Hey mate, what country are you in - or what state? If your controller is malfunctioning I would either take it back to the retailer where you bought it or call MS. It can't be older than a year as we're just in October at the moment so I'm sure you must be under some warranty. In any case I'm sure if you make a fuss with your retailer or with MS that you'll either get a replacement for free or at a bargain.

Agreed. I'd like to add that for a long while (in Italy, at least) you could call up support for the 360 and if you said your controller was broken, they'd give you a new one for free, without even having to send the broken one back - so you could even make up any issue, and the first one was on the house. After that you had to send the controller back if you wanted support for that, so yeah. No idea if the same applies to X1 but could be worth a shot, maybe you can snag a free replacement.

So I picked up Dead Block yesterday, I'm sure I can squeeze $2.50 worth of fun out of it. Also got costume quest 2 this morning. Looking forward to playing it tonight. If Slender ever drops to $5 like it's supposed to, I'll pick that up as well.

Anyone else find anything worth getting this week?
 
I was hoping Costume Quest 2 would be $10. At $15 I will probably still pick it up. Just need to clear some space off my HD.

 
I got both the 1k and 2k rewards for BC2. I already had the game before if went free, and bought every DLC (Vietnam and Onslaught which were on sale, and the Spec-Act complete kit which was "cheap" anyway). So it's not tied to new players.

Marcus Fenix collection could cost $100 and I'd probably buy it. Man, I love me some Gears. Between that and MCC I wouldn't even need any other consoles probably.

I have a question I cant seem to find anywhere. For the GamesonDemand punchcard that ends in November, can redeeming a code for a game like the SO code in the white bundle count towards the three games?

 
Anyone got a feeling this month will be the first retail GWG title since they're also bringing the $50 discount and MCC?

Me either.

Still looking forward to it though.

I don't believe it does. I thought it only works on games directly purchased from the Xbox Digital Store.

Sort of tempting, albeit if they can put up a 50% sale so soon after its release, chances are it'll be like 2.50 in a couple months.

Personally I would find a serial killer stalking me to be horrifying. Maybe some people are cool with that.

PSA Sons of Anarchy season 6 was added to Netflix a few days ago. Just finished episode 5. So much happens in those first 5 episodes. Crazy

I only watched videos, and it seems kind of cheap scares mostly. Then again there's no horror movies that make me jump or poop myself, didn't even happen when I was younger, so there's that. I'd much rather take a psychological horror if anything.

Though, thinking about it, the first F.E.A.R. did scare me a couple times.

 
Anybody that bought onslaught while it was on sale wanna run through all the maps for the achievements? Tried to find a game a couple times since I bought em and it always turns up empty.

i thought it seemed silly on youtube but i played it and it is definitely tense

to get the most out of anything horror you have to play it late at night with the lights off, it won't be as scary playing it during a sunny afternoon

i recently replayed condemned at night time and it felt like a different game than the last time i played it during the day

I've already done them, but if you need a 4th player I can help. Just make sure you have most of the unlocks for the classes, headsets to communicate, and a few hours set aside. When I played we made it through 3 maps in 15 minutes each. But Atacama Desert took over 30 minutes.

I'm really surprised no one here tried to play the Bad Company 2 multiplayer together. You could have an 8 man team via party chat to dominate online in standard multiplayer or Vietnam. They're both still pretty active.

I have Condemned on my backlog, but I did play Condemned 2 and it's definitely scary - especially the scene with
the bear.
followed by
the objective that pops up on screen on how to "defeat" the bear.

And I would rather buy a Gears of War Collection over a Halo Collection.  I would play Gears 2 the most out of the collection since it's my favorite.
