wtf... ebgames banned me?!

For people who have banned customers-- how do you guys enforce it?

OP: Whether the DM called for it or not, sounds like you fucked with them a bit too much. You'd have to try REALLY hard to get banned from a store, so chances are, you deserve it.
Hmm, I always get sealed games, unless I buy used games. They have sealed games behind the counter
My eb sucks. The sealed games behind the counter are not always new.
They seal a lot of their games and sell them as new (I'm guessing they were once either store demos, employees rentals, or returns).
Sounds like that's probable.
OP, you forgot to tell about how you broke bad on their asses and kicked over the magazine rack, told them they suck, and how it took 18 security guards to drag you away kicking and screaming, and don't forget how you became Retail Hero of the Day.
Speaking of that... where is DDF?

Original Poster,

Have you returned to other stores? Any stores? Not just video game stores?

Threre are now companies that keep customer return databases for retailers. Many retailers will sign up and they all submit their return information in to the database.

It works like your credit rating. I have read that some stores will check this database everytime you buy or return an item from them. If you show up with subpar rating they will refuse to business with you regardless. So, it is possible you did something someplace else (Victoria's Secret - return a pair of panties with skid marks will surely get you a bad return rating, McDonald's - return half eaten big mac will too I bet). Although, I read that this database is based off number of returns and not what is returned.

However, I think original poster is not telling the whole truth. Either stretching the truth, lieing, or just not giving details.

Hmm I remmeber once I got kicked out of a convenience store for tying my shoes. I think he thought I was stealing something cause I walked into the back and noticed my shoes were untied so I started to tie them. Then he storms into the back and he demands to know what I'm doing. I give him a weird look and tell him I'm tying my shoes. Then he asks me to leave. Just an interesting anecdote.

At least in the two districts I've worked in, we aren't allowed to borrow games . We used to be allowed to take home games for a night or something to try them out, but that is no longer allowed here.

Maybe since Gamestop allow their employees to borrow games...EB Stop will do the same...

HaHa! :D totally irrelevant! Love it!

Hey OP! If you're telling the truth, that sucks! If you're lying, that sucks! So either way.... you suck! Hahaha!
Just had to mess with you a little bit. Good luck either way.

When I worked at GS a few years back we had about 4 people that were banned from the store. There was a police station in the mall, so the police would come down and tell the person they were not allowed back, and it there stepped foot in the store trespassing charges would be filed.

Too many returns? How many games have you bought and returned at EBgames? I think they are just sort of hinting that maybe it's your system rather than your game.

To get a banned person not to return again, I would simply pick up the phone and dial 9911. I did it fast enough to where it looked like 911. When infact, it was a # to my back room (speeddial) where an eomployee would answer "LOCAL POLICE". I would start talking, and the banned person would leave. We would laugh everytime.
