Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Price uncertainty has changed the game for us cheapass gamers. New games, and new consoles are dropping in price at a faster rate than ever before. Tis perhaps gamings golden age.

I really like these sales, a good way to increase the library of my new Xbox One. Finally picked up Killer Instinct season 1, with all these extras it would have been a shame not doing so, and just as I was going to get the Combo Breaker Pack for the same price. Good deal. Probably picking up Defense Grid 2 as well, I loved the first one and despite the price being kinda steep, I doubt it'll be any cheaper for a while. Also, BF4 Premium... just got the full game through EA Access so half price on Premium? Deal, most of my gaming friends have it so it's a win-win. The Destiny discount is ridiculously low, and while there's other solid stuff, most of it isn't really worth it when converted to the European marketplace. Still I'm satisfied. Gonna skip the 360 sales now I think, the best deals (Mirror's Edge, Bulletstorm, etc.) are games are already own or that I don't really care about. Now, if that 20$ Diablo 3 was on Xbox One...

I bet Dead Rising 3 and Ryse go cheap Friday and that's when I'll bite. Maybe Sunset Overdrive for $49.99 if lucky.
Sunset Overdrive was just $49.99 this last weekend for Gold members, I seriously doubt it will be discounted for BF a week later.

You know the sad thing, I'm still having trouble biting on KOA even though I wanted to buy the game when it came out. With the new system and AC V I'm almost through, AW and MCC along with a D3 coming I just don't know when I can sink another 50-100 hours into a previous gen game. Even if it is only $3...

Am I losing my CAG status?

GWG has ruined me. I want to buy Peggle 2 and Valiant Hearts but if I do those will probably be the next GWG in January.

Peggle will NOT be a GWG. It's an EA Access seller. Even if you are talking about getting it for Xbox 360, I would bet EA would say no because it would detract from One Access Sales.

Valiant Hearts may though. Probably Xbox One GWG if it does as the 360 has a large enough library of full games to give.

This is exactly why Sony says access is bad value. It steps on the subscriptions we pay for the actual online infrastructure and free games from Sony and Microsoft. It's like letting EA take any good titles you'd hoped for via PS+ or GwG and saying you'll pay extra for them to not let their good titles be reasonable for Microsoft and Sony to afford for their own services up against Access.

Except the odds of Madden, and Fifa being GWG is slim to none. I think the access vault is a great deal.

Since microsoft was all, game sharing is bad and we're going to make the xbox one do this etc. to prevent trade ins Before the great retraction, why not offer all digital game sales at or a little below black friday prices? I would gladly sit, download and spend my credit on there but only if it was a deal.

I keep waiting to go digital but retailers don't make it cag friendly.

No, Sony says access is bad value because they want people to use Sony's service instead. Capitalism.

EA never would put those games on GWG anyways. I don't think EA is a big fan of GWG. You notice even on 360 that EA doesn't like it.

Major Nelson confirmed, that these prices are valid until 1st December and more deals coming on black friday itself over the weekend:

Good. So far it looks like State of Decay and MAYBE Mirror's Edge for me. This is also a good excuse to revisit Gears of War. I wonder why Judgement was excluded from the sale.

I thought Oblivion sucked so I'm not touching Skyrim unless it's $5 or GWG material.

Not too dissimilar from HBO holding back their content from VOD services. They eventually relented to Amazon, but a 3 year delay on new content and no Game of Thrones still leaves some chips in HBO's pocket for when they launch their own service.

I'm disappointed with no Gears Judgment. Was hoping for sales on its VIP pass as well as BioShock Infinite's. Still have Friday and Monday ...

Too early to hope for the Borderlands Pre-Sequel pass to go on sale.

If its too good to be true buy it now haha. I'm looking at you UFC. I got the KI UE for now but want to see the rest of the deals during this week before I go apeshit.
I thought the same thing when the Titanfall season pass went on sale, so I bought it, and then a few hours later it was cheaper.

Anyhow, I was considering UFC, now I'm not, so at least they helped me make my decision.

