There is no way Ori is going on sale anytime soon, right? I wanted to get it day one; but, I had to disconnect my XB1 and store it away because of various reasons. I have been waiting to connect it back on and I want to get Ori right before that. Just checking if there is any reasonable chance of it going on sale in the next 1-2 weeks. :)

If any of you experts get the feeling - based on the smell in the air or the wind direction - that it is set to go on sale, do let me know please.

I dont care for a sale on that game - I will gladly pay full price - but I will definitely feel salty, especially since I didnt get it right away, if it goes on sale the day after I buy it (it's still not guaranteed that it wont happen, I know).

Highly doubt it will go on sale seeing as how it's successful and "new'.

Get it now. 100% worth it and I dont like platformer/metroidvania style games.

ON a side note...someone randomly gave me a AC Unity X1 key. Is it worth the 40gb install?

I have been meaning to get it since it was announced - like I said, I dont have my XB1 with me for a while now and I wanted to buy it first thing I get my XB1 back.

They'll probably phase out Games with Gold eventually and new games will obviously dry up within 2 years, but I doubt they'll kill XBL for 360 entirely for a long time. It would cause too big of a backlash, way bigger than XB Prime shutting down. And the 360 clearly isn't holding anything back for Xbone, not like the original XBL supposedly was.

As far as the rest of your comment, I don't think most of the people here are graphics whores. Better graphics =/= good game, and if you really feel that way you should just switch to PC since literally every game looks better there, or even PS4 since a lot of games are still running at a higher resolution on it.

 
I have my Xbox one in my living room on my big TV and my 360 in my bedroom on a 32 inch tv. Its nice to lay in bed and play these free GWG games and backlog games but out in my living room is where I want the new hotness.

Advanced Warfares campaign looks nice on a big 1080p TV but some games I'm not sure they are significantly better looking than the 360. They seem to run smoother though.

I'm weird. I hate playing on a couch or bed. I play on my computer screen (24in) which is next to my TV. I dual monitor with my internet of the left, whatever I'm gaming on in the middle. 40 inch tv to the right always on -.-

I also love playing my games in a computer chair

Go to the PS4 thread, they would rather have a 5 hour 1080p game than an actual good game. While Microsoft did drop the ball when it came to graphics, the Xbox One is much better than the 360 in that department. I just cant wait till Halo 5.

Same here. I just upgraded to a ASUS 27 inch monitor and its perfect. I thought my 24 inch Dell was good. When I play multiplayer, I cant play at same level if playing on a plasma or lcd tv. When I got my 360 back in 2007 I used to play on a 17 inch Dell monitor over the vga cables and would kick ass on Halo 3. No input lag at all, I kinda miss the vga hookup cause it could do 1080p.

 
No way 360 goes completely offline in 2016. Kill off new games, sure. Get rid of 360 GWG, probably. But they won't shut off multiplayer for years yet and they sure as hell would not make your purchased games unavailable that early. That would be a worse move than the always-on Xbone fiasco. MS can be stupid, but they aren't that stupid.

Adding to others who seriously doubt it will go on sale, I think it's a bargain even at $19.99 because it's already at the top of the heap for my GoTY list att this point. And I have a PS4 with Bloodborne and Ori still is my favorite. Awesome gameplay, amazing graphics and an emotional bond like few other games come close to achieving.

Just buy it!!!
 
Ori is destined to be a free game in the future.

But like a year or so from now.  Maybe one of those Christmas surprises.

I'm holding out for a discount of some kind.

I don't know if I'd say either system is doing well as far as exclusives yet. Xbone certainly doesn't have anything stand out. Of course that's all subjective.

Great for you if you're excited for Halo 5, but as a long time Halo fan, one whose gone to a few long distance LAN parties with my community, I've got to say the majority of us have lost a lot of interest.

Only going by mainline games (not all the questionable side stuff with mobile games/books/comics), I've lost pretty much all faith in 343/Microsoft.

-They broke a lot of Reach with their Title Updates after taking over. Stuff like the great balance between DMR/Magnum/AR dead, improperly functioning shield bleedthrough, and a bunch of other stuff.

-Halo 4 was a mess from a combination of taking ideas from the competition and trying to make their own stamp on Halo leading to a lot of odd choices and cut features. Overall the biggest crime was the dramatically reduced options for customizations with tons of gametypes missing, and only a couple added.

-MCC came out and remained a broken mess for quite some time.

