I'm not sure, I think you should have gone to Backlash by now, but that sounds like it could be an error in the game or something.

yea its his custom ecw theme... man im still psyched about that.. im dying to get the ecw arena.... i also like how the commentery mentions him being an ecw legend.. it would have been cool if on the wrestler select screen it said ecw legend and not wwe legend..

It's been like that for the past couple of Smackdown games. I think SYM was the only game where more then 25% of the roster had an alternate outfit.

Yeah, I know...I guess he didn't really have a theme while he was with Khali because....he always came out with Khali. When he was doing the Angle manager gig a while back he did use the Hassan theme.
It's not that big of a deal, I was just hoping for it because I wanted to make a custom Hassan to use for YTMNDs.

Why include them for free when you can buy them over marketplace?
Watch. It'll happen. DX costumes as alternates, 10 MS Points. Not expensive at all but enough to make you a bit angry.

I really think it's an issue of resources. They obviously worked really hard on the costumes, and probably felt it's better to have one kick-ass one that three half-assed ones. However, doing something like changing Mr. Kennedy's colored tights should've have been too tough.

Challenges I believe are done through regular matches. It's just like a checklist. You can do exhibition matches if you want to try for them, but you have to set them up.

The only way to do them is through "Direct Challenge" in the Challenge menu, I'm fairly certain.
It was available for me, from the main menu go to the locker room, and then to the challenges television on the bar and it will say "Start --> Direct Challenge". Just press Start and the challenge starts automatically.

play through the story. I think you have to enter and win the rumble to unlock stone cold though, because story mode did not unlock him for me.

Also, did anyone (2Fast?) figure this out? I'm wondering why my season mode skipped survivor series, either that or I didn't get a trophy for it and I've won all of my PPV matches so far.
Unless it comes AFTER Wrestlemania. So far I've done the first story with the big show and then Wrestlemania.

in' suck.I mean, if there is one thing I'd want from a Smackdown game, is for maybe Yukes to take a year off and take the time to polish what they have or maybe rebuild from the ground up.
I think most Smackdown games are cutting things or not really adding alot has to be time constraints... this yearly output of Smackdown games has to be hurting what they can do.
So take a year off, bring us a new Smackdown with a ton of legends (I mean, no Andre The Giant? wtf?), alternate costumes, a bitchin season mode that you control, and a ton of bells and whistles.
In other news, in my GM mode, RVD is pissed because he wants a title shot but I'm not going to give him one... just like what really happened on Raw! Sorry Rob, you've hit the glass ceiling in my fed.

Well AJ and Joe have been on them to try and make it like No Mercy so hopefully it does end up decent. Midway has been doing better in the quality department so I have some hope.
As far as SD taking a year off, I think once they ditch the PS2 and go next gen things will get better. Load times should disappear and gameplay should get better. Honestly I just want a wrestling game where I can have good quality matches that last about as long as a real wrestling match should. I could care less about intros and commentary. I could care less about presentation. Just give me a good quality fighting engine and I will be happy.

Survivor Series is after Wrestlemania. I think everything may depend on who you play as. I'm currently playing as Booker T in story mode (which started at No Mercy IIRC), so since I've retained the WHC I'm in every PPV.

Tazz rambles on about how Booker T sucks because he's "never won the big one," which is stupid for two reasons: 1) he has, and 2) Tazz hasn't won shit; sure he beat some meth addict for the ECW title, but who gives a damn?
Then on Raw Jerry Lawler talks about how Booker T is a criminal (he did do time when he was young for knocking off a few Wendy's I think), which hasn't been relevant (or mentioned on TV) since Wrestlemania XIX.
I wish they would have at least not recycled the past few years worth of commentary.

Then on Raw Jerry Lawler talks about how Booker T is a criminal (he did do time when he was young for knocking off a few Wendy's I think), which hasn't been relevant (or mentioned on TV) since Wrestlemania XIX.
I wish they would have at least not recycled the past few years worth of commentary.

I haven't played as Booker T yet... this really makes me want to, just to hear the stuff about him being a criminal. Shit, that is hilarious, I can just picture them talking about it now. I like the shit Lawler says about Cena everytime too, something about how rappers shouldn't be in the WWE but I don't think Cena has used the "Rapper" gimmick in quite some time... certainly not when I've seen him on television.
Tommorrow, 2fast, and Scorch, we need definitely need to play online, I can't wait to recite this great commentary as we play.

I think it's possible that Cole and Tazz have less to say than JR and the King.
- He's posturing to the crowd!

- Then they go back and forth about how your character would do anything for these fans. You're playing favorites! (Nice grip counter!) These fans are exercising their first amendment rights. Oh no Tazz, you'll never catch me in the ring! And the like.
- And my personal favorite bit of wisdom from Michael Cole: "I think whoever executes their finishing move first will win the match!"
If you really want a laugh, play through story mode as the Undertaker. It's funny to think about the Undertaker checking his voice mail from Teddy Long (Hey playa!) and getting into all sorts hijinks backstage.

does anyone know how you do challenge mode? Do I go to the exhibition mode to do the challenge matches because it won't let me fight them while I am in the locker room.

Are you going straight to the locker room from the main menu? This is what I do and I can directly challenge them all, I've already done 8 or 9 of them.
I don't think the locker room in season mode lets you do it.
