Sorry if this is a stupid thing to ask for... but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask, anyway.

Is there anyone out there who isn't planning on registering for Club Nintendo anytime soon, but happens to have a couple of Nintendo-published games kicking around with unused PINs that they would be willing to share with me? :)

To get Platinum status, you need to earn 600 points by June 30th. If you do, you get a sweet gift from Nintendo. Right now i have 470, so I only need a few more games (Wii games give 50 points, DS games give 30)... I don't really have anything to offer in return, other than a Mario Galaxy PIN (I ended up with 2 copies), or I suppose I could paypal you a few dollars or something?

Here are the games I already have registered:

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Wii Play
Mario Party 8
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Mario Kart

(plus VC/WiiWare games, if you're thinking that doesn't add up)

There's a partial (pre-2009) list of applicable games under Product Registration here: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/club/en/faq.jsp

Anyway, let me know! And if you are kind enough to donate a PIN, you should probably PM it rather than post it here... :)

Thanks!
I think I'm good now, thanks!

PM sent.
Just because your from Halifax :)
I spent my Honeymoon there, it's a beautiful city. My cousins just retired from running a Chip Truck near the Library downtown.

Haha, that's awesome, thank you so much! :) The first code worked for me, just so you know.

Where did you stay for your honeymoon (if you don't mind me asking)? I just recently got married, and my wife and I stayed at the Inn on the Lake (which is actually in Fall River... not too far) for a couple nights, it was really nice.

I've seen Bud the Spud but I've never actually had fries there! I don't live right in the city, so I don't spend too much time downtown... I guess I've missed my chance, now. :O

Thanks again!

We didn't stay anywhere special but the Holiday in Harbourview across the bridge. Great view and the food in the restaurant was nice. It was my first time out east, I enjoyed everything. My cousin and his wife gave us the tour up to Peggy's Cove and around the area. After Halifax we went to PEI to stay at a BB, then for fun drove out to Niagara Falls.

Congratulations on recently getting Married.
Oh and should I go over 600 or save the two post game surveys leftover for next point year.
No reason to go over, but I do believe the surveys expire if you don't take them soon enough. Just make sure this doesn't happen before the end of the point year and don't forget to do the survey afterward.
I'm still trying to decide if I should wait till after the years up to reg my DSI.
I think you should wait. You dont gain anything from going over in points and its not like the DSI is selling like hotcakes... you should be able to register it after this "year" in points accumulation is over.

@Princess Zelda

Thanks! Sounds like a nice honeymoon... I haven't been to Peggy's Cove in a long time... Should make that a summer destination this year...

@ Lockescythe

WillGabriel and thelaughingman are right. As far as I understand, on July 1st, your points will be reset back to zero. Well, you can still spend them on stuff in the store, but they'll be reset as far as your platinum status goes. I guess you get 160 points for the DSi? You'll be in good shape starting off next year :)

man, im only 90 short of platinum myself. i "acquired" quite a lot of codes from buying ds games and wii games (that i leave at my aunts so the kids can play). I really do want to know what the platinum gift will be since nintendo bonuses can be insanely good (aka like subscribing to nintendo power to get a free game).

if you wanna take a guess at what it is, just check out japan's club nintendo prizes.
(im really hoping it's going to be the super nes controller attachment to wiimote for VC games)

the way it works is that you register your club nintendo account w/ur wii in order to take the post-play survey. so it's not as easy as the ones that come as game inserts

Thanks halcyon, but yeah... I don't really think there's any way to transfer that... And I actually have World of Goo already, too. Awesome game :)

I was thinking of picking up Link's Crossbow Training... It still gives you 50 points (or 60, if the survey comes back in time) even though it's only $20, right?

as a game though, is it worth it?

Edit: Woot, i didnt realise all the post play surveys i had lined up for me. Because of them, i now have Platinum status :)

Here's hoping that the platinum gift is as epic as the stuff japan has been getting.

Good stuff, I hope so too. :)

I'm not sure, my friend has it and he says it's a lot of fun. It's short though, I guess. Of course, you get the zapper with it, too...

Just wanted to update and say that I should be good now... Thanks again, Zelda! I went out and picked up Link's Crossbow Training, and the New Play Control Donkey Kong. Both are pretty fun. :) As long as my other post-play surveys come back in time, I should be able to just hit 600... If not, I guess I'll have to go buy Punch-Out at the last minute or something.

Link's Crossbow Training IS pretty short. Doesn't take any more than an hour to beat it the first time through, and I've already got 5 out of 9 platinum medals. Still a decent game, for $20 with a zapper. :)

For some reason, Donkey Kong seems to have given me 60 points just for registering... Plus I guess I'll get 10 for the survey. Weird!
