265 bucks after gift card... just looking for a good name 32 inch (maybe 36 inch) tv and doubt i will find one even Black friday at these prices (maybe 250 doubtful 200)

could always buy it .. keep it sealed wait till thanksgiving and return it with the gift card if a cheaper price was found but i think 265 is a good price for a 32 inch good name brand

I'm kinda in the market for a 32 inch tv. Don't really care about the quality but I keep seeing +- $200 deals lately and I'm really tempted, but to answer your question, I would wait. If TV prices are dropping already, I expect them to drop even lower Black Friday. On the other hand, if you don't care about the hassel of a return and you have the cash, then might as well pick one up and keep your eye out.

FYI: Amazon is selling the "Haier L32D1120 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black" for $197. Never heard of the brand myself but I hear its supposed to be good. It's been in my cart all day and I'm coming so close to pulling the trigger.

Speaking from someone who just bought a 32 inch Panasonic set for $299 (sale price)

I think it largely depends on if you are willing to take one of the TV's offered on BF. Usually the cheapest TV's offered on BF are of lower quality and may not have all the features of the more expensive sets. Some may be different models, which again have lower quality parts than what is used in the regular models.

Also support for BF TV's is usually non existent as they usually just make enough of them for the stores to have on BF then you never see that model again in stores. It may be difficult to get a BF TV repaired in the future.

If your TV that you bought as a BF doorbuster is broken in the box or broken as soon as you get home the best a store can probably do is a refund, there will be no replacement TV for you to get, then you will be stuck looking for another one. This is something I considered when buying a TV, will the store have a replacement if mine turns out to be broken as soon as I get it home? Its really frustrating to have something big like a TV not work out of the box.

There is also the issue of catching a doorbuster, you may have to camp out for days to get that doorbuster item.

If you are set on one specific TV (like I was) then I would say just get it now.

Also if you have room to store a TV to wait it out or if you can last the few weeks without one (aka you don't have a broken set that needs replacing immediately or you will have nothing). Storage was a problem for me as I had to buy a new TV stand along with a new TV. Putting everything together on one day would be a nightmare so I bought the stand first and managed to store it while it was put together, then I brought in the TV. Its much easier if you do it this way. But putting it all together on one day might be ok for someone else.

I really did not want to end up with a "made for walmart' quality of TV. This is something I only buy once every 15 years or so (or at least I can hope it will last that long) so it has to be good when I do decide to break down and buy it.

Wait both Walmart and Target are going to have 32" on Black Friday just under $200.

32" and smaller LCDs have been going on sale a lot recently.. I'd be willing to bet that there will be quite a few on BF.

I'm in the same boat, I really need a new TV between 36-46inch 1080p for under $375 or so.

BBY has a Dynex 32" 720p for $229

Bad thing is a bad junk model called Westinghouse and emerson.. walmart here already have them on the floor at 223 and said they will be 198 BF

i think 265 is a good price for a toshiba

I'd wait. I got my 32" Emerson for less than $200 at last year's Black Friday sale at Wal-Mart.

@Slidecage Really? I've had zero qualms with my TV, and it's been almost a year since I bought it.

Just get the tv now. If a better TV show up on BF then return it. I would also pay the extra money for a better brand

r u using it as a Living room (main tv) or bedroom (2nd tv)

Also what about the $25 gift card?

I like Toshiba stuff and have had good luck over the past few years with their electronics.

I just picked up a 32" sony 720 at Walmart for 299 clearance. I have 90 days on that and will be shopping around as well.

Hair is very popular cheap Air Conditioner and they have been doing well there over the years... I dont recall seeing them make TV's until recently, but I was not paying attention either.

My personally I would rather spend 50 more and get a real brand name.

The westinghouse is also having issues with being set to standard and having to manually strestch it at each power on.

I am in the market for 32" and would prefer a 1080P but so far have settled for a 720P.

I think the prices will get lower, but close to Black Friday and not necessarily on Black Friday. Those deals, as mentioned, are eithr very limited or a super budget TV marked down.
