Rushmore is in my top 5 movies of all time! How could you!!!????

Austin Powers in Goldmember

There may be worse movies out there, but since I try generally try to avoid bad movies, this is easily the worst movie I've ever seen. It had one small, short (maybe 10 second) joke that made me smile. The rest of it was absolute shit. Please, avoid at all costs. If you ever find yourself thinking of seeing this, just watch the first Austin Powers again. You'll thank me.

awe...come on, any movie where there's 'titties' or bikes isn't bad. and my gf makes me watch enough 'romantic comedies' with her to last me a lifetime. yes, i had to sit through 'notebook'

Pretty easily actually. It was the first movie I thought of when I saw this thread.

The Whole Ten Yards was awesome and Super Mario Brothers should have won an award! I'm still upset they didn't make a sequel. Peach busts in all freaked with a big gun and you're all like wtf? Marios all like wtf? Luigi is all like dayum shes hot... er wtf!?

Heheh... I didn't think Street Fighter was horrible either. I took it for what its worth. A cheesy fighting movie based off of a successful video game. For gods sake, IT HAS JEAN CLAUDE! How do you not forsee it not being mediocre at best?

On that note, barring Resident Evil 1, have you seen a video game movie that wasn't really sub par?

A lot of the movies I see listed are more movies that were disapointments. Movies that either didnt live up to the hype/prequels, but on their own weren't that bad.

Hyped/disapointing movies.

Mortal Kombat Annihilation - Not as good as the first, while granted, the first wasn't that great, it didn't really need to be. Look at the source material. The plot of the game was a paragraph long. X guy kills Y guy to save two dimentions. I think they did very good with what they were given. They made a good looking fight movie with pretty good special effects and passable acting. By no means was it Academy Award material, but they they weren't honestly trying like M. Night's crap fests.

Signs- OK... they come to a planet where 75% of its surface is their weakness, not the smartest aliens, but they did a good job creating tension by never showing the baddies until the end. Additionally, Mel Gibson always gives a great performance.

Austin Powers - While not as funny or original as the first, in its own right its hysterical. The shadow jokes had me almost pissing myself.

Kung Pow - Another nutter of a movie. The lame dialog and dubbing was an intentional satirical take on the old 70's kung fu movies. Liking those, I found this movie quasi brilliant.

BAD movies.

The Village - Haven't seen it, but I did see the Sixth Sense. No matter how lame this movie was, I can believe it because the 6th Sense was a snore fest for me. Who didn't see the end coming? I knew it 15 minutes in.

House of the Dead - EVERYTHING... in its entirety, its shit. The directing, the acting, the writing, the plot, the special effects, the camera work. I'm so traumatized, I may never be able to play House of the Dead 2 again! This movie is bad because it was trying to be good. Like nuclear waste, anything directed by Ule 'Bowel' is not safe for human contact and should be sealed in a oil dum and burried in a mountain.

Alone in the Dark- Honestly, they let him make another movie? How many series is he going to shit on? See last comment!

Death to Smoochy - .... bad.... just... bad. Robin Williams as an ill tempered, foul-mouthed, raving psycotic. Not only can he not play the part, it hurts to see him try. Maybe I hated it because I was expecting Robin Willaims to actually be funny. I counted every time I laughed. 5 times... FIVE. I laugh at just about anything. The jokes in this movie made me ball up into the fetal possition and cry. Finally, the alternate ending is much better than the dog turd they stapled to the end.

ANYTHING with Steven Segal- Anyone see the Mad TV show where they were making fun of him? They had Will Sasso (~350lbs) with a greasy pony tail and a ham sandwhich. I'd rather actually see him doing the movies because he's intentionally trying to be funny. Hes not a middle-aged, over-weight karate hack trying to make a name for himself. Hes a middle-aged, morbidly obese person punching people with a club on rye.... fucking hysterical!
The Village was f'n stupid.
Thank you , i forgot that one, never watching an M. Night Shamalamadingdong movie again.

The Butterfly Effect - The Director's Cut
The "special" ending turned what was a mildly entertaining movie into a laughingstock. I saw this before I saw the original ending.

White Chicks was pretty piss poor

There are a LOT of bad movies I've seen.

HOTD was actually amusing to me....I think I watched it twice
Hope Floats.

The tagline to that movie should have been "...and so do turds."
The other day I had a poop where about 50% of it floated and the rest didn't. very odd.

First off, I'd like to say that Napoleon Dynamite gets crapped on because people don't "get it". People expect to see something, in a movie based on nothing. If you expected nothing, then it turned out to be a great movie.

Second, Death to Smoochy is also a great movie. The all-star cast, dark comedy, and all the artistry that went into it made it movie gold. Although the ending might seem a bit weak, the rest of the movie MORE than makes up for it.

Third, Reel Comedy, on Comedy Central, did a episode on Austin Powers: Goldmember. In it, Mike Myers made a small apperance to answer some questions. He explained why the movie would include many stupid and recycled jokes. As opposed to completly going in a different direction for the last movie, they wanted to end the series in the same fashion. Not a very good excuse, but still slightly plausible.

Oh ya, and Envy was horrible.

I didn't even know what the movie was remotely about. I didn't even see previews. I watched the movie expecting nothing... and even then I feel short changed.
