Really excited about Shining Force 2.

As happy as I am though about us getting Mario Golf , I'm going to have to pass on it for the same reason I passed on Mario Kart 64. Cause the downloadable version is gimped. Mario Kart is missing the ability to save your ghost time trial times , which takes away a lot of the replay value. Mario Golf takes away the ability the use the transfer pack and load up your custom golfer from Mario Golf GB into the game (Of course with Mario Golf there was no way they could have replicated this , Mario Kart they had less of an excuse).
No offense, but that's a lame argument against Mario Golf 64.

Everyone needs to buy this game.

You're not downloading the game because you can't transfer your GB character?

Thats almost as lame as people not downloading MM9 because Megaman can't slide. :whistle2:|

Granted my reason for not buying the game is not going to effect most people because:
1.Most people probably no longer have Mario Golf 64.
2.Those that do probably don't have the game boy anyway.

I have both so I have no reason to "upgrade" my 64 release to the VC release (something I've been doing for most of the other VC releases).

Those who don't fit the above description should definitely buy this game cause it is a good game , I just won't be.

See my above post , you must've posted right when I did cause I didn't see your post when I previewed mine. If I still didn't have the 64 and GB mario golf games , I would've downloaded it in a moment. Same thing with Mario Kart.

Comparing the mario golf thing to megaman isn't a good comparison since megaman couldn't always slide , only since the third game.

I know this is probably a futile question, but has anyone heard anything on Earthbound ever actually coming to the VC? I stopped paying attention to Wii updates a few months ago...

Nintendo hates Earthbound fans.

Was rated by the ESRB a few months ago , but no news regarding when we're actually going to receive it.
Shing force II and midnite bowling?
 I didn't notice "Shing," but I assume it was length constraints.

Anyone..download.. Midnight Bowling? I have to admit, I really enjoyed Wii Sports Bowling and wouldn't mind something similar, if not better, for $8.

I know midnite was there for length but I wasn't aware of "SHING"

Nah, I realise you need more space. I was just being mean.

Same here, but I wasn't all that disappointed when he just stood there. *shrugs*
I just miss him being able to charge up his shots...or was that MMX only? I don't even remember anymore.
He was able to start charging his shots in MM4.
I have to admit, one of the first things I tried to do in the game was slide.
Same here, I flipped when i couldnt do it...but it still didnt take anything away from the MM 9 Experience.

I love Shing Force II!!!!

Mario golf is fun, but I already have the cartridge.
Neo Turf Masters is a superior game! Too bad they didn't throw in the extra neo-geo cd course. The VC would be an epic failure without the import games and games like lords of thunder.

beat Orbient today. and a ton of extra levels were unlocked. i played 2, and then had to take a break. it was getting pretty hard, which i think i'll like on a different night, but not tonight. the game is finally starting to give some variety in it's art style, which i greatly appreciate. and the level design is looking really interesting on these extra levels.

Proto Man can...
- Slide
- Charge his Shot
- block minor shots while jumping with his shield
- Take double damage
- Gets double knockback

For people who got the Mega Man 9 DLC, what's more worth it? Proto Man or Endless Attack? BTW, I love that Endless Attack starts with Mega Man 1 Wily Castle setpiece.

There's supposedly a total of
9
galaxies.
The 7th galaxy is opened after you complete the first 6 main ones, then the 8th is opened after you complete the first extra 5. The 9th is opened after you get the moon on all previous galaxies. :hot:

I played the set of extra galaxies last night, and wow they start to get much harder.

Has anyone noticed this floating spinning icon of sorts flying around? I did not notice it until I was on the last galaxy. I tried capturing it but it seems to always escape me. Anyone knows what it does?

That sales chart probably needs to be asterisked. Or at least make sure you're aware of their methodology as you read through it. Probably as close as we'll get without any official releases, but it's all extrapolated based on Nintendo Channel info.

Thats a lot of money to be making on the super mario bros nowadays.
Nintendo could have given us our moneys worth if they had online leaderboards for the games and online functionality for some of the solid 2 player games.
Instead of doing something like that nintendo would rather charge you 8 bucks for a gameboy color game and not let you use your wii points to buy it.
You guys have to buy DSI points sorry. That sounds too much like DSL, but I guess nintendo is going for that decade old technology where it counts.

yeah. I only have six moons left!
and then five more to get the ending'
Floating spinning icon sounds like a UFO. Read something about it at GameFAQs.

on a random note,

did anyone hear about how nintendo are renaming their points from Wii points to Nintendo Points?

I heard its because of the new DSi thats coming out..and its the points are going to be restricted. you either put all your points from your points card for the DSi only or Wii only. that sucks.

Those numbers don't make sense. Well, here's my confusion.
The reason Sin & Punishment 2 is going to exist is because of the "high" sales on the VC. Maybe the sales weren't enormous, and maybe they were a lot higher than expected.

"If we put S&P on the VC, like, 10 people will buy it!"
::8,000 people buy it::
":whee:"

*Printing of money removed
This certainly explains why Nintendo would have an interest in fighting piracy even on old systems. 7-figure gains from releasing old games that may only require 5-figures to prep and test for Wiiware, my word, its crazy and yet I would be willing to buy more games...

How very odd.
I dont mind it. At least they didnt make you buy seperate DS points
yep thats true...but it still kinda sucks. I mean it would be nice if i can split a 5000 pt card between the two...but im not even going to get the DSi anyway.

dam i wanna be home right now.....shing force II awaits!

speaking of this, are the 5000 and 3000 point cards new? Over here we only have 2000 point cards.

But they come in dinky cases :bouncy:

I'm pretty sure I've seen 3000 and 5000 points cards in the wild. 2000 does seem to be the most comment, but I recall seeing the larger values at places like Target.

I saw them in Japan. I don't think they exist outside of there, but I could be wrong.

Maybe I'm mistaken and thinking of buying them directly through the Wii Shop channel.

That's what I was going to say.

I've only seen 2000pt cards in the wild , but the wii shop channel sells them in 1000 , 2000 , 3000 , and 5000pt sets. Never quite understood why they skip 4000 though.

Maybe for the same reason there is no Canon G4?
