CAGiversary!
"Error has occured. Press the eject button and remove the disk, then turn the Wii off. Then refer to the Wii manual for trouble shooting"

Anyone have any idea?

It won't even let me read a disk at all. Gamecube, Wii, cd, anything.....

We tried calling EB but they kept saying use the Start up disk...which doesn't exist. And Nintendo's hotline is busy...

Mail it to me and I'll fix it. ;)

[quote name='bluenatas09']Ouch.

It's my girlfriends little brothers Wii, mine seems to be working fine.
Thanks for the suggestions about turning the disks upside down...but I had that figured out.

Here's a link to Kotaku with someone who's having the same problem..how lame.

At least they're replacing it for that person. I guess you're one of the few (so far).

The first Nintendo launch console with a defective rate higher than 1% (just guessing there, based on reputation alone)? We'll see. The 'good' news is that getting a replacement should be fairly easier than swapping out a PS3 in the coming weeks, or the 360 last Fall, for that matter.

The Wii does seem like it's got quite a few 'pieces-parts', including the Wiimote, that could easily be broken by the time the owner hooks it up.

Luckily it's Nintendo and they don't give you a hard time like the shity companies *cough Sony cough* do.
