wii wheel shortage

just got mario kart wii to play with my gf.
i live in south jersey. i have checked 3 gamestops, 2 walmarts, best buy, toys r us, k-mart. no one has the wii wheel. even amazon says its 2 to 4 weeks for shipping. i know walmart its 9.99 and amazon now has it at 10.99.

anyone else notice the shortage and have any info why.
 
Did you check the 'used' wheels? I always see tons of them at gamestop. Yeah, I know it's as good as buying a used controller (ewwwhh). But if you disinfect and clean you're fine. It is, after all, just a piece of plastic.
 
honestly yes i did. i don't know if this is regional or what. but the fact amazon is 2 to 4 weeks on shipping is making me wonder.
 
If you can't find the first party, I say go for the Nerf wheels. Picked 2 up from Best Buy a few weeks back for $11 each.
 
I have 4 wheels that I bought with Mario Kart Wii. I have hardly used them at all. I mainly play 2 player, so the other 2 I have have probably been used 2-3 times tops.

ive also seen a couple bundles for 20 bucks, racing games that comes with a wheel at walmart. one is 4X4 racing, and the other is some generic racing game.
