Its an affordable alternative to people who just want to *gasp* play the game.
That's why i got a couple. I wanted to play Pikmin, and add the disc to my collection, but not at eBay prices. If I wanted one to sell, I should have bought it a few years ago.

I figure it will be $10 one day, but it's fine, I like the discs anyways, they let me play downstairs on the old Wii.

If you can rename inputs, try naming it "PC" and see if that makes any difference. It's usually more of a Samsung trick, but who knows. Maybe it'll help.
Just figured out a way to do this. I'll give it a try! Anything is worth a try. :) I have given up pretty much.

I bought a Mario Galaxy which doesn't have a physical manual, but there is a pamphlet telling me where to access one online. Did I get gypped, or did they not include manuals with certain releases (it's from the Nintendo Select re-release). I need to know soon, as the receipt will soon expire.

You bought it new? I know my black label copy had a manual and I just watched an unboxing of the selects label and it had the same manual. Maybe a recent run of it dropped the manual or something?

But if you plan to buy super mario world 3d anyway, you can usually find some place selling a new mario bundle for $270 or less.

Looks like I'm the victim of a reseal. BB has 14 day return/exchange policy, and receipt is dated Jan 20th. Guess its too late. Damn!

Walmart sells used games so it must've been a trade in.

That strip is so ugly, who is the genius at Nintendo that thought it was a good idea to make their refurb games less appealing?
It's done on purpose. They don't want people buying up "refurbished" copies and pawning them off to retailers as New. That would be Nintendo's worst nightmare. It's exactly what happens when you buy a refurbished console - it doesn't come in a 'retail' style box. Be lucky you even get case and artwork, I would have honestly thought it would be disc only. MS and Sony don't even offer refurbished games, so you can either buy Nintendo's or not.

I don't think anyone noticed in the Club Nintendo madness, but there's a sale on Ubisoft games in the eShop!

Child of Light - $11.24 (weird price)
Cloudberry Kingdom - $4.99
Rayman Legends - $19.99
Rabbids Land - $12.49
ZombiU - $22.49
Tom Clancy - $14.99
Assassin's Creed III - $14.99

Watch Dogs - $44.99
Just Dance 2015 - $29.99
Marvel Avengers - $14.99
The Smurfs 2 - $19.99
Your Shape - $12.49

Bout time for a Child of Light sale, thanks!
No problem! The sale ad is on the bottom of the home page, so it's pretty well hidden. Meanwhile Curve Digital is highlighted at the top.

Nintendo firing shots? Maybe. Either way, Watch Dogs is still hilariously overpriced.

Got Cloudberry Kingdom and Rayman Legends from the sale. Already has Child of Light.

Anything else in the sale worth it beyond those 3?
Edit: Considering Rabbids Land for $12.49. Looks like a fun Mario Party-style game, and gives 50 coins. Can anyone vouch for this game?

I bought Cloudberry Kingdom last time it was on sale and hated it.  Tough as nails, floaty controls, and really boringly procedurally generated levels (what is with all the boring procedural generation--it was boring in Diablo, boring before Diablo, and it's still boring).

Am I missing something?

Any good deals on the eshop that gives you a decent amount of points? I downloaded the W101 demo yesterday and I'm a little mixed about dropping 30 bones on it.

Edit: I just realized I wrote this in the eshop thread instead of the club Nintendo one. :p

I found my Metroid Prime Trilogy pre-order T-Shirt in the closet the other day and I put it up on eBay. Should be interesting if it sell, and for how much.

I might put the poster up too. Undecided at the moment.

Same. I was hoping for another Wii game.

Otherwise, I do not really care about anything else on sale, or any of the new releases.

Was really hoping for Mega Man Zero 2 like EU got. Nintendo's release schedules don't make sense. We get Zero first, they get it after. Then they get Zero 2 first, and we get it... eventually?

I still got mine from that one, and I think MP2. The Trilogy was a white shirt, right? The other one I think is brown or green. It's in the closet at my mom's house.

I'm gonna watch your auction and see what that sells for.

Grab portable HDD with a Y cable.

Some people have also reported success using a flash drive, even though Nintendo recommends against them.
Yeah a flash drive does work fine but since you can only use one may as well just splurge for a cheap HDD.

Why does Nintendo not recommend a flash drive?
Because they have limited read/write cycles and because games can read/write heavily and/or erratically it can accelerate that. Realistically it wouldn't ever affect most people but it could.

Assassin's Creed question: Never played one. Figured I might give it a shot so I have something "mature" to play once in a while if the mood strikes. Assassin's Creed IV can be gotten MUCH more cheaply than the sale price, but Assassin's Creed III sale price ($14.99) seems on point for what it retails new. Is it worth the buy?

Thanks in advance!

I think most people would steer you away from 3 for many reasons. 4 though is a winner and probably the most self contained of the series in terms of story (3 is a big cluster that wraps up the arc from the previous four games). There's also pirates and boats and junk in addition to the normal AC stuff and a much better jumping in point than 3.

Weird, I thought they were all self-contained, interesting. 3 just looked more fun to me because you play as a native killing some brits, haha. Oh well then, thanks for the heads up! And goodbye for now, Assassin's Creed.

AC3 was so hyped that it was Ubisoft's most preordered game in their history at the time, and most people were pretty disappointed by it compared to the hype. The Vita side-story (AC3: Liberation) was ported as an HD downloadable title for PS360, and they dropped the '3' from the title when it was re-released if that's any indication.
