Will Ferrell Collection : Roxbury, Blades, Old School on Blu-ray - $13.32

I ordered, $1.97 shipping for the slowest rate. I only own Old School on DVD, figure I can retire that copy. Not a bad price for 3 movies.
Hopefully, it's a three-disc set like previous ones like that have been, so it's not all jammed on a single disc.
has a single disc BD with 3 movies even been released yet? IDK, I guess we're playing russian roulette at this point. The image (and I know we can't go by images) certainly sets it up like it could be one disc. Like how when 4-film DVDs started popping up. Who would have thought we could ever have 4 movies on a DVD back in their prime??

Runtime shows as 262 minutes, so that's a lot to jam onto a single disc. From the packaging, which looks like the other types of sets they've done previously at Best Buy, it's three single movies with a slipcover over all three cases.

I haven't seen The Town, but are you sure that those two cuts aren't via seamless branching? It seems kinda silly to have two full versions of a movie (that aren't ridiculously different) on a disc when BD can be absolutely seamless.

And I'm not so sure that this is an actual Blu-ray release either... it definitely looks like a DVD case in the pic. That and Roxbury hasn't been released on Blu-ray yet... not that it isn't possible to have this set be its exclusive home.

The pic clearly shows DVD logo on it, but who knows might be a price glitch either way I'm in for one, worst case they cancel it and i call and complain ...prob get a gift card like the whle iron man 2 debacile

I didn't know i had $25 Walmart GC. IF i don't like it I just stop by my local walmart on my way home from the GYM & return it.

Not too bad if it sticks. I didn't have Roxbury, and it's worth it to upgrade Old School on top of that I guess.
Meh, Old School is the only one I think is semi-funny.

Wish it was Anchorman / Step Brothers / Old School.
Haha, I am the complete opposite. I really enjoy Blades of Glory and LOVE Night at the Roxbury. I can not stand Old School though. If Anchorman was switched in for Old School, I would be all over this deal.

i was about to buy this until i heard that roxy isn't out on blu ray... chances are this is a mis-titled collection. I'll wait for you guys who did purchase to confirm if it's blu

FWIW the Anchorman set is one of the best blu-rays I own as far as cool and jam-packed. Comes with a "Ron burgundy" journal, trading cards, and a 2-disc set with both Anchorman cuts and wake up, Ron burgundy and chock full of features.

Just a heads up, it's definitely worth the price, if it were on this set it'd be barebones most likely.

I still have Anchorman, Blades, and Old School on :hd: and pretty much everything else on :br: except Step Brothers. That movie was unforgivable.

Step Brothers was amazing! I hope you don't think Semi-Pro was better. That, to me, was the worst Will Ferrell comedy in existence.

EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY!!

Step Bros was just lots of cussing and awkwardness.

edit: Forgot Stranger Than Fiction too, that movie wasn't even remotely funny.

That's one of the few Will Ferrell movies I like, so I guess that shows how different it is from his oeuvre and usual humor. I don't think it was supposed to be funny the way you might have expected.

I know what you mean... The quality was shite....

I love his movies, and this is one of my favorites. Im pretty sure if you were watching this for the comedy, you kinda missed the point.

That's like saying, "Punch Drunk Love" was Adam Sandler's least funny movie!... "Stranger than Fiction" isn't a comedy bro.

And "Step Brothers" is hilarious.

Well you did kind of take a risk in the first place. This deal was a huge long shot to begin with.
Just received shipment confirmation!
if thats true, im kinda sad because I just canceled on tuesday. Oh well these arent must have blus anyways

Night at the Roxbury is a favorite movie of mine and .. it hasn't even been announced for Blu Ray yet.. if you guys get this and it ends up actually being Night at the Roxbury on Blu Ray, please let me know..

I'm sure it'll just be the DVD version, though.

i think its walmart exclusive blu ray collection .Lately walmart (site to store) is doing very well and beating amazon as i can`t rack up $25 on every price drop .Now a days Walmart is new amazon for me .
Thank OP

I actually saw the set in question on the shelf at Wal-Mart last night. It is DVD not blu-ray. Unless there are two different sets which is a possibility.

Got confirmation plus i inquired`em to make sure "Night at Roxybury" is on blu ray or not as amazon doesn`t show it as bluray release. They assured it is exclusive walmart edition.

FML, got the DVD in the mail today. Packing slip makes no mention of blu ray or 'BD' so looks like we're stuck with it (well not really, but just sucks if you were really hoping for the BD)

So we're getting the DVDs even though my email receipt says blu-ray? Well, I'll certainly be taking it back to the store.

yeah, that was my thought exactly, thats why I read the packing slip twice,
Item: 0003242909394
Description: Will Ferrell 2011 Collection: A Night At the Roxbu

the real sad thing is when I was driving around earlier, I realized, after tax and S&H ($16.55), that it was the most expensive DVD I've bought since the launch of the PS3..fuck, I don't know, I might keep it, it looks pretty neat, not sure how many discs are inside, haven't opened it yet.
