Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Should one play the 3rd borderlands game (prequel) before playing tales from the borderlands? For references and such as you mentioned.
I haven't played pre-sequel yet, waiting for X1 version, and was able to understand most of it. There were a few characters that looked like they would be references that I didn't recognize
Near the start of the game you visit a taxidermy museum type place and there are some characters stuffed. I think one of them was a boss from Borderlands 2. One of them is a character from BL2 DLC. Then I think there are a couple more that I didn't remember

I also liked how fast paced this one was compared to TWD and TWAU. They take out most of the frustrating running around looking at everything. You can still do that, but the correct way to go is much more obvious. They were able to make the game feel like a Borderlands game.

Telltales TWD...I wanted to feed the kid to the zombies...also not a fan of the show, so didn't enjoy ep1 at all. Wolf...never read the comics so not interested in the game. Same with GoT...hated the show, no interest in the game. Borderlands, love the real games, not sure about the Telltale version. The walking dead game kind of put me off actually paying for anything Telltale puts out.
I just finished TWAU. Didn't know what to expect while playing the first ep. Dat ending doe. C'mon. At the end of the first episode, I was totally in. Maybe I like murder mysteries more :/

I think you have to have big boy emotions to enjoy the Walking Dead games, so that you gain connections to characters, make life or death decisions. For the Wolf Amongst Us You have to like fantasy and storytelling and/or had a childhood where someone read to you so you can say, oh that's Georgie Porgie, etc. I'd suggest Pac-man for an in depth gamer such as yourself.

Big boy=making connections with fake things. I remember the when I was just a big boy aged 6, thanking Santa for that years gifts.

Grabbed Styx this morning. It has been on my list since the games release.
Now give me a sale on Geometry Wars Dimensions and Never Alone.

So you as an adult make no connection to the plight of hobbits? The emotion of an angry Liam Neeson returning his wife to safety? You sit in every movie, read every book and respond as an emotionless, dumbass robot clueless to the characters goals, intents or rooting for their failure or success?

Do you also torture small animals?

Have loved all the episodic TellTale games. Didn't know anything about Borderlands before playing Tales from...and absolutely loved it. I always kind of assumed they were really an old school gamer kinda thing, harkens back to the point and click days.

Is the X1 version of Marvel Super Heroes showing for anyone else as $19.99 instead of $9.90?  I have xbox live gold, grabbed Lego Batman 1 & 2 for the sale price, but on the X1 and the Live website can't get the Marvel sale price to show.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

The 360 and XB1 sales don't always end at the same time. During the daily countdown sales, the XB1 sales would end hours before the 360 ones did. The Gold price for Lego Marvel still shows on the web for the 360, but some of the other 360 games are in the middle of transitioning back, and XBLDB picked up what appears to be price drops on some of them.

The Lego Movie Videogame - $19.99 - 33% off - xbldb
Lego Star War: The Complete Saga - $19.99 - 33% off - xbldb
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - $39.99 - 20% off - xbldb

So you as an adult make no connection to the plight of hobbits? The emotion of an angry Liam Neeson returning his wife to safety? You sit in every movie, read every book and respond as an emotionless, dumbass robot clueless to the characters goals, intents or rooting for their failure or success?

Do you also torture small animals?
Sounds like he has certainly tipped his fedora

Telltales TWD...I wanted to feed the kid to the zombies...also not a fan of the show, so didn't enjoy ep1 at all. Wolf...never read the comics so not interested in the game. Same with GoT...hated the show, no interest in the game. Borderlands, love the real games, not sure about the Telltale version. The walking dead game kind of put me off actually paying for anything Telltale puts out.
the walking dead gets much better with each episode, saying it's bad after the first is like saying a movie is bad after the first 15 minutes

That's exactly who I thought of when I saw those bands.
I doubt he's into Ninja Turtles at all. You guys are confusing sweat bands, which are worn during workouts, with wristbands, which are worn like a watch simply for fashion purposes. They come in all manner of designs and licensed properties, and can be a fun way to accessorize. :p

Have loved all the episodic TellTale games...... I always kind of assumed they were really an old school gamer kinda thing, harkens back to the point and click days.
same here. I loved the walking dead much more than WOU though. it actually got me interested in the show. also got all the Telltale games for $1 during that PSN flash sale a while back and don't regret it.
guess I just like that slower paced gaming like the classic RPGs FF6, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG.

