Wii Sports / Crossbow Training dvd case solution?

I'm tempted to get the zapper, but Crossbow Training sans a standard Wii DVD case is the deal breaker for me.

I really want to add Wii Sports to my dvd tower along with the other games too, but I'm wondering what the best solution is.

Do places even sell single white dvd cases? And then I have the issue with printing the cover graphic onto suitable paper. Has anyone had experience with this and can offer any tips?

Wii game cases can be ordered directly from Store.Nintendo.com.
Covers can be printed from thecoverproject.net - check their forums for tips on printing.

theses, and all covers, are available at:

standard bright white paper will work just fine. once it's behind the plastic of the dvd case, it'll look really good. if you want paper stock that's closer to the original, you'll need to get a hold of some gloss 60#-80# text weight paper.

as for the cases...i've seen low, inexpensive quantities on ebay pretty frequently.

Right before the Wii launched, Target was selling an Activision Wii promo DVD for $0.01. I got one, tossed the promo DVD, and stuck my copy of Wii Sports in it with a custom case. Just wish I had gotten a few more at the time... :)

I did this + the tactic of whenever I abuse a trade-in deal at some place that doesn't care about the case (EB, anyone?), I will put the Wii game + original coverslip into a generic DVD case lying around.

As for paper: the standard your printer runs is fine when cut to fit and behind the plastic gloss.

I was able to get cases for Wii Sports and Link's Crossbow Training simply by asking for an empty display case @ TRU around Christmas time.

They had TONS of them lying around due to the "Buy 2 get 1" sales and the clerks could've cared less about giving me one of the 20+ ExciteTruck display boxes they had stacked up behind the register. :D

That's actually a great idea to try. Don't they just throw them out anyway?

you should be able to pick up a single white case at a local record store for like a buck. Rasputin/Tower/Etc... Otherwise I'm sure you could find like a 5 pack.

I would suggest keeping a lookout for Wii Sports just by itself at Gamestop which will sometimes be in a blank white case. You can then buy it for $9.99 and sell just the disc in any case for like $30 or goozex it for something similar.

I have used the print out and it looks great. the hardest part is cutting it to fit if printed on an 8.5x11. Also, some wii point cards are sold in the white cases, so if you find one, buy points and get the case.
