WWE Legends of Wrestlemania - Out now! Buy it or the Warrior will lecture you!

The thing that I never liked in the SvR games is that you're always stuck mashing buttons whether it's getting up or kicking out of a pin, probably wouldn't be such an annoyance if it didn't take such a long time to get up after being only knocked down twice during the start of the match.

Superfly Snuka confirmed. Also, some great detailed shots of the wrestlers announced thus far. Overall, they look incredible except for Brutus Beefcake, who looks just dreadful, and nothing like the guy at all. He looks like one of those CAWs that people make who are just satisfied by getting the tights and hair somewhat close to correct.

Possibly Double A in the ring waiting for Bam Bam? He's a WWE employee (or was as of a few months ago, and had been since the sale of WCW, I can't keep track anymore), and Tully Blanchard seems to be on every retrospective wrestling video WWE puts out, so it wouldn't be shocking at all to get The Brain Busters.

Looks like they're bringing back the godawful mini-ring entrances from HCTP that they used for the legends.

Its only for that arena.... there are different WM arenas. Not all use the mini ring.

Are we allowed to post scans here? Cos that one is from wwe magazine and it shows jake putting a snake around orton and fuji/bret in a pic... which pretty much confirms yokozuna. If scans are not allowed please edit it out.
 
I used to run LegendsofWrestling.net and those model pictures remind me when Acclaim sent me an exclusive model of Superfly for the site. Ah those were good times.

Interesting bit under that Jake pic that mentions SvR09 connectivity. Has that bit of info been released yet?

Well only the bit about how you can transfer wrestlers from SVR09 into LOWM and have dream matchups. But not sure how its done yet. Im hoping i can just rent SVR09 and install it or something and have them all the time. it would be stupid to have to put the disc of SVR09 everytime you want to play as a wrestler in LOWM.

Was reading some impressions from another website (played at Comic con) and they were not impressed with the game at all. Basically said the controls were garbage.

Oh yeah, forgot about the CAW part. Reading it made me think that you could somehow merge the rosters or port over whichever legends you wanted into 09.
 
Ok, so here's the question (not sure if I posed it before) about the connectivity... what about the controls? If there's such a disparity between LoW and SvR then they must have had to actually 'create' those guys in the other game, correct? Does that mean that it'll be a 'limited' connectivity roster?

I'm still just baffled by the lack of info about a game so close to release.

You know, I realize that for all we complain about Smackdown, we sure want this game to be a hell of a lot like it. ;)

Anyway, I came here to post "Alright, I'm calling it now... they fucked it up. I give up."

Then... well, then I looked at my games. I look back at all of the old WWF games, and I realize that, dammit, some of those 'arcade' ones may not have been great, but they were a hell of a lot of fun. I mean, if I can still enjoy the hell out of 'Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game', maybe there's some hope to be had here. I realize it's one of those glass-half-full things, but I'm going to keep an open mind. It may not be what I wanted it to be, but maybe... just maybe... it'll turn out to be pretty fun.

(Oh, and let's just be fair here... most of us here are big enough whores that we're going to pick this up around release if it gets even slightly over mediocre reviews. I mean, a Legends game? A real one? My will is not that strong. ;) )

2nd ?? - guy with short hair, cant make out face due to question mark
3rd ?? - fat guy with long hair, think its Quake

Any screen shots of the ?? spots? I go to the roster site and all i see are the ropes and nothing else comes up.

The inclusion of
Demolition
would make this game worth it regardless of the controls. Also, from what people who saw it are saying, there's thought that
Razor Ramon
is one as well.

I'm glancing over the Wrestlemania cards looking for tag teams that would fit the short hair/long hair description. Aside from Demolition, the only other two groups that are even remotely possible are The British Bulldogs and The Killer Bees. But if The Killer Bees are secret characters I'm cuttin' some throats. Okay, or the Steiners. But that's even less likely than The Killer Bees.

Just a heads up, as of this time, GC will be selling this at $49.99. I don't know if this is a permanent thing or not. This happened with Tomb Raider Anniversary, where GC sold it at $29.99 at launch, whereas it was $39.99 everywhere else.

And the Bulldogs shouldn't be one, since Davey Boy Smith is already on the regular roster.

It could be Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda as well...
