Not saying the other 'toys-to-life' games don't encourage additional purchases, but Lego Dimensions seems to section off important areas behind needing additional figures. Thankfully, Skylanders seems to have taken a reduced approach to this with the latest game (Superchargers) since you just need one of each vehicle type to access everything (that I've seen so far, except for some 'bonus' races in the hub that are random and appear to just give credits).

Has anyone had issues with Frozen? We're losing levels in between sessions. Recently had to replay 6 levels that it said hadn't been completed.

I gave up on Frozen - it's more frustrating past a certain point than was good for my stress level ;)

Had it just been a Frozen Bejeweled clone (i.e. - not free to play) and been $10 or so, that would have been better. Unfortunately, they cloned Farmville and Candy Crush...<sigh>

The first Overlord was really fun, so I'll consider this one if reviews are decent.

From what I've read both games allow you to play the entire story with just the base set of toys. If you want to do optional stuff, it costs extra. Unfortunately LEGO has a bunch of great optional stuff compared to the other toy games.

I've also heard people having problems with losing progress in Frozen. I haven't ran into that problem yet on Xbox One (on lvl 70 something). The game is nothing like Farmville lol, but the Candy Crush example is good. You cannot play the game like Bejeweled and randomly make matches with little strategy. Frozen is more of a puzzle game. The board doesn't change with each attempt as long as you don't exit the game. Learn where pieces are going fall to learn what to break next time. Take your time to choose the best match that will hell the most.

Timed levels are a bit different. You can play those exactly like Bejeweled and get 2-3 stars easily.

Frozen becomes a pain in the ass around level 15 when the timers kick in. I think they've failed to realize how much slower a controller input is for a match 3 game than touch when they made this port.

 
I don't think its possible to get past level 38 or 40 ( forgot which one) without spending money. You have to clear 70 red blocks and 70 blue blocks along with breaking all the iced tiles....in 20 moves. Bullshit.
 
I love the LEGO games but I am not spending a few hundred to play everything in LEGO dimensions.  

I rented Mad max yesterday with a free Redbox code.  Game is very nice looking and fun so far.  The controls are still not nearly as intuitive as i would like after playing for 6 hours.  I keep shooting my gun when I do not want to and bullets are scarce right now.  I will eventually buy it unless I can beat it with some free codes down the road.  Biggest thing I did not like where the number of 2, 3 and 8 gamerscore early on the have messed up my number.

the gameart issue been bugging for a while, it's becoming quite irritating when I'm opening 'my games' and pictures are missing: *I'm online,..right? Then why in the fvck it feels like I'm offline.

Mad Max is fantastic. One of my favorite games in the past few months. If you follow me on XBL, you can see I am constantly taking glorious screenshots. :) IDGAFOS about the achievement score thing, but I can see how it would irk some people.

I definitely like the game. It does scratch that large map, do what you want itch and although it can be repetitive the actual design of the world makes every base and scavenge location pretty unique and interesting to explore. I think it might be a game I need to own because there is so much to do I feel a little overwhelmed on a rental.

 
I love how when I first started playing Gears Remastered's MP I was total and utter butt cheeks at it...I'm now level 40 and getting 8-12 kills a match normally.  You need real skill to hang in this game. Battlefield 4 was the toughest to compete at skillwise imo, Gears is right up there.

 
For some reason Max decided to run off a tall building and die at the end of a combo 3 times in a row. Returned it to Redbox. I really liked the camera mode, but that's about it.

It's not the same genre as those games. It's a Toys-to-Life game. The whole point of its existence is that buying the Lego sets unlocks stuff in the game.

It is pretty annoying. Not sure why game art is so hard to get right myself. It should just be packaged as part of the game and always be available. Not sure why Microsoft wants us to be online just to show an icon. When it does not work it makes the whole interface apppear to be broken.

Unlocking new levels is fine and dandy, but Dimensions still retains the gameplay of previous lego games. Except now instead of progressing through the game and/or spending studs to unlock a character that can destroy a specific barrier to get a gold brick, you now have to pay real money for it.
 
It is like DLC. You still get the same amount of content (maybe more) with the base game. If you want a little more then buy more. Plus you get a toy you can give to your cats. I find the Lego games get boring about halfway through and I'm looking forward to seeing if spending a little time in each universe instead of the whole game being one will keep the game feeling fresh.
 
Finally got my r6 beta code from the fucktards at ubishaft.

I'm going to be contacting the consumerist to see if they want to do an article on my experience with the retards working for customer support at ubi.

Farsight has some serious issues with MS for some reason. There are issues with the 360 version as well. My X1 tables have been fine so far, but I've been manually quitting the game everytime afterward. Not sure if that will work for you though.

The issue is not that the dlc is adding content, but the fact that content like being able to get collectibles such as gold bricks are behind a paywall now. That is what I'm not okay with.
 
I tried playing rainbow six siege twice so far, both times I left it for 20 mins to find a match and never found one. Wasn't planning to buy this game anyways and the beta has convinced me not to for sure.
 
I wasn't planning on buying Rainbow Six Seige, but as soon as I realized the beta wasn't perfect and I couldn't actually play it to see if I like it I'm for sure not getting it.

Any time I click save game and turn it off when I come back all high scores, table goals, and challenges are reset back to never played. I can not get any achievements then since you have to have top scores on all tables....sucks.

Someone doesn't follow the devs on Twitter. ;-)

This beta is specifically to test matchmaking issues. If you do not connect to a game w/in 90 seconds, you need to back out and retry or it will just hang.
