I'd like to see these:

House of the Dead series
Carnevil
Vitrua Cop 1 & 2
Silent Scope
Point Blank - Good idea, Dr. Mario Kart.
Operation : Wolf / Operation : Thunderbolt
T2 : The Arcade Game

Others?

I remember an arcade shooter that had you stand on a pad and actually move around. Now they can do that for reals. Don't recall the name though.

They did Point Blank on the damn DS, I think they can do it here.

Depends on the size of the SD card.

I believe you're referring to Police 911. There were actually two of those games, to my knowledge, and the second one had epic Engrish. If you accidentally shot an innocent, the words "DON'T SHOOTS THE HOSTAGE" would flash over the screen and you'd lose a life.

Point Blank needs to happen like nobody's business.

If we're doing T2...Revolution X, anyone? *ducks*

EDIT: YES! Super Scope games are must-have, as is the 6-game pack that came with the Sega Menacer. There was a Breakout-style game, a Hogan's Alley ripoff, some game where you have to keep bugs from eating pizza (ugh) an Operation Wolf ripoff, and one where you defended a space station or something, but the best game on there was a ToeJam 'n Earl-themed shooter with tomatoes. I think it was called "Ready, Aim, Tomatoes" or something. Awesome game.

Let's Go Jungle might be a bit much to put on the Wii, but I'd kill for it. Blasting spiders in a jungle as a bickering married couple... classic.

Everyone who didn't say The Lost World - Jurassic Park is a fuckING EPIC FAILURE

I know they weren't fantastic light gun games, but in addition to the above I want a set from Atari/Midway - Area 51, Area 51: Site 4, and Maximum Force.

QFMFGDT!!! I'd buy a Wii for this game alone, seriously. Are there any other ways to play this game out there? I haven't played it since the closest arcade took it out of their place. :(

Yeah - that Sega 6-pak would be fun - and you are correct. Ready, Aim, Tomatoes! was a really good shooter. Funny as all hell IIRC.

No joke, I LOVED that game.

I agree with the OP about Carnevil, I loved playing that game in the arcade.

I'm really looking forward to the House of the Dead 2 and 3 collection that's coming out pretty soon on the Wii.

I would also like to see an Area 51/Area 51 Site 4/ Maximum Force compilation budget release. I would imagine that a port of these three games would be cheap and easy for Atari, and if they priced it correctly ($30 or so) I'm sure it would sell pretty well.

Man! Carnevil! I remember beating that game EVERY time I went to the bowling alley as a kid. 8)

I'd also like to see the old Super Scope games make a comeback. Notably Yoshi's Safari and the Super Scope 6 mini-games.

It'd be cool if Capcom would re-release the Gun Survivor series on Wii w/improved controls too.

I used to love Police Trainer in the arcade, but that's pretty heavily based on accuracy, which the wimote isn't so good for. Police Trainer for $20 with lots of new games and online leaderboards, then I'd buy it.

I am highly disappointed in this thread. When you say "shooter" I naturally assumed you meant "shmups" such as Gradius, Life Force, DoDonPachi, etc. This thread is full of fail. :p

Probably not "classic" but I just saw Aliens Extermination at Chuck E Cheese for the first time a couple days ago. Aliens + Light Shooter = awesome.

That HotD box is awesome. It goes without saying that it'll be sold separately..

Right?
