Indeed. 2005 was the 15th anniversary. I have the Collector's Edition sitting right here. I held onto it, because I like the emulations they gave of the past Madden eras. So, yeah, it would appear to be some fuzzy math going on here.

John Madden Football first appeared on Commodore 64 and Apple 2 (?) back in 1989, so it would be the 19th year anniversary--20 is an acceptable fuzzy.
Madden 2009? Man, I'm still all about QB Club on the N64, now that is football!
Are you joking or serious? It's an honest question, as I recently got an N64 (well, me and my kids :)) for Christmas to play some old(er) school games, and N64 QB Club can probably be had really cheap (all the sports games). Should I pick it up?
why not? easy achievements with the falcons on rookie and 10 minute quarters
What is this achievements stuff? Why should I care that you've achieved the loss of $3?
If more of the cynics actually played the game they would notice the obvious changes, but I guess it's just easier to follow the bandwagon and say "EA sux lol" than having an informed opinion.

Thanks for the heads up OP.
hopefully 09 will be better than 08 in that the game is more even, 08 played great, but way too many interceptions

im considering getting it, but i havent heard enough to take advantage yet(even though gamestop will charge you when it ships, not now)

also, deep coverage needs to be worked on, and hopefully stats will be updated and downloadable roster updates to apply in any aspect of your game(offline), that is if they didnt do that in 08

QB Club was awesome..but, i'm a sucker for the old sports games. They used to be so much fun, i don't know what happened to today's sports game.

isn't maddne 09 the last year Ea has the NFL contract? That would mean that theres a good chance this is Ea's last hurrah for their ever degrading product.

So... anybody want to take a bold guess to claim that Adrian Peterson will be on the cover this year?

Well, if I remember correctly, the deal was inked in December of '04, so it won't expire until 2009. Also, I seriously doubt Madden will just disappear if and when NFL 2K returns. Now, personally, I am looking forward to when that baseball 3rd party exclusivity deal is up. I miss MVP MLB!
