A quick summary of the press release as follows:

--Open New York environments with over 35 missions across two very different time periods - 1978 and 2006.

--Full Wii controller integration - for targeting, driving, gesture-based actions - with over 30 unique functions with both the Wii remote and nunchuck.

--Control and customise over 80 vehicles - from your standard cars and trucks, to motorcycles and bonus cars - "be a gangster".

--Fulfill dreams and experience impossible scenarios that would be far too dangerous in reality.

--The Wii version features a lot of enhancements over the Xbox and PS2 original - namely AI upgrades, a graphical overhall (as seen here), improvements in physics and some Wii special effects that have yet to be announced.
Over 30 unique functions? I wonder if that includes button presses or if it's just actual movements? That last point is interesting to see if it's pans out.

What the fuck? Ubi is actually going to put time into making this. Thats something new... I thought they would just fuck it over with a few Wiimote tricks, but wow. Doesn't make me want to buy it but it does keep me hopeful that we could see a good Wii port like (start hoping) okami (end hoping) please capcom.

Are any of the Driver sequels any good? I've heard bad things about all of them, it seems. The first one was one of my favorite PC driving games, though, so I always have hope of a quality follow-up.

2 and Parallel Lines are both pretty good, with 3 being crap. There's a new PSP game coming that will be a sequel to PL.
