I've been (gleefully) listening to Limbaugh today; I'm busy at work, so I'm not dedicating my full attention to it.

I can't help but swear I just overheard that he claimed Rumsfeld may step down today.

HUZZAH!

[quote name='Mike23']President Bush just made a terrible, terrible joke.

What was it? I was out getting a coffee.

Jokes aside, I concur.

Anyone have any info on Gates? I was in middle school when he was CIA chief, so I have no info on him.

I can totally see britney spears beating them for that this week, but yep Rummy is out...now the question is when does he leave.

If he puts Gates in line, fuck that shit.

Gates is my college's president. He talked up a big storm about how deregulating tuition (at the time it was being discussed) was a great thing for students, and how he was going to make sure it wouldn't spike much at all in the wake of such change.

The next day? Bam. 25% increase.

fuck you Gates.

Interesting. Is A&M part of the regents? Here, tuition is a cross-the-board issue for all state universities. I don't know how it works there.

All I know is that we got fucked royally.

Students protested - made little cardboard box villages out in prompinent areas on campus - and were invited to speak before various committees and boards, but in the end they kept coming back to say "We need money, so piss off."

It didn't help that, at the time, the money was being wasted in obscene ways. For example, the online transportation regulating group got renamed from Parking and Transportation Services to, simply, Transportation Services. Changing all the signs and business cards and what not was $2 million.

I imagine it's entirely left to the campus's discretion. I know when it happened it even appeared on various news sites. Fark.com even had a front page submission with an "asinine" tag if memory serves.

If only such "deregulation experiments" were made more prominent...

That aside, while a shitty shitty thing to do, it's unrelated to the role and responsibilities of the Secretary of Defense. He was head of the CIA during Desert Storm, so he could provide useful.

Then again, depending on the hand he has in determining military contracts, he could prove dismal for the already outrageous cost of the war.

Did he call the US troops stupid?!?!

Six fucking years too late.

And Strell the guy sounds like he fits perfectly into the governments wasteful ways.

And Rummy leaves when the new guy is sworn in, that might take two years.

He made a remark about how his first advice to Pelosi involved the colour of the drapes in her office. The room fell dead silent.

Or it could be a reference to how bad Rumsfeld's decorating prowess is.

Now the Germans want to bring charges against Rumsfeld for human rights abuses during the Iraq war. I'm a democrat but they should shut their fucking Nazi Auchwitz jew killing selves up. They are the last country that should pretend to care more about human rights than we do. Sieg-Heil fuckers.

A little on the strong side, but I agree. Yeah, he fucked up the war, but he didn't tell soldiers to kill civilians. Well, at least not innocent civilians.

You should learn to formulate an opinion less offensively if you would like for anyone to take you seriously.

Yea... You know pretty much everyone that had something to do with that is dead, right?
