Of the rares I've purchased, I got 2 Dumbos and 2 Buzz at Target, 1 Buzz and 1 Abu at TRU, and 1 Dumbo at Meijer. I don't really think there is a method to the madness per say. Other than to find Zurg you will definitely only get him at TRU. As far as stocking goes for the gold packs though, it seems like my local TRU only ever has Mike's Car. They had Zurg when he first came out, but not since then.

I think all the rares were sent to the stores in jimbz town. The first day I bought discs I bought over 30 packs because Toy's R Us had the sale and I needed the whole set, as did my two friends. We didn't get a single rare out of 60 discs... Of everyone that bought discs that day only one kid got a rare... and there were a lot of discs being bought. 

Since then my friends have bought several packs, I have bought a few and the only way we have gotten any rares is by trading... there is one person that I work with that goes to the stores daily and actually uses the scratch technique and never finds any.

But it all makes sense now... guess it's time to move

call it what you will but selling 30 complete sets on ebay for over $80 a set for 20-23 pieces with investment being only $30-$40 a set cant really say it was a bad idea

i just thought id throw some info out there for the ones that think diff stores get diff rares. but its all good ive traded with a few on here to help them as well as myself.

heh na i just beat everyone to it in my area plus i live in one of the fastest growing cities in america we have about 8 walmarts in a 30 mile radius 3 best buys 10 game stops 3 targets etc there is just alot around here.

dont get me wrong i did all this the first week of infinity release. that doesnt include the 200 + packs i bought without rares in them to complete sets.

but fact info for you a box of packs consists of 36 packs only 2 of which will have a rare in it per box. if you can catch a place restocking shelves with what my wife calls a VIRIGIN box you will get 2 rares out of it and they will be different rares not the same from the same box.

There are individuals, me included, that enjoy buying power discs blindly. Back when I was still working on series one I'd grab a pack or two at random and open them (after purchasing, of course) with no clue what I was getting. A rare was a rare, and if I got one it was awesome...if I didn't, that sucks, maybe next time.

Since you cleared out like a dozen stores, you've essentially ed over people like me who don't do all that scratching nonsense.

Congratulations on ruining the day of a bunch of other customers, asshole.
