Is lets golf deal of the week? Or is it always 1.99?
I think it's $4.99 usually.

Shame I already have it, it's a decent game IMO.

That's the DotW. It's a very good game, but it has a broken achievement which sucks.

Also sucks that it's another repeat. Need some first time deals to pop up (I'm pretty sure we've only had 2 since Red Stripe Deal started). Come on Pac Man Kart Rally!

I haven't been able to try it in person because nobody at the AT&T store has ever heard of it, but it looks like a damn good phone. And it has an actual Home button, which has been severely overlooked on most of the other phones.

Still no trial for Rayman :\

Golf games have never been my cup of tea, but I tried the trial for Let's Golf. It has great presentation and polish, but I still don't see myself playing it much so I'm going to pass. Looks good for those that are into golf games though.

Slightly off-topic, but still WP related question. I see there was some controversy recently about a new, supposedly great Youtube app that MS built, and then pulled. Was that version WP8-only?

The most important game, imo, is dondonpachi for .99 cents! Great game.

Also Namco Bandai titles, pacman $2.99 and pacman ce dx is 4.99. Both decreased 2 dollars. I recommend dx ce.

final fantasy is also $4.99. I believe it was 6.99.

Thanks for the heads up on DoDonPachi. That's a no brainer for a buck. Will consider Final Fantasy, I'm interested to see if this is a sale or price drop.

Pac Man for $3 is tempting, but really it should be $0.99. Wish Pac Man Kart Rally made the cut in the Namco sale.

no prob! everyone should buy dondon for that price. I suck at the game, but still great title.

I am debating on ff, but I really would have liked pacman kart too

Thanks for figuring out my typo, I didn't notice it til you quoted my post.

Paul is contacting SquareEnix about FF. If it is in fact a sale price, I'll probably buy it. It works on WP8, right?

Actually, Dodonpachi does not work on WP8 AFAIK.

I believe it was WP8 only, yes. Folks at the office think Metrotube is better though, so just get that if you missed it.

Definitely can't pass on Dodonpachi for that much! I just bought DDP Resurrection on 360, so this will be fun too! Just need to find room on my Focus.

Nope. No Dodon on wp8. Would of bought it too. :(
I actually meant, does Final Fantasy work on WP8?
Yes it does. At least it's available in the store. Don't own it personally.

yes ff works on wp8. It is a bummer dondonpachi is not on wp8. I hope the work on that.

metrotube is a fantastic YouTube app, btw.da best!

Woohoo I beat the first level of Dodonpachi! This game is going to be hell, I won't be getting many achievements in it. It's a lot of fun though.

Well my Android phone crapped out, so I ordered a Win8 phone. I ordered the cheap Nokia 521 since I pretty much only use my cell phone for.....wait for it.....making phone calls. I guess I'll be grabbing some of the freebie games initially to test it out. t's a nice way to get a few more cheevos. :) Any recommendations on other games to get. I generally dislike playing games on tiny phone screens, but some games play better than others even shrunk down.

No, I'm not getting Sally's Salon eastx ;)

Sally's Salon isn't too bad.

Since you got a cheaper Windows phone, my guess is probably it only has 512 MB of RAM, so there are a lot of games that won't run on your phone. Just a suggestion to keep that in mind so you don't end up spending money on games that won't run on your phone.

I'm still on WP7 so I don't really know more details than that. But make sure to research games before you buy them if they are newly released, WP8 games.

Man, much of my love for CAG is on hold. This white vomit is hurting my eyes too much, to say nothing of the unpleasant layout.

However, here are some fine articles you shouldn't miss:

Paul, not to ask too much but I brought this up earlier (sorry to be a pest). Any idea as to the status of Hydro Thunder Go on WP8? It's unplayable in it's current form and my efforts to contact anyone has fallen on deaf ears :(
Remind me what it's doing again?

Bullet Asylum: $0.99

IM + Pro: $0.99

Chicken Invaders 3: $0.99
Bullet Asylum isn't bad. Nice art style (if you like Geometry Wars) and easy achievements. Though once you figure out the trick (just swipe constantly like a madman) there really isn't much challenge to it. Pretty sure I bought it on sale at $1.99, so $0.99 seems right.

It crashes continuously on Windows Phone 8 - to the point it's actually impossible to play and should be removed from the marketplace. Check out many of the recent reviews for the game through the marketplace.

btw, man, what a week to be a Windows Phone owner (or month)...it's been awesome!

