I think they are all supposed to be $49.99.

Very nice. I knew about the rerelease but still didn't want to pay full price for it. This solves that problem nicely. Thanks!
Are they re-releasing all the sets?
Yep. Seasons 4, 5, and 6 are due out in March.
Why are they re-releasing the sets? Just wondering...
Cause the original versions aren't selling anymore. They're too expensive for casual fans and the hardcore fans have already picked them up. These barebones sets are trying to attract casual X-Files fans.
Isn't there a complete series boxset coming out?
that would cost like a million bucks, I guess it depends how they put it together. It could be done though, they did a real good job putting all the buffy seasons into one set.

I saw an X-Files Complete Series Set on Amazon. It's like $806.00... Wasn't the entire Buffy Series Set only like $100 - $150? I remember almost buying it during the DeepDiscountDVD sale but quickly came to my senses.

Quite the contrary - you seem to be completely bereft of your senses for passing it up at such a cheap price.

I personally would rather have these than the originals. Less shelf space taken up is a good thing for me. Also, the packaging of the originals is way too fragile. That said, I won't be up-grading (or down-grading as it may be) just because of that.

o_O

They're not bare bones. They're exactly the same, but in slimpacks like the Mythology sets rather than the digipacks. All the original bonus features are intact.

Next time, read. ;)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, too bad Season 1 is so worthless
I disagree... Season 1 is one of my favorite seasons (along with 2-5). It got me hooked on the series.

It started going downhill shortly after the movie... and it really started blowing when Agent Daget (T-1000) replaced Mulder.

$15 is a good price... back in 2000, i must have paid around $70 for this.

Read...ing?

Which I thought I did, but missed that post. Obviosuly. Anyway, my main point was the link, so people could read it. You know. So there's no "Can anyone confirm this?" questions.

I got an email from them saying it's been backordered and they don't have an expected date for restock.
It appears that it is no longer available for pre-order.

I can wait, so its no big deal.

I just checked my mail and got the "Backordered" email.. this stinks! Do not know if I should wait, or should I just go ahead and buy them all on Tuesday? Hmmmm..

I have been waiting for a price drop on this show since I got a freaking DVD player. I stupidly passed on the Best Buy BOGO sale on them last year and have regretted it since.

Now my cheapass is satisfied.

Of course, that said, the link doesn't work and the item doesn't come up when I search outpost. $38 at Amazon will do!

FYI, if you buy all 3 at BB this week you save $30.

$75 for 3 seaons that previously would have been over $300? Yes please.

Yeah I'm with you. Been waiting to pick these up cheap forever now. Think I'll bite on this for the first three seasons.

It was my understanding that the bonus behind-the-scenes (or whatever it was) discs were NOT included in the re-releases. Not that it matters to me, I just want all the episodes uncut and unedited.
