Wii Component Cable (by iMax) $6 shipped @ Amazon

excuse my idiocracy, this is different than the gamecube comp cables correct?
are there different ports on the wii for a/v out?
it appears there are wii cables that have different connectors.

As far as I can tell my Wii only has one A/V connector. Never owned the GC component cable so not sure if same or not. I do think they are different tho.

They are indeed different, by all testimonies (I do have both a Wii and a Gamecube, and they look different, although admittedly I haven't done a side-by-side comparison). But you definitely aren't supposed to be able to hook up a gamecube cable to a wii.

However, a third-party cable might have multi-system a/v hookups that work with both Wii and Gamecube (like this or this [which I actually forgot that I have, never used it for anything but my Gamecube :p] . But in any event, the Wii only has one connector on the back, so if it claims to connect to the Wii, it has to work with your Wii console.

Just thought I would let you people know I have ordered from this seller (eforcity) on ebay and had no problems. If you are interested look them up on ebay.

sounds interesting, dunno about that 480p limit though. it's probably good enough cause the wii's graphics suck anyway

edit: after reading about it, looks like 480p is the best the wii can handle. just ordered it, might as well have component for when I actually get the stupid system

Wii can only output at 480P anyway....

GC component cables only do video, and you use the composite cable for R/L audio.

Wii component cables do video + audio, so you can't use the GC cables on the Wii.
Sooo...they should be .01 cent and $5.98 shipping???
Yeah. I think that's a technique to get your item listed at the top.
