered to follow through with that.
