I got through the entire game thanks to the walkthroughs, translations, and other things from that site.
Thank you sir. That is bookmarked for "hopefully" future usage. :D

What did you think of the game as a whole? Also the battle system? I know the graphics are stellar so I won't ask about that... but what rating out of 10 would you give it? I would like to hear a gamer's standpoint rather than a person that gets paid to review games.

Thanks! :)

Final Fantasy XIII mini review:

Personally, I find FF13 to be the most challenging FF game to date. Square Enix pretty much eliminated the need to grind until AFTER you beat the game. There aren't any super cheap, one-shotters or anything like that, but instead the game requires you to keep a keen eye on things in battle, as well as having the correct roles placed for your characters depending on the situation.

The only things, in my opinion, that seems to be lacking in the game are the characters and story. While some of the characters are great (Sazh is awesome), the others seem to fall flat since they know more about the story than the player does, and that's a big no-no! They aren't presented that well, but the story as a whole is feasible and so are the characters and their emotions. Also, the world isn't fully realized and SE doesn't go into great detail about it, which is kind of disappointing since the world in FF13 is beautiful but lacks any sort of backstory for the player to get engulfed in. Compared to Spira and Ivalice, Cocoon/Pulse just doesn't compare.

Overall and all things considered, I'd rate the game an 8.5/10. Very, very high praise for the battle system since it's truly excellent. It's a mix of Xenogears and Final Fantasy X-2, but super fast.

Hmmm Sazh is the awesome character huh? Interesting... he seems to be the character that most of the public has been ripping on (myself included). Thanks for your input. That sucks that the characters and the story are the downfall of it.

I am looking forward to the battle system now. :D

Contemplating on whether or not I should snatch up the the Samurai Champloo set.. one of my favorite animes of all time by far. Ain't got no ends on it though! :[
tony just did a big no-no. dont edit your bids after you placed them dude. not cool :shame:
I'm actually guilty of that myself, twice infact, once I bid up in a .25 increment, before fully reading all the rules :( and the 2nd time I posted too quick, and actually posted a value lower than the previous bid for the game, my apologies, gotta love a noob, eh? So if my bid needs to be retracted, please do so.

Hey earv. How would you say was the quality of Samurai Champloo on BluRay? Really hesitant about outbidding for it because the reviews on Amazon don't seem too good. :[

I only watched a couple of episodes. I thought they were alright - sound is good, though.

I'm ending the auction before 8:30 PM Pacific Time.

Ive also read that they are just upconverts, the only reason I am bidding on it is because I like the show from what I've seen and I don't own the previously released dvds :)
