Woman who 'sold' 13-year-old's virginity escapes jail

Seriously? If anything, the punishment would have been harsher for a man. It sounds like the judge took pity on her for her past.
 
Yeah. I was going to say the same thing when he first posted this but I decided that everyone will be saying the same thing, and so, I left it alone. But, really, is he writing this from the insane asylum to think a man wouldn't have gotten a harsher punishment?
 
Well, I wondered if it was sarcasm but it just wasn't poignant enough. I mean, only because this type of thing is expected. Women getting lighter sentences for sex crimes, etc..

Recently here there was a news story about some classmates forwarding a video around of two kids having sex. The girl admitted she knew the video was being taken. But she's not being charged with child porn while the boy is. Also, despite them being both 16, they are discussing charges of statutory rape against the boy.
