Just bought one of these for pick-up tomorrow.

Received 4 positive reviews (one person wrote they bought a second one after buying the first for 4x this a couple years ago)

I built this slowly in about an hour. Very solid and would recommend.

Looks good. In stock a few miles away from me as well. Highly contemplating this. Also highly contemplating completely getting rid of my dvd collection on CL or something.

Just put mine together... and damn is this thing huge! It needs a 27 in radius to spin so it needs a lot of room. But it's nice to have so much available space now.:)

man, i ordered online and got the second email confirmation, but when i went into the store, they didn't have any. so i walked out with only a $10 GC for my trouble :(:(

Called to confirm they had stock with the upc, showed up and they had a hard time finding it. After a couple minutes searching and a %10 off coupon I walked out with one for $58 after tax.

You're in the Dallas area right? What stores have you tried? I have an order that says it's ready for pickup in Irving but i don't want to drive out there and find out they don't have it.

oh i only tried plano. i tried some more zip codes last night and found the item in stock at irving and grapevine--but it wouldn't let me order from irving. must be because it's being held for you. i've got it "confirmed" at grapevine now, so i'll go check tomorrow to see whether i get the dvd stand or another $10 gc

I bought mine for pickup in Denton, TX and then I got the email saying that it was out of stock. I called customer service 3 times to get the item shipped to me (the first 2 reps told me the item could not be shipped to my house for some strange reason). Its a long story but the third rep told me that the item is so heavy that Magnolia has to come to drop it off. She said that the USPS will not deliver it because it is too heavy.

I am supposed to get this delivered on 3/24...
did you have to pay the $60 for shipping or whatever?
I got free shipping for all the pain that I went through...:)

well I went to the Madison West side... they checked stock... said they have 1 available.... eep!

so the guy runs back... spends about 10 minutes... comes back empty... and I was like damn...

But... he checked.... was able to find one in Lacrosse that had 3!!!! and they put in a Customer Fulfillment order with the sale price, because their system wasn't showing the 15% off and sale... coming up 85... booooo... so he marked it down to the price of 59.99.....

Shipping to my house... Free!

I should have it by Friday.

Thing weighs a ton and it's huge.....

In the mean time... bought Sims Expansion for 25, + 10GC then rolled that over to buying Brawl for $40, and then the used my RZ card to get points. for everything...

But of course they totally complained when I whipped out the 10% off movers coupon and didn't want to give us the $10 GC.....

Anyways I hope to have it up Saturday night, have the perfect spot.

holds about 360... so should be enough for the wife's girly collection and my horror fest ... plus some room to grow on.

what's left is to buy some nice skinny black towers to finish it off if we need to in the future.

Just got 4 of these delivered on Friday. I am very happy with them....well designed and very sturdy. They do take up a good chunk of room, but they are also holding about 2000 discs/carts :) I had to pay the $60 shipping, but that was for all 4 combined, so I ended up paying slightly less than $80 apiece after ship + tax. If you shop around the net for similar items, you will find they are often twice as much (or more).
does this thing feel cheap when you spin it?
What the hell kind of a question is that? It spins... period.
What the hell kind of a question is that? It spins... period.
ok then, call me when it gets under 30 bucks....thanks night night.
What the hell kind of a question is that? It spins... period.
I think it was a valid question. Does it spin smoothly? Does it strain? Does it carry momentum or does it squeak to a halt? Of course, it's possible to guess all that just by looking at the price, and for $60 I couldn't complain much.

I had something smaller a few years back that looked similar and it squeaked when it spun and didn't spin smoothly.
That is my concern with this one.

If that's what you're worried about... then no, it doesn't do anything like that. The only thing that might bother you is that it doesn't spin very easily due to it's weight. But all I mean by that is that it has very little spinning momentum.

I have one loaded up to full capacity, it doesn't squeak and spins pretty smoothly, the only reason why I couldn't just use one arm and just let er rip is because it's own weight is slowing the spinning down. It may only be 60 bucks but it isn't a cheap piece of crap.

I dont know.. might still be worth 85$ im going to go look at one tomarrow.. Are the selfs adjustable so i could say make a DS shelf.. a PSP shelf.. a blu-ray Shelf.. 360 and so on ?

