Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

I have Condemned on my backlog, but I did play Condemned 2 and it's definitely scary - especially the scene with
the bear.
followed by
the objective that pops up on screen on how to "defeat" the bear.

And I would rather buy a Gears of War Collection over a Halo Collection. I would play Gears 2 the most out of the collection since it's my favorite.
Gears 2 as a favorite..that's something you don't see every day. Man..gears 2 was the biggest disappointment ever for gaming to me.

This video makes me want to run out and get a Xbox One right now!

P.S. For anyone that doesn't know, Costume Quest 2 has come out on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 today.

Gunscape coming out on Saturday November 1st has GWG smell all over it.

I would be stoked if that was the case, that's the Quake/arena style shooter where you can build the stages similar to Murder Miners I believe, that's a game I will be getting either way so free would be amazing :D

Have you guys played Gears lately online? it's terrible, virtually unplayable because the netcode has somehow got progressively worse over time.  I'd take a Gears collection in a heart beat just to play lagless Gears 3 and working Gears 2.

Hmm the OP says Titanfall season pass is $8.25 and I go buy it now and I'm getting $6.25. Hard to pass it  up at either price but the cheaper the better for my balance.

Thanks for the heads up, showing up that price for me too!! Glad I forget to get it the other day

Wonder why they changed it from 67% to 75%, oh well I save $2

Very unlikely, but any sales on $10 Xbox codes?  Anyone willing to help with me out with leftover GS codes?  O:)

Want it for the Titanfall Season Pass.

Thanks. Just bought in Australia at the new price, which was the previous sale price in America lol. Wish we could use credit for Xbox 360 purchases on the site also, still makes no sense that we can't.

Played a few hours of Sunset and did like the first 4 story missions, its pretty good but im not getting excited or anything, plus soe of the guns seem kinda weak. Does it get more exciting and fun to play later on?

I'm surprised they didn't make Cortana's face look like it did in Halo 4.
I thought most people didn't notice Cortana's face in Halo 4 because of her new firm(wear) implants.

Message boards were flooded about that change.

Well that sucks for those of is that bought it already.
I definitely recall one time where something like that happened, where the sale price dropped again due to mislabeled pricing, and people who bought it at the initial sale price were actually refunded the difference. I don't recall how long ago this was, or what the marketplace item was (I didn't buy it), but there is a precedent.

If no refunds are offered, contact Microsoft. There's no harm in asking, especially if it's their listing mistake.

I'm that far in as fell seems like typical standard open world game with grinding. enjoying it though

Wish this October sale had the original "Costume Quest" for 50% off. $14.99 for a game that's based around Halloween (and used to be part of the monthly October sale) is a shame. I picked it up for the iPad, but my son wants it for the Xbox 360. I'll shell out $7.50 for it but not $14.99.

the wait for gwg is somewhat annoying. the potential is so high but Its gonna be some more crap probably. I wouldn't mind d4 as I hear no one bought that

Yeah but I wasn't keen on waiting after last week where they raised the price on RBI baseball a few hours later.

Have you guys played Gears lately online? it's terrible, virtually unplayable because the netcode has somehow got progressively worse over time. I'd take a Gears collection in a heart beat just to play lagless Gears 3 and working Gears 2.
It's because mostly Mexicans are playing it and the region filter isn't working. Tons of lag down there.

Couldn't figure out how to add a spoiler button, but here we go:

You are now chatting with 'Raphael'.
Raphael: at 19:00:09
Hello, thank you for contacting Xbox Customer Support. My name is Raphael. Please give me a
moment to review your question.
Gary: at 19:00:21
I bought the Titanfall Season Pass as part of Deals with Gold this week. I see the price has changed
today and I would like a partial refund.
Gary: at 19:00:59
I paid $8.25 from my Micrsoft balance and the price has changed to $6.25.
Raphael: at 19:01:28
I understand, I will do my best to isolate this issue and I will be assisting you every step of the way
to resolve this before the chat ends.
Gary: at 19:01:42
OK thank you
Raphael: at 19:01:55
You're very much welcome Gary.
Raphael: at 19:02:13
May I ask, when did you buy the Titanfall Season Pass?
Gary: at 19:02:32
Tuesday 10/28/2014
Raphael: at 19:03:13
Thank you for that information. Please give me a moment while I gather information on our issue
today.
Raphael: at 19:06:05
Thank you for patiently waiting Gary. Upon gathering all of the information, I'm sorry we cannot do
that. However, you can contact Titanfall regarding on our issue today Gary.
Gary: at 19:07:42
I don't understand. I bought the item from Microsoft during the Games with Gold promotion and the
price changed during the same promotion period. I feel I am being treated unfairly by Microsoft. I am
simply asking for a $2.00 refund for the price difference.
Raphael: at 19:10:11
I understand from where you are coming from Gary. However, promotions are from time to time and
we cannot assure you that the price now is still the same price tomorrow. It has a definite time when
it will start and when it will end. Regarding on our issue today Gary, we can contact the Game
Publisher.
Gary: at 19:11:40
This price change happened during the same promotion.
Raphael: at 19:12:12
I understand. We would need to contact Titanfall regarding that issue.
Gary: at 19:12:24
Who is Titanfall?
Gary: at 19:14:59
This is a very strange approach Microsoft is taking with my issue. I have never had a retailer refer me
10/29/2014 about:blank
about:blank 2/2
to a manufacturer/publisher for a price adjustment.
Raphael: at 19:15:31
I understand. Please give me a moment while I gather possible resolutions on our issue today.
Raphael: at 19:24:39
Thank you for patiently waiting Gary. Upon summarizing all information that I have gathered, I'm
sorry to tell you that we cannot do that Gary. Promotions changes from time to time. Upon
purchasing your Season Pass, it is considered as final. I understand your situation Gary for I am a
consumer too. However, it will be best to contact the game developer to proper address you to this
issue. I can provide you their support site.
Gary: at 19:26:25
Raphael, do you understand that is not the best resolution? You are referring me to a dead end.
Raphael: at 19:31:33
I am sorry if you feel this way Gary. I understand your frustration. The thing is we do not have any
direct access to season passes or any Ingame options. Only the retailer has that capability.
Gary: at 19:32:31
Microsoft is the retailer. I bought the Season Pass through the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Raphael: at 19:33:16
I understand Gary. We cannot control promotions. We just distribute them.
Raphael: at 19:33:16
Thanks for your patience.