Man, I was loving Jetpack Joyride. Played through all the missions twice. Now on my third playthrough I'm having a ton of issues with the game crashing. Lots of times it won't even start because of the crashes. Anyone else had any issues?

That is rather strange. I haven't had any issues with the game and I've played it a ton (far too much as a matter of fact). I have never really had to reboot my phone but have you given that a shot yet? Or checked your background tasks just in case too much is going on?

I finally got it up and running again. I think it was an issue when connecting to Xbox live. I actually managed to get it started then had something really strange happen. As soon as I finished a level all of my progress was reset back to the beginning. I was freaking out! But exiting the game and restarting fixed it. It would appear that your in game progress relies on having an active connection. Not sure why my connection was bad but I'm hoping it was a temporary issue.

Civilization Revolution is the Red Stripe Deal at $0.99. Great game. I paid full price and it was worth every penny.

Also, anyone try NOVA 3 yet? I just can't seem to get the look sensitivity dialed in correctly. Overall I like the way the controls work a little better than MC4, but it doesn't seem as responsive. I'm not sold on either as a touch screen shooter. I actually think Mass Effect has the best controls for a shooter. Probably works best because it has cover based gameplay.

Another repeat deal, blech!  I think I bought Civ Rev for $2 and never booted it up, so I guess I should have waited.

Alternatively, I was just a few seconds away from beating Dodonpachi 5A without dying, but I got hit at the last second.  That sucked.  Still, it's the first schmup I've ever really beat, so that is cool.  Very fun game, controls perfectly on a touch screen.

Had a question if i bought a game then delete because im running low on storage then now it says i need to repurchase it will Microsoft Refund me back my money? or am i assed out because i deleted it and now need to re purchase it

Definitely contact Windows Phone MS Support before repurchasing it.  Make sure they'll credit you the refund before you actually rebuy it.

Paul had mentioned to me that he had a similar problem with a few games, which is actually bullshit.  Anything you ever buy digitally should be permanently tied to your account.  This goes for delisted games as well which we're already getting "assed out" on.

Yeah that sucks like I deleted toy soldiers boot camp just to free up space on my phone and now it's telling me rebuy it on my phone but if I go on the windows phone website it says I already bought it I even max it out with achievements I just wanted to play it again but not if it's gonna charge me 99cents again..

Edit: well even though when it said either "try" or "Buy" when i click buy it said i already bought it and that i can redownload it guess i was just too scared to click buy without knowing that it wouldn't charge me and a other good thing i got mirror edge a while back when it was free and it let me redownload that too...

Ok guys, I'm going to go a bit off topic here but I could really use some help.  I may have screwed myself.  Today I was messing around with getting my work email set up on my phone for the first time.  I got the exchange server set up fine and was able to check my email all day with no problems.  Then tonight after I got home I go to unlock my phone and it asks me for a password.  I have never had a password in the past.  After doing a bit of research I now know that certain requirements can be imposed on devices using an exchange account by the network admin, such as requiring a password when unlocking the device after a certain period of inactivity.  But since I never set up any password I have no idea what the device is wanting me to input.  Thus my phone is permanently locked.  Is there any way out of this besides a factory reset?  I really don't want to lose all my game progress.

Picked up Civ Rev. I already played it to death on the DS, so I'm not sure how much I'll play it again. It's a buck so no big deal.

I've never heard of this before but it appears as though you are correct that it is your exchange admin settings - as read here:

Looks like you'll have to contact your IT dept to get the secrete phrase or password.

That's scary. Thanks for the heads up, I'll be getting a WP8 fairly soon and definitely have to tie it to my work email. I'll keep my eyes open to see if this issue happens to me as well. I never use passwords normally.

Well the problem with that is the exchange settings don't actually pass a code to the device. Just the requirements to use one. At least that's my understanding. So it would seem that I skipped the step of ever actually creating a password but my phone is asking for it anyway. A major flaw if you ask me. I've searched online to see if there is any type of default password if you never set one up but haven't come up with anything. It would appear I'm SOL. I'm going to do some more looking but based on the websites I've found it appears if you can't come up with the correct lock screen password the only way to get the device working again is a factory reset. Sad day.

Thanks for the heads up on Civ Rev. I have been hoping that game would go on sale eventually.

Also, I have a question. My Nokia Lumia 920 recently formed a vertical line of dead pixels down the phone's screen. Is this something that can be fixed, or do I need to return it? Also, is this a common problem, and if I need to exchange it, will I lose all of my app information?

Thanks in advance.