These had gone up to $85 and then dropped down to $76 and now have disappeared all together. But, if you are still interested in them you may want to call any BB's in your area and have them check the Sku#. I called one store and had them check and found out they had 3 at the great price of $49.99. I only got 2 so there should be 1 at the Irving BB here in the DFW area.
SKU: 6985612

Yeah! that was the price I posted originally many moons ago!
I might just get a second one!
Thanks Op!

Yes, the shelves are quite adjustable. For instance, I have one that has has my PSP, Genesis carts, DS case, Neo Geo Pocket, and GBA machines all on one side. I have 4 and was able to put all of my non-current-gen games on 3 of them (with room to spare) and all of my DVDs on the 4th in the living room.

Regarding spinning, as has been said before, once you put a bunch of crap on it, it takes a little effort to spin it around, and it won't go too fast. It never feels cheap though.
listing is back but now in store only for 49.99, call around, well worth it at that price
Damn, I might just pick up another for the future. These things are nice, even if I paid $65 for mine after taxes.

I really wish I hadn't spent so much money on my cabinets. I only bought cabinets so my games wouldn't get dusty but that was a waste as my games are still getting dusty (though not as fast) so that was sorta of a waste.

Can't say I don't want one.

Any body mind uploading a couple pics? A few quick searches didn't help much.

Mine would be fairly empty, probably only around half full.

I haven't even put my second one together yet, I keep saying i'll get around to it but eh, i'll get around to it. I'm in the same boat, i've blown a lot on bookcases and multimedia racks when just a few of these were more then enough.

I took a picture, a very blurry picture on the first page when I posted, bah i'll post another one

I payed 85 for mine and I LOVE it holds my whole collection and my daughters movies in a 1.5 foot square of space. if it ends up filling up i'll get another one, nothing holds so much in such a small amount of square footage.

Here are some pics of mine. I also paid like 80 bucks for the thing well over a year ago. And I love it. People are very impressed when they see it. It's a great way to show off your collection.

I had mine at my parents house but I was able to move it to my new place with little trouble, just take out the stuff, shelves and get a buddy to help you move it.

i got it also. Most of my movie and video game collection is in it. I need to get another two because I still have to put my CD collection in and put in all of my video games. I got stuff everywhere so my wife will be really happy when she sees another two come in th front door.

I just picked one up. This thing is very heavy for one person. Yeah, I know this thing is 80 lbs and I stupidly thought I could do it myself. Luckily, just when I realized I couldn't lift into my CRV a nice guy offered to help me lift it into my car. When I got back, I asked my roomate to help. I'll assemble later in the week when exams are over.

Haha yeah you can feel your money's worth when you pick up that box. Make sure you put it together near where it is going to go, once I got it together I had to break out some furniture sliders to move it by myself on carpet

That's a nice looking Escaflowne figure in the background there. Where'd you get it? That's not the transformable one they released here, is it? I always wanted to get one of those. I have the one that came with little figures of van and hitomi.

I carried it by myself... from my car, up a flight of stairs (it was carried out of the store on a cart, to my car). Maybe you're just a wuss.;)

But seriously, I wouldn't recommend carrying this by yourself. After I took it up the stairs to my room, lets just say that I didn't assemble it until the next day.

No, it was the other statue that got released here, both are now rare as hell. Mine came from Suncoast believe it or not, when Escaflowne the movie came out if you ordered the limited edition online they threw it in for 10 bucks more. Last time I saw that statue for sale was Otakon 2007 , one seller had it for 160 and managed to sell it at that price.

My BB only had the floor model in stock, and said that it isn't yet discontinued and would be coming back in stock, so they can't quite sell the floor one yet. Hopefully I'll nab one in the next week or 2.

this is what i see...

Where can i run the sku (rather than calling around, to see if my store has this in-stock

I'm tempted to get one, but I'd rather get a bigger one again.
That one looks kinda corny, but I think I'd need to see it in comparison to an actual picture of the whole room...?

I have this big one:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/ivomitorgasms/dansroom.jpg

over 1,000 slim cased dvd's on it, fitting on just two sides of it.

How accurate is the description of what it can fit for this one?
Mine claimed 700dvds, but I got much more from it...

Also is the wood really cheap and gets ugly?

Well, congrats for getting one for a good price. It looks pretty cool.

They should, it's listed in their website as "in store only". There are some branches that are OOS, so make sure to ask them to check other nearby stores for availability.
