Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

I messaged you on XBL yesterday, I think.
Alright, cool. I have work right now and class after that, but I will try to do a new wave of invites tonight to everyone whom has messaged me. I get a ton of requests, so I try to do them in big batches. I have about 75 I need to do tonight. You'll probably see a notice saying that I've friended you and then defriended you, that means I did the invite. It takes forever to send messages to 75-100 people so I usually don't send a message confirming.

You should receive the invite within the next couple days, but sometimes people don't get it, as the preview program has some weird eligibility requirements; it's rare, though. You'll see the invite as a message in your inbox, then you can accept the invite from the message, and then download the preview program app.

He was told to contact titanfall. as if titanfall is a person that can respond
Raphael should've been like:

"Yes, sir. You need to contact Titanfall. Let me get them on the line. Wait. Your titan will be ready in 5 seconds. Okay. Stand by for Titanfall!"

It would've been more productive.

It's good to read that two other people have received a refund though. I guess you just need to try again with a different representative.

That's not Gunscape! Ah well, Volgarr seems pretty fun anyways and I would probably have gotten that at some point as well.

Both Viva Pinata and Guerrilla are great though, have them both so only one game for me this month.

I'm actually excited about trouble in Paradise. It's kind of hard to find and rather expensive in good condition so I haven't gotten around to picking it up. Too bad they didn't pair it with Shadowrun.

Huge disappointment this month. Never heard of Volgarr. Guerrilla is really good, but both that game and VP: Party Animals have been around $5 for physical copies literally for years. Then again, they did just give us Battlefield: BC 2, which retails for $1.99.

Well, I guess I can trade in the free copy of Guerrilla I had from way back when Darksiders 1 came out. Only played a little bit of it.

I didn't even know what Viva Pinata is, and after watching a couple minutes of gameplay on YouTube, I'm still not sure. Is it like a pet raising thing, like Kinectimals without the Kinect?

You're job is to raise a garden of piñata, but there are also ruffians on the island that want to fuck up your garden. As you get better piñata, harder (more annoying) ruffians will show up to ruffle some feathers. I think the last guy walks in and murders one of your piñata while breaking everything.

The game is great. Way better than Kinectimals. Much more stuff to do. Also has 4 player co-op.

Anyone have thoughts on that Slender game for $5? Reviews seem to be mixed, but $5 for such a recent release has me at least slightly tempted.

Couldn't get into Viva Pinata when I tried it; gave it a fair amount of time also. Good to see Red Faction, have it on disc, but now I won't have to open it.

Excited about Volgarr, looks like the retro game I hoped Chariot would be.  Although the single budget Xbox One GWG release a month is pretty underwhelming.  Guess there's lots of retail games to play in November but it could be better and add more value.

Huge disappointment this month. Never heard of Volgarr. Guerrilla is really good, but both that game and VP: Party Animals have been around $5 for physical copies literally for years. Then again, they did just give us Battlefield: BC 2, which retails for $1.99.
Exactly. I am glad their doing Volgarr just for something new.

But those two 360 games are really, really old. I was hoping with things like Darksiders II and Dishonored that they were keeping things better.

Oh well...

Come to think of it, it seems like 90% of Xbox One GWG have been sidescrollers. Time for a change. Was hoping for Gunscape but something like Outlast would even be good if they want "budget" titles over full retail releases.

Well shit, I'm happy with all the games. Volgarr sounds cool. I know I played Viva Pinata and Party Animals but don't quite remember if I played TIP. Loved the other two, so good choice for me. Red Faction Gueriila was fun as hell when it first came out so that's cool to get to play that again.

But seriously MS, stop with the one XB1 game bullshit. fucking pricks

I'm not complaining about the crappy free games.  Gives me more time to play Destiny and CoD:AW, and perhaps Assassin's Creed and Dragon Age if they go on sale during Black Friday.  :)

Crimson Dragon is now the permanent second game!

Excited to see Vulgar the Viking free. Was contemplating picking that up day one, but now I don't have too.

Am wondering though if it's actually coming out on Saturday or if it may be delayed a few days like Guacamelee was.

I always did want to play some Viva Pinata but no way in hell was I going to shell out $25-30 for a physical copy. Next month seems good.

I think I only miss one map, but I didn't complete them in Hardcore difficulty.
Yeah I would be down to run through all of em on hardcore. Add me on live my gt is "Blind Ragee"

That goes for anyone else interested, I'm sure we could run through all four one night.

Idk how I feel about volgarr being free. Was hoping for 2 games for x1. Excited about RF though.

Sounds like a decent month for GWG:

Never tried Viva Pinata so I'm looking forward to that. Is this the kind of game that requires Kinect?

Already own Red Faction but never finished it.

Vogarr sounds fun, but I don't have an Xbox One to enjoy it.

I don't think the Kinect was around when any of them were made.

No Kinect required, but vision camera is needed if you want to get all the Gamerscore.

Satan needs to put on his winter jacket, because I don't have either of the 360 games.

I was worried that it was the original Viva Pinata on GWG this month from all of the posts I skimmed over, but I'm glad it's the sequel since I already have the original on disc. The first is a scary time suck game that makes hours disappear, so I don't know if I actually want to play the sequel or not.

Anybody that doesn't know what Volgarr the Viking is and is a Giant Bomb Premium member, you should check out the Breaking Brad series on the game to see it in action. It's a punishing side-scrolling action platformer.

I think I have Red Faction Guerrilla in many forms already, so that's not a big addition for me even though it's a great game.

It's crazy that I was right about Microsoft wasn't going to make two games per month the standard on Xbox One and that they'd go up and down whenever they felt like it, though it's been more down than anything.

Oh, wait. Damn these worthless indie games or such and such. ;)

Wow, Volgarr.  I backed that on KS and tested it, but still manage to be bad at it, lol.  A lot like Ghosts and Goblins... I'm terrible at those, too.

I like that they are giving away a game that is expensive in disc format.

Maybe I'll go back and finish viva pinata 1 beforehand... Wait, who am I kidding? Destiny is still sucking my soul away!

Anyone recommend the Titanfall season pass? Probably picking up an x1 again Sunday.
I don't think it will go cheaper anytime soon. Maybe Christmas.

Viva Piñata looks like a simple kids game at first, similar to Kinectimals, but there is a lot more to it. Give it a chance if you've never played it before. Gotta catch em all

This. My backlog is hurting, and Destiny is leeching so much of my time that for once i am restraing myself from buying anything else.

Yes and no. Very good game but gets old fast. The DLC might extend its life but it's just a game that seems to wear down fast.

Kinda like Destiny. Great premise, great graphics, great sound, solid gameplay, but just gets stale so fast. And believe me, I'm used to grinds. I played WoW made grand Marshal, was in a top 100 guild for MC, BWL and Naxx. So I was hoping that destiny would be a grind. But no trading, nothing good to buy with glimmer, massive randomness (semi alright since all MMOs do this), and lack of class differences