Yeah but I do know whether or not I'll want to keep watching that movie after ten minutes.
TWD game has several things I don't care for in games. Lil miss pouty face is one. Not fond of children in real life, not fond of them in games, def not fond of having whatsername pouting at me every time I lied or made a choice she didn't understand. I didn't much like expiring choices, choose A or B in ten seconds or the choice goes away. And the button mashing was a pain. A,A,A,A to pull open a door or kick away a zombie.
Borderlands might have interested me but since it's Telltale I'd be expecting more expiring choices and button mashing. I watched a short gameplay vid that showed both mechanics still there in the game.
I thought about buying Tales when it was just on sale but I just know I'm not going to like another Telltale game.

I have a really nooby question, that has probably been asked before, but I'm pretty new to this site so I'll ask anyway.

If I were to buy another hard drive for my 360 (so that I have 2 that I will use) do I need a transfer cable (does that just make it easier?), or is it as easy as downloading/redownloading games to the new hard drive?

I just want to know before I go ahead and get one if that will be all I need or if there is more to it. Any help is appreciated.

For me, I have several hard drives. I have one I strictly play off of - downloading and deleting games as I play. I have a couple of others I use strictly for storage for when the servers go down.

Looks like someone is trying to get Jillian Michael's abs. heh

RE 1 Remaster pre-order page is up on x1. 14 gb unlocks at 3am est on 1/20.  Console versions are 1080p 30 fps.

Redownload to the new drive. But if you have the games in one, why would you want to have them in both drives? I have 3 HDD's and know which games are in each one, so I change the HDD's depending of the games I want to play. IMO is a waste of space have the same games in differents HDD's unless it's a fetish game that you always keep playing often, in which case you would like to use the cloud as a storage device for your save file.

Speaking of cloud saves, once, when it first got offered, I had some saves that I uploaded to the cloud. Not long after I stopped using it, and disabled it on my Xbox. Even though it's disabled, games deleted and redownloaded over time, even with a different HD, I still get asked on those certain games if I want to use cloud saves. Any way to fix it so it stops asking?

I don't mean that I want to keep a game on both hard drives. I guess I should have worded my post better about the "redownloading". What I meant is games I've deleted before, and may want to redownload later, on the new hard drive. Or if for whatever reason they may not be able to be moved or something.

Much like you said you do. I want to keep different games on both hard drives so I have access to more games and all I have to do is switch them out.

No idea, I never had that problem. AFAIK, if the system has the cloud on, it always asks you if you wish to save through the cloud or the HDD, but if you have the cloud disabled, it shouldn't ask that question.

Maybe it has something to do with the memory cache?

Ok. I don't even worry to transfer my profile from one HDD to another, since I've noticed that if you are online, the console automatically download it to your new drive if the achievements don't match (in case you unlocked new ones). BUT, you'll have to download system updates in each one of the HDD's you own.

Oh, and you can redownload any games previously purchased to the new drive without problems.

Looks like someone might've been asleep at the XBL Rewards switch for at least the 2nd half of December, maybe longer.  Been going through their forums, and XBLRewards tags are currently following up on (and locking) topics from Dec 16-18.  Some have been people wondering when things would deposit, like the reward for buying the Halo MCC, with them saying the credits have been awarded (presumably back dated).

One question that was posted and actually answered today that is probably relevant (and disappointing) for many here (including myself) is that game bundles that include a season pass don't count toward the season pass mission.

Someone asked earlier today about the season pass progress bar updating.  That one's currently 7-8 pages deep into the forum list, so there might be an older one that will get a response sooner.

I bought a couple DLCs for Battlefield 2 back in October when it was GwG and never received the bonus credits.  Someone posted about buying Red Faction DLC when it was GwG in November and was told credits will show as pending by the end of the week.  Hopefully their responses apply to everyone and they just aren't following up on the accounts for the people that posted.  If I don't have credits pending by the end of the week, guess I'll have to post and hope they'll get to it by the end of the month.

The January survey I completed on the first hasn't posted credits yet, either.

I watched Stallion83 stream just about the whole game Funk of the Titans and it looked like a fun platformer with a fairly easy achievement list. I'd like to see more games like this around that $9 mark.

What a non-surprise. Now let's see if the bar updates so I can see if the FH2 car pass counted.

Did you delete your saves from the cloud before disabling it? If not, it might be worth it to enable cloud saving, then browse what's saved there and detele anything residing and then go ahead and disable cloud saving again.

If you had already, then I've got nothin.'

Anyone know why I can't request a deposit on xbl rewards ? I have 15 k points depending since November and I can't request deposit

I got my MCC deposit on 12/11/14, got deposited on the 17th. Definitely haven't had any GwG deposits, but pretty sure I haven't put in whatever the required hours are on those games.

That's what it was! Enabled it, deleted the saves, disabled it, and now nothing pops up asking about cloud saves on those games. Thanks!
