We've had this question before a few times waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back (
here's an ancient thread about it).
One option is here:
VDIGI VD-W2 VGA Cord that allows you to hook up directly to a monitor.
A
review for them says that they work very well, but that they will only work with 480p games. Some Wii games do not support this, and if you plan on playing Gamecube games, you'll find a good portion that also don't. If you try to play one, the signal simply won't work and you'll get a blank screen.
That's one option.
The second option is a VGA box. The popular one seems to be the
XCM 1080P VGA Box. Reviews appear to be favorable and it'll get the job done. It's more expensive than the above cable, but it also supports other consoles, giving you more flexibility in the long run. I imagine this thing might not have the problem the cable above has, but I don't know for sure.
I'm pretty sure you won't find anything cheap to convert to HDMI, since that would be going from analog -> digital, which would necessitate something more expensive.
Honestly I'm not the guy to ask about this stuff, but I wanted to try and provide an answer as best I could.
Anyway, I hope this helps at least a bit, but you'd do well to ask around in other places as well.
AVS Forum might be a good place to head to.