Kinda weird that the $13.33 price is still showing on the main page thing for UFC if its not actually that price. Also weird that the sale price for Peggle 2 hasn't changed yet

Not at all. If EA had this deal with Sony, Sony would be claiming it's great value for people's money. Now, however, they will claim it's bad value yet they have Playstation Now which is ridiculously expensive for renting old games.

As for EA titles being available on PS+ or GwG, you'd never get any of the new sports titles put on there, unless you don't mind playing FIFA 11.

Any other places selling physical Diablo 3 UEE for Xbox One for this price or lower? or is this the best deal on it?
BB will have it for lower for $24 if GCU or $30 without for BF. If you was elite/elite+, you could have gotten it Monday. You could still get online at BB on Thursday

Speaking of which, do you know if Gears 2 has DBNO during campaign? For example, in Gears 3 and Judgement, you could get revived by your AI team-mates, but not in Gears 1. I played 2 a long time ago, and have the DLC for it that I never finished, and $5 seems like a good price for me to hop back onto it.

It's not included because the game is shit. Having said that, if it was available for $5-7, I'd buy it again just to have the whole collection again.

Anybody know why Amalur is 14gb on the ps3 but only 6gb on the 360?
This happened a lot this gen. Since PS3 Blurays can hold up to 50 gigs, multi-platform games usually either don't bother compressing their audio as much or occasionally use higher quality files instead.

I'm guessing Alumar is just not as compressed. Should be functionally the same, just pick which versions Trophies/Achievements you prefer or what's easier on space.

Yes, you just couldn't crawl around until Gears 3.

Okay, so I bought the Killer Instinct Ultra Pack, and I'm going to pick up Titanfall this weekend. I'm going to owe approximately an extra $5 to get Titanfall. Does the online store allow you to pay the exact difference of what you owe, or do they make you add currency in $5 and $10 increments?

Ill give you that PS+ had better games last gen, but this gen the only full release game that you have gotten is injustice. The rest have been indie and arcade. Even for last gen I can't remember any big EA games in the last year. Wasn't BF3 given free in like July or August, a couple months before bf4?

For Xbox it's been even more lackluster last gen with no full release games yet this gen

And like many others have said Sony turned down this service as it is in direct competition of its own service. Stating that they didn't see the value at its release when they had 3 AAA games that cost $20each during the best sale price along with Peggle was absurd.

You can pay the exact amount. They stopped the increments when Microsoft Points were removed.

I'm glad to hear that there are more games coming to the sale - there had to be; too little Xbox One games shown now.

But I wish we knew what the games and prices were in advance so that we could plan our shopping accordingly.

(We already know Best Buy's prices, Walmart's prices, Microsoft Store's prices, etc.)

Tempted to just buy Diablo 3 for XOne on the Marketplace even though it will be $5 cheaper for disc version. I still have around $26 in credit in my Xbox account, which will expire next June iirc.

Well there will be more deals later this week, right? Maybe something else will catch my eye. What has been the lowest price on Marketplace for PvZ Garden Warfare for XOne?

If you attatch a credit/debit/paypal you just pay the exact remaining balance

The Xbox.com Black Friday countdown apparently briefly had this weekend's XB1 sales up early this morning. Someone managed to get a screen grab and started another topic.

I need to quit my job to play all these games.
Good luck. I got laid off back in August. I thought I could burn through some of my backlog while enjoying my severance / unused vacation pay. Then FXX's SImpsons marathon happened. Bought a laptop to help with the job search - free Windows 8 games with achievements. New TV season. Borderlands Pre-Sequel. Smash Bros. Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire. My backlog is worse now than back in the summer. Least I'll be starting a new job in the next couple weeks, so I'll have the money to buy more games, and perhaps an XB1, but even less time to play them. Ah, first world problems.

I think lowest was like $21.xx. I traded in my disc version to purchase it during that sale as GS gave me $24 for the disc

Man, console backlogs are nothing... Steam sale is coming, which means my PC game backlog grows some more.

i just hope before i die gabe allows you to split your steam library up so I can give my favorite granddaughter most of it and that inevitable bratty douchebag grandson a copy of rats
