Assuming that none of these games get cancelled ot moved to the Xbox 2, here is what we should expect:

Mercenaries
Phantom Dust
Half-Life 2
Doom 3
Jade Empire
Forza Motorsport
Oddworld Stranger's Wrath
NBA Street V3
Iron Phoenix
Conker: Live and Reloaded
Super Monkey Ball Deluxe
Pariah
Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict
Star Wars Republic Commando
Project: Snowblind
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Kameo: Elements of Power?
Metal Slug 4 & 5
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Scarface
Lego Star Wars
Outlaw Tennis
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect

And more. This looks like a good year for the Xbox.

Project: Snowblind sucks. Scarface will suck. Oddworld will suck. Conker will suck.

Everything else should be cool though.

Wow, you can predict the future I guess. Please tell me what the MI lotto will be also.

Mechassault 2 is due out the 28th of December, if its delayed a week it'll count for 05.

Project Snowblind does suck. Scarface has a very high probability of sucking. Oddworld could be average, Conker could go either way. I wouldn't get too excited about NBA Street either.

Jade Empire could be a game of the year candidate. Republic Commando will play like Ghost Recon 1 with good AI, which is a good thing.

aside from Scarface , I think all of those will be good games.

Project Snowblind needs a little work and it will be awesome. The game is not all that far from being a really good online shooter, and with the build we are playing, probably being incredibly old, I bet many of the upgrades and changes have already taken place.

conker will probably end up being decent. I cannot see it being all that bad, as they are trying to impress MS and show they got their monies worth.

Oddworld also looks really good. It genuinely looks like a really interesting game, and I am kind of disappionted that they do not plan on porting it to any other system ( would really like a PC port)
I can't imagine Lego Star Wars being good.
Have you seen the pics yet? If the game plays as cool as the concept and the pics, than it should definately be fun.

The graphics alone make me want to get the game and I am not even a Star Wars fan.

Games in my opinion that will suck:
Metal Slug 4 & 5
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Scarface
Lego Star Wars
Outlaw Tenni
Doom 3
Phantom Dust

Games that will be decent:
Mercenaries
Half-Life 2
Forza Motorsport
Oddworld Stranger's Wrath
NBA Street V3
Iron Phoenix
Conker: Live and Reloaded
Super Monkey Ball Deluxe
Project: Snowblind
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Kameo: Elements of Power?
Star Wars Republic Commando
Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict

Games that will be good (like very VERY good):
Jade Empire
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect

I dont' know about some of those... rare's games have been sucking as of late... Kameo got delayed indefinetly and the last time I played conker it wasn't good (definetly not much better than blinx... an average game). I am extremely looking foward to Jade Empire. And man, Forza has great graphics but gameplay and controls (mainly the controls) suck!

But Jade Empire... argh!!! looks soooo good!

Thats the only game this year for xbox that I'm preordering! I must have it!

Jade Empire is the only one I think has any chance of pulling me off my FFXI craze.

And I kinda agree with Tcrash247, certain games (espicially Half Life 2) would probally be much more enjoyable on an actually PC. I understand not everyone has one though. But in time... all in good time. (I personally haven't liked the doom, quake, half life, etc.. ports)

I am not so sure about Half-Life 2 on the Xbox, but IMO Doom 3 on the Xbox should be really good. I also forgot about the new Splinter Cell game.

I hope HalfLife 2 is decent for the Xbox. I really want it, but am unwilling to spend the $500 it would take to get my PC into shape.

The only exclusive games that interest me is Conker and Phantom Dust. The other game that interest me, not listed is Tork. Everything doesn't interest me, or is crap IMO. I think Froza will be crap, because of how terrible the demo was. I bought my OXM just to play that demo, and was very disappointed. The rest I want on that list are on PS2 also.

Jade Empire will be awesome, there's no doubt about that. Phantom Dust could be good, but is that even coming to the US?

Conker will suck, the multiplayer in the N64 game was horrendous and that seems to be what the XB game will be primarily based upon. I also don't really need an update of the original, it was just fine how it was already.

I really don't think '05 will be Xbox's best year ever. If anything, I'd say either last year (Panzer Dragoon Orta, KOTOR, Crimson Skies) or this year (Halo 2, Fable, KOTOR 2, Ninja Gaiden, Riddick) were the best. They certainly were better than 2005 looks to be, unless some crazy announcements are made. Also, with the XB2 launching in a year, I'd expect the fall blockbusters not to be on XB but to be on XB2.

Majesco is bringing it to the US

Don't forget Darkwatch too. And Painkiller is also supposed to come out next year.

Bold statement. I believe that this year will have been the strongest year for this generation of the Xbox. They will be some great titles next year but not as many as this year.
Majesco is bringing it to the US
Well I'll be damned. That looked pretty good and got decent reviews in Japan, I'm glad it's coming stateside.

Oh, and another potentially good game, though not an exclusive anymore (I don't think) is Psychonauts for next year, though I'm kinda iffy on that one.

Painkiller looks good, but it is not my type of FPS. I really do not like games where you just shoot everything that moves ( I do like MP games like this though)

I know I'm looking forward to Jade Empire, Republic Commando, Mercenaries, Iron Phoenix (I am so hoping this doesn't suck), Timesplitters: FP, Oddworld, UC2, and Kameo.

