Woo I just won a King Kong video game and a free Candy bar

I hope everyone in the know will agree with me on this.

There are clues in this thread on how to cheat. So, now go ahead and play to win a candy bar and then see if you can figure out the glitch . . . that way you've at least (in part) earned the game.

If you guess the URL wrong too many times, it locks you out.

Just won my second candy bar . . . I won one the very first try and thought they must be easy to win but just won only my second one.
 
What's weird is that I got the people standng there- not kong and I won the game.
i really hope I get it rather than someone who cheated.
maybe they will only send each e-mail adress one prize? and they'll automatically downgrade?

Nah, there's nothing stopping you from winning multiple prizes legitimately, so they wouldn't make that restriction.
 
You all can rest easy. I finally got a response back from Nestle:

Dear Mr. (my name)

Thank you for contacting Nestlé. We appreciate your bringing this to our attention.

While it is true that users can enter information into the prize confirmation page fields, the logic is such that they will not be entered into the database as a winner and will not receive any prize. Essentially they are wasting their time.

We appreciate your interest in our products and hope you'll visit our website often for latest information on Nestlé products and promotions.

That's interesting. So they're trying to say that just by going into the webpage doesn't mean you'll be entered as a winner? What is the difference between the real winners webpage and the fake webpage? NONE. I've legitimately won a candy bar, and then used that to get the others.

Hahaha... not that I am skeptical or anything...

Could easily be the case. As sloppy as the site is coded, all they need to do is generate a particular token when you win, and that enters you. If you just go to the URL, that token might not be generated. But it's a hell of a lot easier to just write your site well...

From reading the source code, it looks like the game just generates the link from the combined picture to the 'winners page' which then links to the website where you enter your information. There could be a hidden 'cookie' that it generates, but that'd be easy enough to recreate too if I felt like I wanted to.

I think that their site is a bit screwy and that most of the prizes won't be honored. Why? Because either their site is screwed up, or I have some incredible luck.

My brother and I each took our three turns in the game, and here's what we won:

Nestle Crunch Bar
King Kong Game
King Kong Poster
Movie Tickets


We actually won 1 of each prize! Odd thing, though... on 2 of those wins, we didn't get a matching picture. We got two correct pictures and then an incorrect one (I believe it was correct on the left and right, but the middle was the Crunch bar photo), yet the site claimed that we were winners. Although... it did say Instant Winner, so maybe that explains it.

Maybe it was just luck today. Well, prize or no prize, it's no biggie.
 
For anyone that has won these prizes, do they just mail them to you? I might have accidentally deleted the prize confirmation e-mails. I know that with the candy bars, it's just a message saying that your coupon will arrive in the mail.

Hope I didn't have to do anything special to confirm my prize. Oh, well...

I know some people reported getting a picture matched, and no prize. So I don't really know how they make this thing work.
 
Its been 6 weeks since Slide's OP, so you should expect to wait another couple weeks (6-8 weeks). If nothing then, probably not worth waiting for anymore.

It'd be kinda funny if the movie tickets I won at the beginning of December didn't get here while the movie was still in theaters though.

candy bar coupons says 4-6 weeks...
 
I just emailed them and got an EMAIL back. they gave me a phone number to call...

THEY just got all the prizes in for the company that had the prizes

called them back and this is what they told me.. if i forgot something tell me and i call them again

Posters within the next 3 to 4 weeks
Movie tickets within the next 2 to 4 weeks
Video game within the next 2 to 5 weeks

Hell by the time people get the movie tickets the movie will be off the shows ... they are trying to blame the company that is giving the prizes for the hold up.

WRONG that is why seems to be taking so long... they are going by hand i guess and was checking to make sure each winner REALLY WON...


Cause when i called them they asked

name
address
phone number
and winning code i got though email

if you didnt have those items then they will not give you the items

My Crunch bar winning email doesn't have a code.