I essentially had the same response when I asked why, after 6 years of paying for XBL Gold, I didn't get a coupon for the Walking Dead, Season 2, Ep. 1 that many random, new subscribers had received.

They just tried to refer me to Telltale, even though they had issued the promotion through XBL Gold. They know it's a dead end; they just want to get rid of you.

Gunscape coming out on Saturday November 1st has GWG smell all over it.
Gotta say a Saturday release date is kind of strange so definately wouldn't surprise me.

So, kind of looks look a Doomified Minecraft (with the whole building stuff)? Anyone know if it actually has a campaign too?

yeah ms chat is usually useless
Really? Everytime I've talked with them, they've been very helpful.

The most recent time was when I bought Fallout NV when it was on sale but I didn't download it, it was just on my DL History. A couple days later when I went to download the game (still during the sale) when it wouldn't let me and kept asking for me to buy it again. I contacted them and told them about this problem and the guy looked through my history download history to see that it wasn't in the history but the purchase was shown in my transaction record. She told me to buy it again, which I did, and she refunded the price right away.

Nope, this was an online chat. All my interactions with them have been through chat.

Off topic, but has anyone seen the new DLC dated for Destiny? Us Xbox users are getting majorly gimped with it. We're paying $20 for the DLC for one strike, a few new story missions and a raid, whereas Playstation users get an extra strike, a couple new weapons and Sparrows for the same price. And according to Bungie, the Playstation strikes (one from launch and this one), are exclusive until "atleast fall 2015".

Now this wouldn't be too bad if the game had more content, but to miss two strikes (when the game only has 5 to begin with) is a huge slap to the face of Xbox users. I'm very glad I didn't buy the Season Pass.

EDIT: Here's the link for anyone who'd like to read the whole story, the Xbox dlc works out to have approximately 11% less content than the Playstation version for a dlc, and a game, that is already pretty bare bones.

Yeah, the 2nd dlc will have more PS exclusive content as well

"Interestingly, PlayStation platforms will also include additional exclusive content for both expansions (in addition to the already revealed PlayStation bonus content). All extra content will remain exclusive on PlayStation until "at least" fall 2015, said Bungie."

It's fine...Bungie already made a few great FPS games, and I get to relive those memories soon enough

I wish I had kept my destiny money and just bought halo anniversary. I did get about 10 hours out of destiny though so it was $6/hr

I put plenty of time into Destiny, and I feel like I got my money's worth, but I wish I hadn't bought an Xbox One to play it. I should have waited the two months for MCC to come out.

This is hilariously bad. The game already has so little content, I couldn't justify playing it after half a month already. If I had to kill the Archon or Sepiks one more time... gosh, I probably mauled them like 30 times each for the same freaking bounties and challenges. Now they ask the same price as PS for a gimped DLC that barely even adds stuff on the PS, let alone on Xbox which gets even less for the same price. With the netcode being utterly broken (how do they mess up so bad? Halo 1 had a better netcode than this), there really is no incentive left to keep on playing, and these DLCs are a joke, especially on Xbox. Also, never liked pay-to-level-up models either, which combined with the light armor roulette we've already got, is quite dumb. Too bad because the basic gameplay is awesome, but they really had to go the greedy way, did they? I'm not sure how they were planning to make this game last years.

He was told to contact titanfall. as if titanfall is a person that can respond
Sheesh I think you're all missing the point that Raphael was making . . . there's a Titanfall in each and everyone of us and we just have to reach inside and contact it and all our issues will then be solved. Seriously how you all missed Raph's point is beyond me . . . maybe you just couldn't look past the fact that he was a giant turtle with a super weak ass attack skill. Shame on all of you

Maybe Rapheal was trying to tell you to go stand under a Titanfall? He was so annoyed that you would want them to honor a $2 price difference.

Really enjoying Sunset Overdrive.  Of course I platinumed both Infamous and Infamous 2 and most Ratchet and Clank games so a game that takes the parts of Infamous and marries it to the guns and humor of Ratchet is right up my alley.

If anyone wants an Evolve Alpha code please pm me, got an extra one.

Sent a pm your way

I can SEND the invite to anyone with a gamertag, so if you send me a message on XBL, I can invite you right back.

However, whenever you get the actual invite, you accept it from within the message, so you most likely need an Xbox One to actually join the program. It may be possible to send an invite and then accept it later when you do get an Xbox One, but I'm not sure on that. I'm happy to share invites at any time, though, so if you're getting one later and want an invite then, just message me then.

I messaged you on XBL yesterday, I think.
