Super Turrican, SNES, 800 Points

And that's it :whistle2:\
Just saw it too. Not even River City Ransom , that sucks.

Seriously, this was ridiculous.
No PR leak, making it look like it was ultra top secret.
No PR this morning, again, making it seem a surprise.

For 1 game. How nice? Oh well.

So if I sell my wii does the buyer get to enjoy all the VC games I bought or does Nintendo make them buy the games on there own and I am not able to sell my wii for a slightly higher price? I wonder if thats why they didn't put a real harddrive in the gamecube 1.5?

They get to keep all your games. Though Nintendo did say something about wiping everything clean or something...I forget

That's probably why there was no PR leak.

Nobody expects April Fool's in March. Looks like you've been had.
So should I consider buying Super Turrican? I honestly know nothing about it.
I never played the SNES version but I did have Turrican on the Amiga. It was great for an Amiga game, but that platform didn't really excel in this genre so I'm not sure that it would've been a standout on the SNES.

I don't expect it to be a 'bad' game but I also don't expect it to be 'great'. This is one where a demo would be really welcome.

Once the complaining ceases, please realize that Super Turrican is an EXCELLENT game and a must-buy for anybody who likes side-scrolling action games.

I just wrote nintendo an email and I suggest everyone do the same.
If we don't whine to them then they won't know we are pissed!
I think I might have to write to them every week from now on.
I guess they wan't to release VC games in 2020 or something.

I confess my disappointment for no River City Ransom. Of all the speculation, that one at least seemed reasonable. And I really want to play it again.

Weak!!!!!!!! Just one release and it's Spuer Turrican...........

If your going to release just 1 game , make sure it's a good game like Mario RPG.....

Ah well, there's always next week..........

Yes. I want Super ****ing Smash Bros. so it becomes obsolete in one week. Would you people shut the **** up.. and this game is good.

That's what I've been saying the last 4, or is it 5 weeks now?
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Ha, better than whining in here with insignificant posts when all you should be doin is talking about the games.

Actually no, it's not. Equal to whining? Maybe, but e-mailing Nintendo is NOT better then whining.

Gates of Thunder intro rocks. Too bad the sound effects are turned up too high during the gameplay.

My understanding is that the game is good, but it is incredibly disappointing to see only one game get released.

Salt in the wound is added when you consider that Smash Bros 64 should have been out by now, since that would have easily tided everyone over for a few weeks at the least.

So I think a lot of the complaining is pretty warranted. However is in charge of this over at NoA is dropping the ball repeatedly.

Hell, RCR would tide me over for months. They could literally just send out messages every Monday telling me to fuck myself over and over, and I'd still be way too happy to care.

This.

When there's 1 release, I think it should be pretty big. I know nothing of Super Turrican, however, I doubt it's considered a BIG title. Today was the perfect day to release Smash Bros 64, but for some reason they didn't. Yeah maybe next Monday....but it seems kinda pointless by that point.

But if memory serves me correctly, Super Paper Mario came out in April. Paper Mario came out on the VC in July.

Personally, playing Smash 64 would of made me appreciate how amazing Brawl is. But whatever.

Here's where I am confused when it comes to releases. Somebody has a job to say "Monday, March 3 2008 we will release __________". Why does this person (or group of people) decide to say that _____ will be released when they do? Sometimes they try and be clever and make a theme...but sometimes they just make no sense. Sigh.

I hate when they miss oppertunities like this, that is all :bomb:

Man. Japan got another channel. It's nothing big and fancy, but it's neat.

It's the TV Guide Channel!

There is a new channel available from the Wii Shop in Japan. Hold on to your hats! It's a TV guide which will let you share information about your favourite programmes with your Wii buddies, and Nintendo. You can even change channels on your TV with your Wiimote.

Aside from saving you a few hundred yen on TV Guides this is a bit of a waste of 135 blocks of your Wii's internal memory, but as it is free of charge we can't complain too much.

Maybe Nintendo might have bigger plans for this such channel such as an HDD/Tuner add-on to enable the Wii to actually record TV (a similar service is coming out soon for the PS3). That would be interesting, but at the moment it seems unlikely.

There are no announcements that the TV Guide channel will become available in Europe, North America or Australia. Implementing the Japanese G-Guide is one thing, but trying to support every nationalities free-to-air TV schedules seems like a bit of a tall order.

We knew that this one was going to be coming out for awhile now. I'm not all that interested. I can't wait for Everyone's Nintendo channel to launch here and WiiWare (which at least there's a date for).

I feel pretty much the same as ChibiJosh, but I still want this TV Guide channel too. I don't even watch TV and I want this channel. I don't want my Wii to feel left out.

The TV guide channel is even better if you have the IR-enabled Wiimote apparently.

It changes inputs and channels for you.
And goes back to the Wii when you hit Home.

IR enable Wiimote? Porquoi?
wasn't wiiware having a may release? if it's march then even better!
May for US :whistle2:(
March for Japan :bomb:

I figured they just drew names out of a hat, but if it was a game that showed up on anybody's most wanted list they'd draw again.

Nintendo released a Wiimote shaped tv remote in Japan via ClubNintendo a while back (before the Wii's launch).

Some people have imported them since they tend to show up on various eBay sites.

Seems that the TV Guide channel over there can work with that remote directly, considering some of the information running around the web at the moment.