Aside from that, it's even worse in my eyes since so much of their content is outsourced. I'd be fine if this was a one off like Bungie did, but it's not.

-"343's" Reach maps while good were made by Certain Affinity.

-1 and 2 Anniversary by Saber

-cutscenes and terminals by two separate companies

-All the games ported to Xbone are by a different company

-MCC having like 6 poorly coordinated companies on board, of which 343's only real job was supervising.

 
I played Child of Light last night and it's pretty fun. The pool game on the other hand I do not like it. The A.I on easy manages to hit all of the balls into the pockets in 2 turns and that's just the first game in career mode.

That's also a reason why I only get them physically and cheap, don't want to spend money on something digitally, from which I know I will never look at it again after the 1000/1000...

I remember playing a pool game before called Side Pocket.  The AI seem to hit all the balls in and it was challenging.  But beating the AI was so rewarding.  Same goes with Powerstar Golf, the AI is good but it's so rewarding beating the machines!

When the 360 launched in 2005 they killed support for xbl on the original xbox in 2010. X1 was released in 2013, and if history repeats itself, then 2018 is when xbl for 360 is gone. Its nearing 2016, which means 2 years left shortly after. MS can choose when to do away with it at any time though, which means you dont know how long your digital games on 360 will last, but what you do know for certain, is that your god or arcade games will lose their value entirely very soon. I made a choice that If I were to, I would only buy physical releases for 360, and as far as arcade games I only buy from the x1 marketplace, and no more on 360. They will stop releasing new games next year, and companies who make the games will stop online support maybe even sooner than MS stops support for xbl all together. Square is already gonna stop support for their ff online in march 2016. You don't really have a choice if you want to play a game and it's available in digital format only, but if they are available physical then at least you have a choice to get back money u spent on it vs getting no money back at all when ms decides when its all over.

Individual games may have servers shut down, I don't see XBL on the 360 going away anytime soon though, even 2018. There are a TON of 360s out there. The Xbox OG's gen was what, 4 years? The 360 has been going for 10 years now and still has games being made. At this point into the gen of the 360, MS had already stopped making original xbox games while the PS2 still got them for a good while

It may not be considered "AAA" but it's easily my GoTY so far (and I have a PS4 and Bloodborne.)

Not just the best platformer of the year, but one of the best platformers and adventure games of all time IMO.

I liked Sunset Overdrive, Ori looks cool, Forza Horizon is a fun racer, Ryse seemed alright. Titanfall was cool.

I'm looking forward to the new Crackdown and interested to see what Rare is working on. The new Tomb Raider should be awesome too.

That is the reason I bought xbox live and the reason I look forward to GWG each month. Rayman Legends I gotta admit was a bit of a letdown compared to stuff like Crimson Dragon and Strike Suit Zero, but looks like they're back on track again with POOL.

I don't know about you guys but for me, doesn't get any better than firing up my xbox one and going straight into virtual pool. My buddies may send invites for CoD or Battlefield, I even get a borderlands invite here and there, but who has time for that when there's pool to be played.

I find this funny considering I actually bought Pool Nation for the 360 and found it very enjoyable. I was stoked when I heard PN FX would be GWG on the XOne. I love virtual pool.

 
Online for Pool Nation is a broken mess. Friend sees normal pool colored balls when playing UK 8-Ball. They are all supposed to be red and yellow with black 8-ball. Golf didn't show him which hole was the goal hole either.

Where were you a couple days ago when plus1zero was implying that I was apparently the only Xbox user in history that wanted a pool game and that he would never play pool over an FPS, huh? :p

LOL...I'm not surprised you were the one to go looking back that far to find it. I don't think I've ever seen a legitimate post on these boards from you that wasn't cynical. Are you that sad? Not knocking you or anything but..geez, I'm sorry if you're that unhappy.

You don't really deserve a serious response, but there's no cynicism, sadness, or anything like that in my posts unless I'm responding to somebody with an attitude.

After finishing the Resident Evil 5 DLCs I noticed I have nearly 47,000 gs. I'm tempted to buy one of the remaining Double Dragons just to hit 50,000 with it. It still irks me I never bought the arcade Double Dragon.

Like I said, subjective. Only thing I'm really interested in there is Scalebound. Forza Horizon and Titanfall are on the 360 too. Tomb Raider is timed-exclusive. Rare has lost the majority of their old devs so I have low expectations until they actually put out a good game
