Will Best Buy price match Amazon Prime 20% new games?

Looking to pick up Dragon Quest Builders. I've had Best Buy price match Amazon before, but haven't ever tried with the Prime 20% off new games.

Edit: just double checked the BBY price match policy, they say "video game discounts related to a membership program" are not matched. Wondering how strictly this is enforced, or if people have had luck regardless.

You need to get Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) and you'll get 20% off. Best Buy actually had GCU long before Amazon had the Prime 20% off, Amazon actually introduced their discount because they were losing out on alot of video game sales to Best Buy, so their system is a response.

The nice thing about GCU over Amazon Prime is that with GCU you get 20% off all games at all times, whereas the Amazon Prime 20% off discount is only good for up to two weeks after the game is released.

I shop at Best Buy maybe once or twice a year, so signing up for their thing isn't really worth it for me. I do most of my shopping via Amazon, and have had Prime for years for the various other perks, the game discount thing is just a bonus. Not a huge deal, I can just buy from Amazon. Thanks!

I have never heard of anyone having success when attempting this. The Amazon page usually specifies that the 20% off price is Prime-only.

Best Buy will not price match membership related prices. People pay Amazon $100 a year to get that price. You're not paying Best Buy anything extra. Chances of this happening is slim to none, maybe if it was a brand new manager or employee but yeah.