I think Doom 3, HL3 and Painkiller will end up being too toned-down to fit on the XBox, as they all rock with PC video cards far better than the Geforce 3+ in the Xbox. Lesser cards, enh, not quite as nice.

Rest of them, not quite sure. Will wait and see.

Im looking forward to:
Jade Empire
Pariah (I might get the PC version)
Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict (Ill wait for a price drop)
Star Wars Republic Commando (Ill wait for a price drop)
Project: Snowblind (Ill wait for the reviews and a price drop)
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect

BTW, Kameo: Elements of Power was canceled.

Half-Life 2
Doom 3
Jade Empire
Conker: Live and Reloaded
Pariah
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Kameo: Elements of Power
Metal Slug 4 & 5
Painkiller

Those are the games I'm hoping to still get from the Xbox.

Okay thanks. I was not sure. Some said it was, while others said it wasn't. I guess I missed it when it was first reported.

so far only Jade Empire, Star Wars Republic Commando, Metal Slug 4 & 5, Lego Star Wars and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect look good to me. I have no faith that Rare's games are going to be good. Alot of those games are also multi-platform games. And I already finished Half Life 2 and Doom3 on the PC. and I played both Super Monkey Ball games on the GameCube over a year ago.

I'm really not impressed with next years lineup.

And when did Phantom Dust get announced for the US?
Last I knew MS said they were not bring it to the US and that it was going to be Japan ONLY. Thats why I imported my copy in.

Conker will, in fact, not suck, Oddworld is a 50/50, other then that, you're right.

I think you accidentally put a 'not' in there where it doesn't belong.

Conker's Bad Fur Day had suck-tacular multiplayer modes. That is a fact.

Conker Live and Reloaded will be focused primarily on multiplayer (via XBL). That is also a fact. I guess the single player can be cool, but I don't want to spend another $50 or even $20 on a game that I already spent $70 on.

god.... i wait and wait forever for xbox to get some good games. there has only been a handful worth my attention and now this xbox 2. what a waste of freaking money
BTW, Kameo: Elements of Power was canceled.
AFAIK, it's only delayed. Someone please tell me if I'm wrong.

What's with all the hating? I have less games for my Xbox than for my Cube or my PS2, but that's still 16 games, which isn't too bad. Xbox doesn't have the best exclusives, per say, but it has some damn good ones, and it'll have a few more before its successor is released.

werd... Xbox does have a few good exclusives. I mean, I enjoy Cube and PS2 more (I also just like the feel of the games better... As a whole, I prefer Japanese games. American games, most of the time, just feel alot more fake and I feel disconnected with the character).

The only games I am interested in are Half-Life 2, Doom 3, and Mercenaries, but I will probably get Mercenaries for PS2.....

I agree, as far as I hype goes this was the year for the xbox with Halo 2, Fable, Ninja Gaiden. Jade Empire looks good, but nothing else really jumps out at me. Hopefully I am wrong though, and I have no doubt that there will be some good games next year, but I don't think they will top this year.

Far Cry Instincts appears to have a 6 month edge on PS2 release. BTW anyone else find it wierd that Ubisoft annouced delay in SC: Choas Theory because it wanted less competition around release date, yet Doom 3 and Far Cry: Instincts (also Ubisoft) are both set to release around same time?

Jade Empire is the only game I'm looking forward to. I might even pre-order it, but my cheapness will probably cause me to wait for it to drop in price. It looks like a decent lineup, but like others have already posted, a large chunk of the games listed are multi-platform. Still, I'm glad I picked up my Xbox over thanksgiving.

a) The Live mode in CL&R is completly different from the N64 one. It's a Halo knock off (more or less) laden with comic michief that only Rare could deliver.

b) The single player mode has been heavily reramped, think aloung the line of REmake.

c) CBFD had a pretty decent multiplayer mode, hell me and my buddies still play the WW II one ever now and then.

Man... the physics and controls in forza are most... loose.. At least in the demo... it feels like I'm driving on a ice skaiting rink. I was sliding all over the places at one 30 mph... That's not right. I mean, if my crappy car doesn't slip like that when I accelerate to 30 mph that fast, then something is definately wrong...

Jade Empire! YES!

Conker's dissapointing... the levels are small and the action isn't anything great. AI is stupid and there's no variety so far really.

Responses:

a) Did you watch the videos of it? It looks pretty similar to CBFD's multiplayer and, in fact, nothing at all like Halo. For starters, it isn't a FPS, in case you didn't notice. It looks a lot like the D-Day-ish mode from BFD. Oh, and it seems like Rare doesn't deliver much these days (see Grabbed by the Ghoulies and, to a lesser extent, SFA for GC).

b) RE remake was NOT heavily revamped. Ooh, new graphics. Who gives a shit, the old one still looks and plays pretty good, and this has no differences in story, locales, etc, except for new character models and scenery.

c) BFD's multiplayer modes sucked, hard. I played them a lot and I played the single player mode of the game like 2-3 times. It was hands down my favorite N64 game, but I think the new Conker will suck hard, and you've given no reason as to why it wouldn't.
