I had a ton of Reward points on my credit card, used them to buy 150$ worth of Best Buy gift cards. Preordered....and of course 'sorry dont have your preordered phone in we didn't get as many as we needed'

thanks Best Buy. Gonna see where I am on the list & when they expect another shipment. Then ill decide if i should start calling up an at&t store or apple store to see if they got a 16gb sitting in the back, doubt it though. no 720p video for me :/

edit - supposedly apple had said okay to their preorder at my local bb of 45 phones, then last minute said they wont meet the expected preorders a shipped only 15 phones. hopefully next shipment ill get my new phone.

I just jailbroke and unlocked my 3G on iOS4 to sell it on ebay and guess what? Multitasking, wallpaper options and battery percentage are all enabled via the jailbreak for the 3G (all disabled on stock firmware).
 
man, i have had a shit time with accessories. i bought a case and screen protector. and they simply would not agree with each other. every time i put the case on, the screen protector would pop up. so i returned both of them, got a different screen protector and different case. same problem. im starting to think its the shape of the iphone, not the accessories. anyone have a similar experience?



edit: my gf hasnt opened her phone yet. we just looked on craigslist and people are listing them for crazy high. were thinking about selling it, pocking a few hundred dollars and buying another one several weeks down the line.

^ just be careful selling it on craigslist, dont need a bunch of thugs following u home or busting through ure door like the koolaid man. good luck on selling it, just make sure u dont get jacked.

gonna wait for Best buy to call me back, ill start searching other avenues next weekend if Best Buy doesn't get another shipment in the next 7 days.

Apple's pre-order site was overloaded due to the amount of requests, so a lot of people were unable to actually make it through the system. I was unable to pre-order myself since I was out of town, so I had to wait until a couple days later.

As it stands, it looks like my phone will arrive sometime around the middle of July, but I get to avoid the rush and maybe a few of the first run production issues will be resolved.

great, more case problem. i think the case i have is blocking the antenna... i just noticed i had low reception. took the case off, full reception. this is very very annoying.

edit: take it back, its the way im holding the phone. but still.

I had the same problem, thats why I ended up walking into an ATT store...
