8:05: Moore says there's a partnership that will deliver completely new stories to Xbox Live. Microsoft Game Studios introduces Lord of the Rings director and Halo executive producer Peter Jackson. Jackson takes the stage to hollers and loud applause. He says the first project has been in the works for about a year. He talks about a "not quite a game, not quite a film" experience. He wants to take stories that could become films but maybe won't, and bring them into the world of games.
8:06: The game will be based on Halo!!! It's not Halo 4, and it's not the film, but it will be based in the world of Halo.It will NOT be a traditional game. Is this the much-rumored "Forerunner" game?
 
8:07: Jackson speaks! "Instead of making a film, we [will] make a form of entertainment that you can watch and enjoy like you would a film," but with interactive elements, he says. Jackson thinks the technology is to the point where games and film can blend, "and the fun of this is going to be figuring out where they can blend." He says it won't be especially for the hardcore game crowd. Moore says this means Microsoft is working on Halo beyond the movie, and Bungie is working on content beyond Halo 3.

Wait, now I'm confused. Is the Halo RTS the one Peter Jackson is doing, or is he doing anothe game completely (meaning 3 upcoming Halo games?)

8:09: A trailer begins. There's a Warthog from Halo. Lots of them. They're tearing through a barren field with a few Scorpions. Another group of space marines is under attack. The Covenant wipes out the last of that group and prepares for the incoming Warthogs. A full-scale battle erupts, with tons of vehicles left and right. Spartan Group Omega shows up. "If they want war, we'll give 'em war." A logo for "Halo Wars" appears. The show's over.

Damn that ending sounds awesome. MS owns my soul!

The people that made Ages of Empires are doing the RTS so I guess that means 3 Halo games.

Holly shit!!!! Just saw the trailer for Halo Wars, its awesome, I know its not actual game footage but It got me thinking of how awesome a Halo CGI film or series would be.
 
MS is burning the house down, so many exclusives and soo many titles and soo much stuff....dayyuuummmm. Now guitar Hero with wireless guitar, hahah X06 is rockin the crap out of TGS in 2 hrs vs the 8 days at TGS....too funny. I cant wait for Lumines and some other demos on XBL marketplace...hmmm but where to get all th money for all these games and drives.
 
Now all we need to find out is when Guitar Hero is actually coming...I don't know how long I'd be able to wait for a 360 version..

The 199 price point of the HD-DVD drive makes the $600 PS3 price point seem resonable. Maybe Ill just get one of those instead. At least my games will have 50gig capacity that way.

I believe King Kong is an HD-DVD exclusive (no Blu-Ray), so it's the MOVIE. It comes out in November also. So, they will launch around the same time. $200 for me....more than likely.

Yeah, Gamespot updated their info saying it is the movie and not the game.

That wireless guitar for GH2 looks fucking ill. That shit is going to be crazy.

That's what would make sense to me too but GS posted the game. I dunno why?

Yeah, it was a mod for WarCraft 3. And it was 2 years in the making. They shut it down last week or so.

It would be flamey indeed, i still want a post as to how to upconvert to 1080p through component..perhaps AVS forums has this topic...they shouold have just included a HDMi port on the HD-DVD player to solve all quams
