There's really no way to re-download a delisted game you've purchased??? I just think that is totally shady!
definitely. I miss having Star Wars Cantina on my phone. Had to do a hard reset on my phone because one of the windows updates disabled my WiFi. :(

Any news if WP7 will have a promo like house party on the console? Also, any update on the EA games release dates?
Unfortunately, I don't think there will be a House Party-like promotion on Windows Phone. They could always end up surprising us, but they've never done a reward for WP7 purchases so far.

As for the EA thing, I believe their games will be exclusive to Nokia devices for 6 months or so. No idea when they'll start rolling out though.

My biggest concern is that this will start setting a precedent for digital content. I will probably still want access to my 150+ XBLA/PSN games in 5 or 10 years from now. The question is will I still have that access?

I worry about that, too. At least on the Xbox, you can back up your games to a flash drive (and then save them to your PC - so you don't have to have a stack of 16GB flash drives). I read somewhere that the ability to back up apps is going to be part of the NEXT version of WP. But who knows.
How do you transfer your gamesaves from the flash drive to your PC?
Just to clarify, you can back up them to the PC, but they're encrypted so you can't edit them or anything like that. You can only store them.

When you transfer or copy your saves/games/whatever to a flash drive, they're stored in a hidden folder on the drive. You can copy and paste that folder to your hard drive. That's your backup. And you can copy it back to the flash drive to put it back on your Xbox.
Please don't post links to that particular site here... They are the devil for a number of reasons (which I'd feel even if I didn't write for their competitor). Just say that they said it and that'll be good enough.

Anyway...

The Marketplace STILL hasn't updated

Must Have Games 2012 schedule and prices announced
Will do, but now I kind of want to know why they are the devil...

Trust me, I'm a WPCentral guy for the simple reason that the quality of the content on WPCentral is far superior. But I do sniff around those other sites during DotW time.
Tempted on Burn the Rope.
I tried the demo when it came out and wasn't impressed at all. But I tried it again yesterday after I found out it was DotW and liked it a lot more. The only reason I didn't like it the first time was because I didn't fully understand how to play, maintain multiple fires, etc.

I picked it up for $2, will check it out later tonight.

Zombies!! was updated or was I just damn lucky last night? I got the last achievement! :)

BTW can anyone tell me why I ALWAYS have at least 1 notification on the Games hub yet no new messages/invites etc.
Zombies!! was updated or was I just damn lucky last night? I got the last achievement! :)
Back in September... Glad ya got it. I still need to go back and try for it.

Hurt my arm so I haven't been able to write stories lately. Will hopefully be back in the swing of things in a few days.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit tomorrow.

Maybe DotW will be the first NFS on the marketplace, though that would probably hurt sales of Hot Pursuit.

Got Jet Car Stunts for $2, not sure how much I'll like it though. Is it just me, or is controlling while in the air extremely hard?
So how do I go about downloading the Bug Village update?
This update? Go to the game's Marketplace page on your phone. Then press back and go to the page again. The Update option should then appear at the bottom.

Danke!

Well it's updated, but in the "About" it is still the old version number. Same for you?

Yup, that's the case. They just didn't change the version number.

I think Jet Car Stunts is worth $2, but not a penny more. The actual stunt mode has been my favorite so far. Time Trial sucks butt.

I played the one map from trial and it's simply hold down the boost the entire race.

3rd week in a row with no advanced noticed of WP7 DotW. Hope it's something good tomorrow (personally hoping for Collapse or De Blob)

I believe the change in advance notice is due to Karl Stricker's position changing at Microsoft. He still tweets about gaming stuff, but not as much/

Bullet Asylum is now available.

My impressions of the game is that it's fun for a while but has very little long-term replay value. You can do great in Arcade and Survival mode just by sliding your finger or fingers left and right like crazy. I just don't get how to do well in Architect mode though. Waiting for somebody to come up with a good strategy for that mode's single Achievement.

Good to know. And I read your Bullet Asylum impressions on WP Central, specifically this quote:

"Game modes include the extremely easy Arcade, an endless Survival mode that has no Achievements for some reason, and the frustratingly hard Architect mode. Seriously, what were they thinking with Architect?"

I was interested in this game, but now I'm really hesitant about it. I've played way too many games where a good idea was squandered by poor difficulty curves (either too easy, or too hard, or sometimes both) and poorly implemented achievements that don't induce the player to try out the game's different modes. Sounds like all of that can be found in this one. Thanks, you probably saved me $3 and some disappointment.

In all fairness, somebody could conceivably still have a great time with Bullet Asylum even if he doesn't play Architect mode. The main mode is really Arcade and Architect only has one Achievement. But it does feel like the devs squandered the potential of the mode by not tuning the difficulty properly.

Let's hope the DOTW pops up soon...

A winner is you, looks like the DOTW is Collapse for $1.99

Well worth $2 IMHO, really good game and a very easy 200 achievement points if that's your bag.

Sweet! I have psychic powers! Haha

Definitely gonna get it. Thanks.

EDIT: I've been impressed with the WP7 DotWs of late. Content that hasn't been on sale before and is fairly recent. I know I'm only saving a dollar on most of these sales, but I find one new phone game a week is all I need. I should be finished with Collapse by the weekend then I'll be ready to pick up my new game next Wednesday.

Heard the Collapse 200 was easy, but wow. I guess they're better than extremely difficult achievements, but come on guys. At lease give me some incentive to play through your full game. (I probably will because I like the gameplay, but I don't like games that don't have a "Beat the Game" achievement).
Since one of my guesses last week was lucky, I'll guess Gravity Guy as DotW this week. *crosses fingers*
Thats pretty amazing, because I just saw on Facebook that Gravity Guy IS the DotW. Please guess Plants Vs Zombies for next week ;)

OH WOW! Definitely getting it as soon as the price drop takes place.

I'd love to see PvZ go on sale! But my official guess for next week has to be Fight Game: Rivals.

Gravity Guy is awesome. Already beat 1st part of the story mode, on to the 2nd part. Will probably replay to get to the top of my leaderboard too. Addicting game!
I do not like the Rescue Run one bit... Let us know how many slowdowns it takes you to complete it.
None for me. What's with the worthless microtransaction to buy them?
For the moment, EastX is only beating me on Endless mode.
Correction: I am beating everybody in Endless mode.

J/K

Ya, I'm getting worked on the leaderboards, hope to change that.

My friend IRL who has a Windows Phone must be good at this game, he's at the top of both my leaderboards.
