I waited a little bit to post this deal cause i wanted to see if they were any good. I ordered a set of two, for my 4 remotes, and absolutely love them. They work great and last quite a while. The only complaint is that they're pretty bright, but can be shut off if you hard shut off your wii (hold the power button for like 5 seconds) I have since ordered 4 more, 2 sets for each of my brothers, and no matter how many you order you only pay $6 shipping for the total order. They ship pretty fast too, mine came after only 3 or 4 days. They plug in the usb ports only though, so if you have a keyboard or something, you might want to get a usb splitter, and the cord is pretty short too. Sorry for the long post, enjoy.

They also have a hole to access the sync button, and it's not hard to peel off the bottom of the remote gloves and have them half on. The plastic around the cradles is really shiny and the blue led's are super bright. They feel solid and nicely constructed.

Definitely not the nyko one, but seems to be of really high quality. My little brother has actually has been having problems with his nyko ones. He bought 2 sets, for $30 a piece, and is throwing away them. 3 out of the 4 battery packs stopped working, and the charging stands don't make a good connection to the batteries for some reason. I haven't had them long enough to give a final verdict, but they seem to work at least as good as the nyko ones did at first, and they're a third the price. The brand name is Insten.

yeah, the retail price seems a bit inflated, but they do work really good. haven't had a single problem. I only posted them after i have used them quite a while because i was a bit worried too. Have faith, they seem fine.

They don't look high quality at all. If you said the Nyko ones suck then I wonder how much these unknown brands suck

So how do these work exactly? Do they come with special battery packs designed to fit in the Wii Remotes? Are those particular battery packs replaceable once the charges run out?

they have battery packs with contacts on the outside that replace the battery covers on the wii remotes. Not sure about replacement batteries, but they're cheap enough to just buy a new set. I haven't had them nearly long enough to say how long they will last as far as recharges are concerned, but i've been playing the crap out of boom blox, and have gone for 3+ hours without recharging, so they do last quite a while on one charge. check the product page for pics of the battery packs, the labels on the back are just stickers if you wanted to remove them and just have a plain white back on them.
