X06 & Tokyo Game Show 2006 - **Today is the Last Day of X06/TGS Downloads**
Updated OP. New info...Its coming to US!!! This Wednesday 9/20.

What do you guys think the new UNANNOUCED XBLA game will be?

Killer Instinct? Double Dragon? Gradius?
I'm going with Killer Instinct, since it's Rare, and MS knows people would eat that shit up espically after SF 2.

Espically since its a major franchise... KI is major.
No :shame:
c'mon dude, ninja turtles were cool in 1989. I was 8 years old and I got my fair share of joy. I have to move on. Same with He-Man in 1986. The simpsons, however, are timeless.
Hmm... well I already knew about that one, but yeah, I don't remember them announcing it. That's probably what it is.
That would suck and be such a huge dissapointment.

Ninja Turtles will always be cool. He-Man was never cool. The Simpsons have sorta overstayed their welcome (and my god does it hurt me to say that). I love the show but I just can't watch it anymore; whether it be new or old episodes. I do enjoy all the references you put in your sigs from time to time (Cali cheesburger, Linguo).

C'mon man, you could THROW the foot soldiers AT THE SCREEN! I've never seen anyone do that since. Do you remember the level where you have to throw the foot soldiers at Shredder's little tenticle tank to break it? That rocked.

The Simpsons game doesn't hold up too well either :p
Isn't Cheapy suppose to be at this event?
He's attending, but he was only allowed to do so if he dressed up as a stereotypical American.

I've never been in a Simpsons Vs. TMNT debate before. I had a whole post prepared, but this can only get ugly. Lets cut our losses and spare CAG

but yeah, TMNT and Simpsons arcade games are basically the same thing with different themes. If one hasn't aged well, the other hasn't either.

TMNT Turtles in Time was a hell of alot better than the Simpsons.... I mean, damn, Sideshow Bob gives you a present to restore your health? The game seems like it's VERY loosely based on The Simpsons too... TMNT is alot more accurate and seems to be more creative in terms of levels and bosses.

This is the internet, and as you know, it's serious business. I'm not going down without a fight.

You win. You always do.

I like The Simpsons better than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

(The arcade titles, that is.)

These days, The Simpsons is loosely based on itself... so it all equals out.

What? Gyruss and Rush N Attack were pretty fun back in the day...

I do want more info on Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and DOA X2, though...

- DOAX2:The Japanese version will be released on 11/22 at the hefty price of 9240 yen ($78.89 USD). The US version will be released on 11/15. A release for Europe will take place "Soon."

- HD-DVD player: In Japan, the peripheral will be released on 11/22 at a price 19,800 yen ($169.02 USD).

- Sensui is speaking about the release of the Core Pack in Japan for 28,381 yen ($242.26 USD). The package will have PGR3 and Ninety-Nine Nights included for a limited time. Sensui notes that with the two games included, the 360 a better value than the Wii

I'd almost buy into the Japanese Core Pack w/two games if I wasn't already committed to a Wii.

That comment was mostly directed at Bandai Namco effort.

TGS Picture Pack

PLUS, later today a 5-minute the TGS Briefing will also be available on Xbox Live, but I don't have an exact time...but expect it around 5p PT.

http://www.majornelson.com/archive/2006/09/20/Bringing-it-Home-Day-1.aspx

Only thing I see up so far is the Tenchu Senran Trailer.

The gamerpics are pretty awful. Its four pics in different colors that read TGS 2006 (or 06 I can't remember).

From what I gather, neither Map pack is free right now. Map Pack 2 does have a nice big banner that reads "Free Map Pack - Limited Time Only"

I have no idea what I'm suppose to do but Tenchu Senran is insanely badass. The camera kind of sucks and I haven't figured out how to lock on yet.

Chalk up another hit for From Software.

No Yir Ar Kung Fu? Eat my fuck, Microsoft/Konami. I'm relegated to play this on every computer I own, as well as my PSP my GBA Arcade Collection Cart now? Boo. I would have paid upwards of 75 points for that.

^^^Seconded. They finally dig up one of the few early/mid 80's games I would actually PAY the five bucks for, then label it Japan only.

fuckers. I want Yie Ar Kung Fu RIGHT NOW. I want BUCHU, FAN, and TONFA. RIGHT NOW!.

Also in Japan they have a FREE LIVE WEEK. I noticed it when I went to download the demo on my Japanese account.

http://translate.google.com/transla...box+Japan&hl=en&lr=&client=safari&rls=en&sa=G

This is the xbox.com japan website it has a list of all the demos and items that are coming out this week for the Japanese live users so we can expect the same. Of note is Sonic the Hedgehog DEMO and Fusion Frenzy 2 DEMO

Well the link goes to the main page so here is a walkthrough
1. go to the bottom right and click on 'Bring It Home' period limitation and transmission list renewal
then go down to #2 which is xbox live marketplace
then scroll through list of coming demos videos and events!!!

This shit is so cool. I don't have a 360 but you guys are some lucky bastards to be able to download the same demos that you read about over the internet.

And a Sonic demo is forthcoming? Oh we are gonna need a new thread for that.

I can't tell if you are serious or if you are mocking me....

This was it. I think MS is finally going to get their foothold in Japan based on this press conference... hopefully Moore wasn't serious when he said there were 50 titles exclusive to Japan though...

I played the Tenchu demo and thought it was average. The graphics were bland, the combos hardly existed, and I kept on doing the same stealth kill. I did like the character customization but it needs more options. The upskirt camera shot is hillarious. So overexxagerated. That girl just stands there with her legs spread so far apart. lol

The DOAX2 trailer is the same one we've had since E3. There are also gamerpics specific to Japan that I can't seem to get to work with my 360. The file size is different than our TGS pics by around 58kb.
