My kids probably like it more than me, but I still like to mess around with it sometimes. It's basically digital LEGO. Build whatever you want.

Now it seems LEGO will be coming out with their own Minecraft type of game called LEGO Worlds. Looks pretty good so far. It is currently only available on Steam. $14.99 for early access. Hope it comes to Xbox.

If that is your way of apologizing, it is rather long and convoluted. It takes only five keystrokes for 'sorry' - saves time and effort :)

 
Can someone please send me an invite to the preview program?  I know about the delays in them coming from Microsoft but figure its worth a shot.

Also, does anyone know how I can view what games I've claimed digitally?  Basically trying to see a list online of what I have from games with gold, as well as if I redeemed my code for ODST on the xbox one.

Does anyone if Destiny is still up for Cross-Buy ? I checked the thread, and it says it still was as of June when it was supossed to have expired since January. I'm asking since I finally decided to upgrade, and this could make or break it, also, is it worth to buy the Kinect version ? Or should I go for a Kinectless One ?

I guess I need to pick up Borderlands at GameStop for $5 before they jack the price.

Anyway, I know MS had maybe the shittiest launch in terms of public perception and initial policies but I am not regretting one bit buying my X1 first.  Someday I will own both but for now I could not be happier with how MS is handling the X1.

Hard to tell if you should go for Kinect or not with the dashboard getting a big change soon. They've been slowly making the Kinect not as necessary, but it is still very helpful. Most complaints of the current dashboard involve having trouble finding certain things. With Kinect, you just say "Xbox go to ...." and it takes you there. Some games take advantage of it as well. I think EA has had the most support for it. NFS Rivals for example is a pain in the ass to play online without a Kinect if you don't know the map well because you can't pause the game to set a waypoint. With Kinect you just say something like "GPS Safe house" and no pausing required. Skyrim on 360 did something similar to this that made the game much better.

Xbox One Kinect is much better than 360 Kinect. Not required, but will increase your enjoyment of the console.

Nope, you can see from your 360 if your games are Xbox One-compatible. It's part of the new 360 preview update, along with activity feed (taken from the Smartglass/Xbox app I guess) and the ability to see what Xbox One gamers are playing (instead of a generic "Xbox One").

Of course after testing the 360 dashboard since 2010 they didn't invite me to the preview program :p

It was still working in april when I redeemed mine (bought Season Pass at launch though), I think cross-buys still works since most of them were confirmed as working way past the expiration date (I bought 360 BF4 Premium in June and was able to redeem the X1 version for free on the website).

I have a code I can sell but I don't know if it still works, it comes from my italian limited edition copy, I'll check if it expired once I get home.

I know that I'm in the minority on this one, but I don't consider multiplayer to be a requirement for every single game ... even if it is a genre that lends itself to MP. I don't ever touch MP on any game, really. I don't have the time to invest in MP getting skilled enough to be able to be competitive. I'm sure there are many other working CAGs w/ families who are in the exact same boat. And I gather that I'm not the only one who feels this way, what with Ass Creed Sydicate going SP only and the increase in bite-sized games being released. All seeming to market to the 1st gen gamers who are getting older.

Predictably, the DLC disc didn't read in my :xb1:. The game disc installed fine though.
I think it is safe to assume that any complete/GOTY/legendary/ultimate 360 games that have a second install disc, won't work. If it's all on a single disc, should be fine, I presume...

I am a 1st gen gamer with a family, and I agree with everything you said except that sports games (including racing) really need that component. Whether I suck or not is irrelevant, I want to be able to play against a person once in awhile, not just the cpu.
 
I used to hate MP until Titanfall. That game changed my whole mindset towards competitive gaming. I just don't like when MP is shoehorned into traditionally SP games like Tomb Raider, BioShock, and Arkham Origins. But games like Battlefield 4 and Battlefront? Shit yeah, let's go to war.


Also, PSA: Celtic Force is about to become the 3rd gamer to hit the 1,000,000 GS mark and he's streaming it on Twitch right now.
 
I like multiplayer, but it just takes a long time to be good enough to compete. I can only play one game at a time and by the time I get the learning curve, I'm on to something else.

Gaming in your 30's is rough against these kids with nothing else to do. I'm getting destroyed in GoW UE lol
