Don't know if it's been mentioned but my BB has the old gray Wavebirds for $30, so $25 after GGC. Probably YMMV but it's worth a shot.

The Logitech's do have a problem. The pressure sensitivity of the anlalog buttons don't work the same way they do on the Dual Shock's. Trying to put away your pistol on Metal Gear is a lot tougher. Otherwise, they're fine.
My Wavebird works fine most of the time, but I have a 900 mhz cordless phone, and that sometimes causes problems. Also, don't the Wavebirds have a signal strength of over 100 ft?

I haven't had any trouble of any sort with my Wavebird, and I use it from other rooms, through walls, etc. Definitely the best wireless I've ever used.
