Yeah, I actually have more fun with Gravity Guy than Doodle Jump. However, the Achievements for beating 20 levels and all 30 levels without dying will be beyond most mortal men.

@EastX Just thought I should let you know you were right. I pulled the trigger on FCG at the last moment and have put about 4 hours into it in the last day or so, which is huge considering the last time I touched my phone for gaming was the IloMilo DLC.

I say stay away from Pocket God if you haven't already bought it. On my Samsung Focus it has horrible performance and is generally a terrible game. Specifically:

- the "boss" fights are extremely hard simply due to poor touch controls with the spear. I often grab something else or somehow drop it into the ocean.

-the collision is utterly broken. Many times spear throws or anything else don't connect properly. I've specifically seen the spear go through the Spider and Dinosaur many times.

- it's more a toy, which isn't in itself bad but it's extremely limited.

It's only 2 bucks so it's certainly not a ripoff but there have already been many better dotw, including Women's Murder Club!

I just realized I didn't buy Pocket God. Last week I said I'd buy it at the deal price and I'm sure that has come and gone. I guess that just shows how little I was actually interested in getting it.

I had a bit of trouble with the controls to start with, but it really isn't that bad when you get used to it. And for the boss fights, you have to hit like the center of their bodies, hitting certain places just will not count as a hit. I move the pygmy about halfway across the screen, and give him the spear, and I was able to get the Spider God achievement. Dinosaur is much tougher because of regenerating health, and the Ice Monster is very hard to hit consistently. But, what keeps me playing is the Doodle Jump minigame, which will tide me over until Doodle Jump itself is the DotW ;)

I checked this morning and it was still 1.99. may not be now? For 2 dollars i have enjoyed it. Looking forward to what this weeks DOTW. Usually it is up for purchase by now, so wonder why it has taken so long today?

Amazing thread... when Samsung Focus S is available with WP 7.5 on it, I will be getting my first smartphone!!!!! Then I won't feel like an idiot not being able to scan all those tags on everything nowadays! :applause:

It CAN scan all those tags right? They're not iPhone only are they?

Collapse! has the easiest Achievements of any Windows Phone game. You can get them all in less than an hour. It's also a really good puzzle game. If you like de puzzles and Achievements, buy it right away.

Tips:

Don't waste time in Quick Play mode. You can get them all in Adventure, and that way you're earning money while you go for them.

For the 40 Block Achievement, I got that towards the end of the first level or in the first part of the second level. It helps to have a little more time/blocks than the first few levels give you. And obviously, the strategy is to try to get as much of a single color on-screen as possible and let it get to the very top before you eliminate it.

Yeah, I played one round of Collapse and got 90 points :whee:

The Rocket Riot update for mango running at 60FPS sounds incredible.

If any of you remember, this was my biggest complaint about the games on WP7 compared to iOS. The 30FPS gave the games a "choppiness" compared to their iOS counterparts.

Hopefully everything gets updated fast, or at least the big names (PvZ, Doodle Jump, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja).

Yeah but how is that going to look on my Samsung Focus, I'm starting to worry that the Mango update is going to cause my phone to struggle performance wise. I further worry that we're not too far away from games that can't run on the "1st" gen WP7 phones.

It will definitely run great on your phone. Also, the next gen phones so far aren't a huge step up from last gen so you'll be fine :)

Sold! ;)

As for all this Mango talk, how is it going to roll out to current users? Will we just be able to update via Zune once it is out or can it update via wi-fi? Do we have to wait for our carrier to approve the update? If so, are those of us using Verizon going to be waiting weeks/months since they are the newest to the WP7 game?

Hell, I'd just be happy if they'd make it so I can play Rocket Riot offline and get achievements
Yes, WP7 phones can scan Microsoft tags. We'll look forward to having ya, Elektro!
Thanks, and I just read that Mango's Bing Vision is going to be able to read both QR tags and Microsoft tags! I can be sane again! Woot! You have no idea how aggravating it is, especially for my wife, to see these tags everywhere now and not be able to do anything with them.

Corona Review
IonBallEX review
More Brain Exercise updated, Achievement fixed
Beards & Beaks updated

I thought I had tried the demo for the hunting game. Seeing the pictures in EastX's review link, I'm thinking I didn't. Either way, I downloaded the trial this morning to give it another try. Also downloaded the trial for today's new game. Have to give that a shot as well.

I am on the fence with this one. I find littel enjoyment in the hunting games I have played on consoles, so.. If anyone can recommend OR the achievements are cake I would buy. I think I'll get implode however.

As I point out in the article, one Achievement is glitched in Deer Hunter (plus the turkeys one takes a lot of work), so it's definitely not a good buy for Achievements.

Enjoying Implode! so far. I love a good physics puzzler.

Bought it about an hour ago. So far I'm having a blast. The upgrade system is pretty cool, I already have 8 or 9 of the cheevos, and it's simple but addicting. To me, it's $3 well spent!

This is what I came to find out, thanks. Also, as soon as we get our game running on on WP7, I'll send you a build. It's a top priority for me right now.

Thanks for the force update post. It turns out I didn't need the trick as it said I had an update waiting anyways. This version does run way faster than my original build. It looks like they have spent a lot of time on the Vision and Talk to Text portion as well as there is a night and day difference between the way they work now and the old build.

I already own the Poker game. I think I'll also pick up Puzzle Quest 2. Not interested in the Logic Games.

Full House Poker is actually a lot of fun, especially if you have the XBLA version and can transfer money (but be warned that this feature is a little buggy).

I was waiting for a sale on Puzzle Quest 2. Looks like it's finally time to bite.

AWESOME! I was just posted on wpcentral yesterday that i was loving the xbox 360 sale this week and win7 should have a multi game/app dotw.
Also, i used the method to force the mango yesterday. LOVE mango. My wife is now super jealous over my phone and is ready to move from android.

BTW: i like full house poker, wish i could play live

Does Full House Poker get better, or are there difficulty levels? One slight raise will get opponents to fold 90%+ of the time. And if one of them raises back, you better get out of dodge because you know they have something amazing.
