Will we ever see Killer Instinct again?

If they do, it certainly would not be on the GameCube. Microsoft owns Rare and Rare owns the Killer Instinct franchise.

I think KI is the best fighting franchise of all time. I just had a blast with it. I liked the n64 version alot. I would love to see a new one we really need a new good fighting game because the last mortal kombat was just horrible.

it was ok. Very repetitive and after 2 weeks I could not even play it any more

VF is the best 3D fighter, but for sheer fun KI is up there.

KI on SNES was freaking awesome. I played that game for months and months and months. One of my favorite games of all time.

KI Gold on N64, on the other hand, is pretty horrible.

The snes ver. of KI1 was cool for its time, but now is damn near horrible. KI64...they tried too hard to not show the problems with cartriges (no video clips or sharp backgrounds).

KI2 in the arcades is why i still want a KI3...

why do people think KI2 is so much worse? They got rid of all the cheap characters, and the combos are much better as they link together in a more fluid fashion

KI looked cool. It was a nice tech demo in the arcades. 2 added interesting characters and playability. KI2=great

I agree. I can live without some of the extras that KI 2 had just to have the ability to play it at my house

My dad spent 75 bucks a piece on this and crusin USA when the 64 first came out (no mario until after christmas)

While I thought the game was very bad, I do believe we will see it again. The Xbox will take as many fighters as it can get.

Example=Kakuto Chojin, Tao-Feng

hmm...

In my mind, Killer Instinct, along with the likes of Primal Rage, was one of the first games to feature ridiculous combos, which destroyed the fighting genre (or at least, changed it from the way it used to be). Used to be, fighting games were more about strategy and game theory. Now its whoever can charge up and land the 33+ hit combo. Its certainly still a challenge, to pull off one of those combos, but you are fighting the timing, not your opponent. Course not all of the modern fighting games are like this.

with three hits in SFII I can take out over half of someones life. Combos have always been a part of fighting games.

Also there were Combo Breakers in the game to prevent this, but if you could not do them it was your own fault.
kill her, it stinks.
there are a lot of fighting games that are not nearly as good as KI though. At least admit that
