I would agree on many cases... sure girls and guys can be friends.. but to be good friends with a girl... for me must have had some attraction along with it. Yeah, I have friends that are girls I would never do anything with, but most girls I have hooked up with, I was friends with first.

I mean... don't you watch friends !!!! (jk)

i'd kill my best friend, but yeah shes a girl and i dont want any from her, i dont make friends with girls i'd fuck, i rather just fuck and be like look over there and then run....

While the movie death is more poetic, the way it plays out in the book is a lot more powerful, and it also give a taste for Mitsuko's coldness.

guys and girls can definately be best friends/close friends, and if anyone cares to disagree with that I'd venture to guess their hormones haven't finished cooling down or they just haven't had enough life experiences yet. Besides, if I were attracted to my best friend, does it make them any less my best friend? There's a question for ya. ;)

If this were a female friend I guess I'd rather die, because my female bf's are married and stuff. None of my male friends would let me die over them, so I guess I'd rather live then have to sneakily commit suicide and force them to live forever in regret. If I were single at the time of decision though, there'd most likely be some sex involved first. two birds with one stone, it's a good memory to die with, and I admire some of my male friends enough to get knocked up with their child before they die. :lol: Perhaps that's too morbid...or romantic...?
 
I'd let myself die. Life isn't all that thrilling and thought of having killed my best friend wouldn't help. Anyway, I get to sleep forever/go to heaven/be reincarnated or whatever it is that happens when I die, so it's a win/win situation.
