Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

The Deals with Gold page has updated for XB1 with PvZ: Garden Warfare 66% off and Peggle 2 60% off.  PvZ isn't discounted yet, already bought Peggle 2 a couple weeks ago so I don't know if that price is live.

The page also has the Alien Invasion DLC for Worms Battlegrounds as 33% off, but $4.99 to $3.99 is 20% off.  That was up on the page when Metro was up earlier this morning, so it may be a Games with Gold related sale.

I believe the Worms DLC has been on since the game went free since I saw it discounted several days ago.

Pretty meh.

Nailed it.

Just finished up with customer support. Sale should be up by later today or tomorrow. Support had no idea what the game would be.

Tried telling me this weeks sale was Metro...

Did you actually spend time contacting support just to find out about sale items that should last all week? You may want to re-think your priorities and/or spending addiction.

Took me 5 minutes. Probably the same amount of time you wasted while thinking up what to say to me....and now I'm here replying to you wasting my time again.

Maybe both of our priorities should be re-thought?

I was also asking about a case that was escalated in October, and not taken care of, as of yet. That was the main reason I was contacting them if you must know.

I'm not trying to make you feel bad or insult you. I just see a lot of people (myself included) act pretty irrationally about sales and deals. And, yes, my priorities are just as messed up as you or anyone else that regularly visits this site. :)

I figured more people would be interested in Garden Warfare since, IIRC, this is the lowest price it's ever been. I'm not a fan of "online only required" gameplay but for $10, I think it's very reasonable. I wish Destiny was that low to start.

This week's selection is good unless you have them already. Bejeweled 3 and Zuma's Revenge are the best of the bunch IMO. The first Zuma is too hard after a while but the boss battles and leveling system in the sequel is a lot more fun.   Bejeweled has lots of modes compared to 2 which can take hours to master.

And I still don't get the appeal of Peggle. Call me old fashioned but I'd rather play Arkanoid.

Am I the only one that thinks this 'date night' crap is just not funny and has really worn out being said every fucking week!!
Hey, you take that back. Calling us all sad and worn out isn't cool man. We're all just a bunch of lonely strangers drifting through this world trying to feel a little bit of a sale to sustain us against the cold march of time as death taps on the window.

Gotta say, its WAY lame that MS only gave away Episode 1 for The Raven. That has to be the cheapest move I have seen yet on the whole free games front, on both PS+ and Xbox Live Gold. The entire game is only $6.24 right now on Steam. Just a cheapo move if I have ever seen one. So so lame, lol.

MS has had some really great sales thus far this holiday season. Unfortunately, I have to pass on all of the on demand games as I just don't have the hard drive space and having to buy flash sticks for the games really ruins a lot of the deals. You basically have to add 3-4 bucks to the price of each game. As much as I have loved my 360, I will not miss the total nightmare that hard drive space became for this console. Such a shame as there really have been some amazing deals I would have taken advantage of. I did pick up Pac Man Museum. Too bad there wasn't a sale on any of the pinball tables for The Pinball Arcade. Wound up paying full price for Season 1's tables.

Ohh Popcap..good thing I got them all ages ago. On top of that PvZ garden Warfare was given out free to PS4 people (without having PS+= along with Mirror's Edge (PS3) and Need for Speed Most Wanted (Vita). I don't even own a Ps3/Ps4 (yet) but I still got them lol..just in case...

Anyway the Countdown Sale is around the corner, hopefully some DLC will make it there. I buy less and less Games on my 360 and keep focusing on PC evenb though I have about 300 digital games to play and around 100 physicals on my 360..probably even more...

like Read Dead Redemption GOTY, Skyrim GOTY, LA Noire GOTY, Borderlands 2 GOTY and so many more not even started lol..it's actually sad.

So I was thinking of getting Garden Warfare until I saw Sony's offering and decided to spend the $10 on Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate Edition instead.

Right now I have $9 saved up for this Christmas sale you guys are talking about so hopefully I get the chance to use those funds.

Anyone have any suggestions for a wireless over-the-ears stereo headset for the 360? A mic would be good but isn't 100% necessary. Same for the ability to use the headset with a computer. Hoping to spend $40 or less.

I like the Turtle Beach X11's myself. Nothing revolutionary, but great for the price. $36 on amazon right now. Mic/PC compatibility too.

I just want to throw it out there since we're starting to get hyped up for the holiday countdown sales to the New Year......we still haven't gotten any kind of confirmation this is gonna happen again.

Sure, sales/promotions in the past that happened annually have come up again like the Black Friday deals, but others haven't. Remember Summer of Arcade or even the huge Back to School sales? Didn't happen this year. MS is focusing more on the Xbox One and perhaps there won't be any countdown to New Years sales. I hate to suggest it might not happen, but the day will come when there will be no countdown sales for the 360. Just hope it isn't this year.

Are there any that aren't wired at all? For my PS3 I have a set of headphones that use a usb dongle to get the audio signal. That's it. No wires, no mucking about with the audio output cables. Just a usb dongle and a pair of headphones. Is there anything like that for the 360 at all?

I'm hosting a Twitch stream tonight at 8pm Central (6 Pacific, 9 Eastern) for 2 hours tonight, featuring two Japanese Xbox One games: Puyo Puyo Tetris and Onigiri. We're giving out two Titan One accessories and several Xbox gift card codes as prizes. Please check it out if you can.

