Will Costco carry PS3 or Wii on Launch Days?

CAGiversary!
Hey Gang,

If you are a Costco employee, would you be able to keep this thread up to date regarding the availability of either machine? I got my 360 on launch day there. I would be surprised if they werent available this time around.

Thanks!

Wrong forum.

But to answer your question, I don't think that anyone knows for sure what the distribution numbers will be until we get closer to launch date. Even the retailers that have taken pre-orders, do not definitively know.

I am less concerned about Wii availabilty at Costco, as I see it as a given. I am more interested in what the Costco bundle will be. If any Costco employee knows(I'm looking in your direction, Diiz), PLEASE share!

As of last week there was nothing in our system for the Wii at all besides Tony Hawk. If I can find out any info on it, CAG will be the first to know.

There are other games for both systems, however they haven't been set up beyond just their names so we don't know their prices.

As it stands, there are currently numbers that I suspect to be the bundles; however there is no info there other than the fact that "it's not set up".

As well, again, I doubt the that we'll have either console on launch day as by this same time last year, I was able to tell everyone what was in the Costco bundle for the 360; but this year, there's nothing really for the new systems.

Edit: I did just gain the sheet that gives all the numbers for all stores, so when the bundles do get put into the systems, I can start telling people how many their specific Costco will get.

I work at a costco in washington and when I checked the system today, there were tons of new games posted and the system bundle was in there for 339.99 and in the description it said it came with two games. Unfortunately thats all it said which left me drooling for more. For the 360 launch, my store had the most consoles in the area, that includes like best buy and all those other big name stores, so you can bet costco's around the country will be packing wii's and ps3's on launch day. No midnight launch tho, at least not at any up here, so you'll have to wait until 9:30 when they open.
I'll keep you guys posted as I hear things

I'm currently leaning towards Costco as my campout location. I've got two questions:

Is Costco the most convenient place to get a ps3/wii?
If I bring a friend but only have one card, am I limited to a single system?

Also any numbers for the Chicago area would be greatly appreciated.

It all depends on the site. You have to go in and talk to the warehouse managers or the major's managers to know for sure. Each store will have their way of doing things. Like I heard really horrible things about the everett warehouse (they just let everyone rush in and grab as many 360's as they could). Others are a lot more organized and might only allow 1 system per card, even if you have more than one person waiting in line. I would say this is the most likely outcome but you just have to ask.

That's horrible??
I would've loved to see this, the stupid geeks who wait for hours outside get ran over by the stronger people who have to actually work for a living and couldn't stand outside for 10 hours because they were WORKING, I wish more places ran things this way...

When I went to the 360 launch, only one system was given to each membership. I don't think its fair to sell a system to someone who does not have a membership.