I had plans to lay in the dark thinking about nothing for a few hours tonight before going to sleep. I might cancel that and watch instead.

PvZ on XB1 is tempting, but I've been thinking of diving back into EA Access for a full year after trying it for a month and canceling it. Honestly seems crazy to buy any game that's in the "Vault" when it only costs $30 for a full year of access to all of them.

Definitely tempting on XB1 or 360 for only $10 bucks, does all the 360 DLC that is free come with the XB1 version?

Wait a minute... It's $10 on Xbox One??? My backlog is killing me, but I've been waiting for an Xbox One price drop on this...

Yeah it is $13.20 in US.

I watched it too, but I hate watching Paul. He always plays fun looking games every time he streams. He should play something boring and not fun instead. At least tonight one the games was f2p. I should be able to sleep with a full stomach tonight. Next time maybe he can play paint drying simulator.

Thanks guys! Was great having you and Metal in the stream chat. Bob, you shoulda pointed our exactly who you were. I'm not a detective! Well, Saturday I'm playing Sixty Second Shooter Prime and Nutjitsu. One of those games is maybe less than super exciting. But it's always a blast when we have a cool crowd and plenty of prizes to give away. :)

Anybody have a few minutes free to help me boost for Thorn in Rumble? I'm boosting with one person right now but I think we could get it done in just a couple of matches with more people.

I'm like last weeks south park ep, I just don't understand or see the appeal of watching other people play games.
I didn't at first but now, for me, it's like an extended demo reel with commentary from a fellow player who's opinion I respect. (more so than a dev or pub who isn't likely to be honest about shortcomings )

Did you ever sit on the couch with your friends and take turns playing a game?

In a way it's like we all have one big couch now, we just can't physically rib one another.

I would only do it if I'm stuck at a certain part and need to find a way through. I wouldn't watch an entire game unless it's a really old game on a NES, SNES, etc. which I have done a couple of times with the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN).

But with a new release title from the very beginning?! Hell no.

I finally tried Defiance. I understand now the comparisons with Destiny.

To me it's like going to a fancy restaurant of auteur dishes, and you order a steak and they bring a huge empty dish with a tiny piece of raw meat with some sauce in form of foam. Well presented, but you leave the table with both your stomach and your wallet empty. That's Destiny. On the contrary, a full dish of a steak dipped into gravy with french fries, eggs and vegetables from an average restaurant, leaves you satisfied, a dish without pretension that gets the job done. That's Defiance.

I've not sat and taken turns playing a game since probably the ancient NES days of Dr Mario, and it wasn't fun...lol...if I remember right it usually ended up with whoever was not playing getting up and doing something else till your turn came. Watching other people play is about as exciting as watching paint dry, for me anyway...heh.

The only reviewer I can really take is Angry Joe, if it was just him playing for an hour and talking while playing I wouldn't watch. He does actually have a few like that and I've never clicked on them.

Check out the video "Let's Play GTA 5 with Coco Peru" on YouTube, if all play videos were like that one I might watch more...lol.

Is Defiance worth a 16+GB install though? That's my question. Was going to try it, downloaded the main game, ran it, patch install of 6gb...OK. That completes then another patch download starts...5gb...heck with that, only have a 20gb HD. Would like to play it though.

Edit...never mind...the 20gb HD only actually has 13.8 GB total free anyway, I can't do an install of Defiance...emptied my HD for nothing...ugh...lol

Well the only thing you can waste is time since the game is free as you know. If you have time then go through all the updates and try it. Or watch some videos first to know what type of game you are facing. If the game worths or not is quite subjective. It's a MMO so only that is a rarety on consoles. Download it or not you should get at least an USB device to give that 20GB HD some ways. :joystick:

With the 360's lifecycle winding down, I would think they would try to liquidate every thing they can. A countdown to new year sale would be a good move.

I feel the same and was really confused when it was announced that a Twitch App was coming to the Xbox 360, and then to the Xbox One for personal game streaming. I just couldn't understand why anyone would buy, turn on and use their video game console to watch other people play.

I just hate watching other people play. I tend to shout at others in real life after their prolonged awful gameplay because of how bad most people are at games; missing enemy footsteps, screams, gunshots, not being aware of objectives being captured or destroyed, seriously missing an enemy that ran right by them yet they somehow didn't see them. It just makes me want to grab their controller and take over to spare their teammates.

But I watch pornography on the internet and I guess someone could logically ask why I just don't go out and have sex with people instead. Hmm...

I don't necessarily hate watching other people play games. It can be awesome in some cases (Game Center CX!). What I don't understand is the phenomenon of people like Pewdiepie becoming these huge celebrities with a following of millions of people. Every time I've tried to watch one of the big-name Let's Play guys to see what the fuss is about, I can stand it for about five minutes. Kinda makes me feel old. :p

I know there's been a lot of talk in the past of the "super-fun awesome-time" CAGs have had with PvZ, but can anyone speak from a non-hardcore FPS point of view...? I haven't really enjoyed FPS (especially not multiplayer) since the PS2 era, is there any hope I would enjoy Garden Warfare, or nah?

EDIT: I'm looking to grab the X1 sale this week, not the 360, if that matters.

Is the learning curve just a vertical wall and you sink or swim? (Ooh, mixed metaphors, that's how you know I'm desperate for answers.)

I'm really hating the X1's utter lack of demos, I mean, who are we these days, Sony?
